We spent a week at the River Palace Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is centrally located near Piazza del Popolo and is, at most, 45 minutes walking from the main neighborhoods in central Rome. There are a lot of delicious restaurants nearby (within 5 minute walk) to check out, too. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The aperitivo/happy hour is a great deal and they offer quite a spread along with the excellent cocktails. The breakfast buffet is quite delicious and, on... Read more

My mother & I booked 3 nights here & we loved it. The hotel is very old-world chic, with marble floors, gleaming brass & carved wood everywhere. The staff are pleasant, helpful, efficient & speak good English. The beds are comfortable & the neighbourhood quiet. The breakfast was very good, with gluten-free options & soya for cereal or latte. The fresh cappuccino are amazing. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Flamino Metro station & Piazza De Popolo. There's an excellent little grocers just acros... Read more

The River Palace hotel is near the Piazza di Popolo, it's an easy 5 minute walk. The staff at the hotel is wonderful. Be sure to ask Luca at the front desk for a dinner recommendation, you won't be disappointed. Happy hour from 6-10pm includes half price drinks & great nibbles. Our 1st night there we considered it dinner as we were so tired it was all we needed. Breakfast has a wide assortment of foods. Ask for a cappuccino, it was delicious. we stayed for 3 nights at this lovely hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms (superior on 6th floor) was comfortable and clean and the breakfast choice was great. All the sights were easy to reach by foot; the reception staff on hand to point you in the right direction. We had a wonderful time; when we (hopefully ) return to Rome we would be more than happy to book the River Palace again

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at the River Palace Hotel in Rome. It was a quiet, refreshing respite from the busy streets and hustle and bustle of the city. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. They very very gracious and pleasant, and went out of their way to make our stay there so enjoyable. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and were welcomed with a wonderful upgrade, a bottle of champagne and a beautifully handwritten welcome and congratulations note. Our room w... Read more

We stayed here on our Honeymoon back in August 2013. The hotel, in my opinion, is in a great location. A Stone's throw from the major sites, and a quick subway ride to the others. The nightly finger foods at the bar were a nice touch too. Overall, it was a great stay. To note, one of the major reasons we stayed here was the fact that this hotel had AC, which was necessary after battling the stifling Roman Heat

We stayed at the River Palace for two nights pre cruise. We took advantage of their limosene service from the Airport and also to the Port and it was great value for money. As for the Hotel it was in such a convenient position we were able to walk to so many of the Rome sights. Although our room was extremely small it was very comfortable and nicely furnished spotlessly clean bathroom. Lovely breakfast included .

Booked this hotel on line and was a little nervous since I was not familiar with Rome. Hotel was terrific. Great location which was very easy for walking everywhere (we're walkers so we liked it but it might be too much for others). The hotel sent a nice email offering to arrange for a car service from the airport. We ended up using it and it was easy and we were very glad we didn't have to figure out a cab or trains when we were exhausted. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (early in the mo... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. At night, the area around the hotel feels a bit sketchy. It is a short walk to the Piazza del Popolo - literally 2 minutes away. Reception was helpful and checkin was easy. There is a bar at the hotel, but no restaurant/hot food. The layout is a bit strange and creates clutter among the guests. There is one lift to the 1st floor, where breakfast is served. To get to high floors, you must walk down the hallway and take another lift. There is just one, so you ... Read more

This hotel was in a good location for our needs. We were able to walk everywhere except from the rail station. The hotel itself was nice but we found it to be noisy, both inside and out. The halls and rooms carry people's voices, footsteps, etc. The staff was exceedingly helpful. They directed us to a wonderful local restaurant our first night there. Breakfast was adequate if not always very fresh in appearance.

The staff is superb and everyone goes out of their way to accommodate your every need, either arranging taxis, recommending dining (well choosen every time) or even helping to get the soccer match on the Television.
