We spent a week at the River Palace Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is centrally located near Piazza del Popolo and is, at most, 45 minutes walking from the main neighborhoods in central Rome. There are a lot of delicious restaurants nearby (within 5 minute walk) to check out, too. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The aperitivo/happy hour is a great deal and they offer quite a spread along with the excellent cocktails. The breakfast buffet is quite delicious and, on... Read more

The staff are pleasant, helpful, efficient & speak good English. The beds are comfortable & the neighbourhood quiet. The breakfast was very good, with gluten-free options & soya for cereal or latte. The fresh cappuccino are amazing. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Flamino Metro station & Piazza De Popolo. There's an excellent little grocers just acros... Read more

Be sure to ask Luca at the front desk for a dinner recommendation, you won't be disappointed. Happy hour from 6-10pm includes half price drinks & great nibbles. All the sights were easy to reach by foot; the reception staff on hand to point you in the right direction. We stayed here on our Honeymoon back in August 2013. The hotel, in my opinion, is in a great location. A Stone's throw from the major sites, and a quick subway ride to the others. The nightly finger foods at the bar were a nice touch too. Overall, it was a great stay. To note, one of the major reasons we stayed here was the fact that this hotel had AC, which was necessary after battling the stifling Roman Heat

Great location which was very easy for walking everywhere (we're walkers so we liked it but it might be too much for others). The hotel sent a nice email offering to arrange for a car service from the airport. Stayed here for 2 nights on business. At night, the area around the hotel feels a bit sketchy. It is a short walk to the Piazza del Popolo - literally 2 minutes away. Reception was helpful and checkin was easy. There is a bar at the hotel, but no restaurant/hot food. The layout is a bit strange and creates clutter among the guests. My boyfriend and myself found this place through looking hotels in trip advisor. The hotel rooms are quite compact and small but this is the norm for hotel rooms in the centre of Rome, we chose a deluxe room and we weren't disappointed, it was a modest size with all the little things that come with a nice hotel, tea coffee facilities, hotel robes and slippers and room safe. If you need a nice walk into the park, the Villa Borghese park is right there, all the major attractions can be reached by foot in reasonable amount of time. The room is great, everything you need for a relaxing stay. A little strange the fact that you should change the elevator at the first floor, but you get used with it immedia... Read more

We booked 3 rooms: the large suite with a private terrace on the top floor, a larger double on the 1st floor and a single on the 3rd floor. The top floor suite was large, clean, had a comfortable King bed and the terrace was a real treat! The bathroom however, although clean, only has a large tub (no shower) and it's a little on the dated side. Across the street from the Piazza del Popolo, nice restaurants and walking distance to the Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain and many nice shops along the way. Loved everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The happy hour spread was incredible. The Pantheon is 1.1mile away so we walked over. The walk was easy the street is full of shops to look at or stop in during the walk. We were prepared for the room being a little small thanks to other reviews. We didn't mind. The shower was a lot smaller than expected but you get used to it. We weren't in the room much we got up got dressed and went on tours by th... Read more

The hotel is very close to the Piazza del Popolo but is quiet and this is conducive to a good night's sleep. We stayed in a superior double room. It was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good happy hour from 5 until 10 pm each evening. The main hotel areas are comfortable, exceptionally clean and the decor is pl... Read more
