My partner booked this hotel for a surprise birthday week away for me in Rome. When we arrived to the hotel it looked very nice and modern. However when we got into our room we was opposite a main international railway station!! The first night we both hardly slept as it was either the noise of the trains, announcements being made at the station or people running on the treadmill in the gym above our room!! The majority of the staff within the hotel were friendly, however there were a few on rec... Read more

Hotel is in a good location, all major attractions are within walkable distance , plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes of walk. Some people don't like the surroundings but they didn't bother me. Staff was excellent. Now - room is unfortunately pretty horrible. Shower in the middle of the room is an example how somebody tried really hard to screw something as simple as shower up (in reality they tried to make rooms more compact to squeeze more of them in - I get it). Major deal breaker for me ... Read more

I visited here with my husband and parents in law for a long weekend The hotel is well located near to the train station and a 10minute walk to the bus tour stops. We used Uber or taxis quite a bit as my parents in law didn't want to walk so far but in all honesty it's not that far from the colosseum - maybe a 25 min walk. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and given rooms on the 6th floor. I had advised the hotel by email in advance that it was my mother in laws birthday and they very kindly... Read more

Simply superb. Value to money. Information desk really helpful to explore the city in the most safest mode. Will recommend you all to buy the gifts from the east street beside the coliseum. Reasonable and better prices compare to city malls. If interested to have dinner outside and looking for Indian cuisines - then the first street beside the railway station could be the best choice.

I was facinated by the photos on the website, so we booked five Junior Suites in anticipation and confirmation from property and website I booked from. I was assured of 1. Rooms with Balcony.(Only one room had balcony) 2. Smoking Rooms, ( Hotel has reservations against smoking) 3. Family of four can be accommodated. ( The designer took all measures to explore privacy being breached, if your are travelling with family.) 4. Rude staff ( All our requests in the room regarding privacy, refilling of... Read more

We supposedly had a superior room but it is really quite poor - open plan bathroom, hanging rail instead of wardrobe, tiny shelves not drawers so very little storage. At checking much was made of the free minibar, to be replenished daily - except it wasn't fully replenished! The toiletries are ok - thisworks. Arrived back at our room to find two women in there having a chat whilst holding one of my tops! Reception excellent - really helpful. Swimming pool and sun deck fantastic but rooms cheap a... Contras: - personell not really helpfull. If you are expecting some etras dir to e.g. being a status member, you will have to ask for it. I am a sophisticated traveller and my travel advisor was suppose to have booked me into the Bernini 5 Star but sent me here instead. - how disappointing!! If you are looking for quiet ellegance this is not the place for you. The hotel is very sleek and minimalist with dark charcoal grey hallways that feel like a cave. The lights in the bathroom are terrible - you can hardly see yourself in the mirror or the shower. The hair dryer had not even been attached to the wall so was very difficult... Read more

We stayed here on our last night in Italy. The hotel is right across from Termini Station which was very convenient as we came in on the train from Orvieto. The lobby is ultra modern in design and there was plenty of help with check in. I spend 3 nigthts to this hotel. IT is a good job when they say a 5 stars, is more like a 3 stars: all around is full of Homeless, IT is a lot of noise from the cars and trains from outside (like IT are in your room), a really urine smell in the room, the minibar is free, But is empty! The swiming pool is the only one for a 5 stars hotel.

This was not our first visit to Rome but the first at this hotel. Although a bit nervous after reading other reviews about the hotel I can honestly say our stay was fantastic. There was a slight issue with our room booking which to be fair was not the hotels or our fault and it meant that our first night we did not get the third bed in the room for my son that I expected. Mark at reception was amazing and although it did mean we had to squash up the first night we did get upgraded to a suite for... Read more

Staying for four nights as part of the crew for a significant rock concert in Circus Maximus, I am well aware that we don't always get to stay in the best hotel, but 60-odd rooms for our party usually commands a little effort. As many others have said, the design of the rooms either strikes one as charming or irritating. I found it tired, shabby, a joke gone cold. The aircon worked just fine, and I was quite prepared to wait it out until the next one, but I decided on night 2 to have some food... Read more

This hotel, close to the train station, is in a bad area of town. That said, the hotel room has an ultra modern set up that may be good for single, business travelers, but was awkward for a couple. With the shower immediately behind the head board of the bed, it created a strange environment. I woke up earlier than my hubby one day and discovered there was very little I could do in that room without waking him up. The best thing about the Radisson Blu ES is the rooftop pool and bar area. There are few other hotels right in the centre of Rome where you can enjoy a sun bathe and swim, at mid range rates. It's also only 5 min walk from Termini, the main railway station. Not the best area in Rome (close to central railway stations rarely are) but convenient for the Leonardo Express to the airport. Many pluses for this particular hotel. The staff especially the food and beverage staff were superb. The reception staff were of a very good standard for this type of hotel, however the hotel fell short on the concierge which was rude and completely uninterested in assisting with our inquiries and the nerve in staring that all stores in central Rome closed at 7pm discovering that they are open later. The rooms are okay, definitely not 5 star standards our shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold, and the toilet light didn't work. They offered us an upgrade to access the ... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for four nights, it was ideal for us as we did a few excursions from the station, either getting a bus or train elsewhere. However if this is your first time to Rome I would recommend finding somewhere closer to the historic centre. When we got back in the evenings we would go towards the historic centre as it‚??s safer and more places to eat and drink but the area around termini is not to be desired, we didn‚??t run into any trouble but it was a relief on... If you are looking for a classical Roman city centre hotel (which are often dark, old and over heavily decorated), then this is not for you. I tend to like Radisson Blu's clean minimal decor which is characteristic of all their hotels. Their Rome hotel is situated next to the main station and the sites are easily accessible on foot (eg Colisseum and Forum 12 mins and Spanish steps 20 mins). The area around the station is absolutely fine (not like some cities where the station is to be avoided) a... Read more

We booked this knowing that our 2 kids (2 and 5) would need a cool down after sight seeing in Rome! The pool area didn't let us down! Such a lovely space and we always got beds. The rooms are interesting. Lighting is bizarre and a lack of hidden wardrobe space made it look messy with the four of us in the room! We had an outlook over Termini station which we thought would be a problem noise wise but in the end was fine. Be careful around the local area at night... It is slightly unsavoury but th... Lovely hotel, good facilities, very clean. Great rooftop swimming area with fantastic views. The only downside to this hotel is the glass doors on the toilets in the rooms. We personally found these a little embarrasing

The hotel was near the train station so easy if travelling by train. The room was good, quiet and roof top swimming pool was highlight. Our room was not ready, but relaxed by the pool. Breakfast was excellent and would recommend eating outside on patio for the breeze. If you don't mind walking, it's a bit out of the way but was great for us. We walked to colosseum and forum easily. The only complaint was the shower needs to be looked at for a bit stronger flow!

I'm not sure how this hotel got a five star rating, our sink has a crack in the basin, the toilets are behind a frosted door and the shower has no door whatsoever so had to take it in shifts not to be in the bathroom area while the other took a shower! Ridiculous. Didnt have breakfast, this should be included and for ‚?¨26 per person for a buffet is extortionate

Advantages: Close to Termini station (5min by walk). Close to Coloseum (15 min by walk). Clean room and bathroom. Tasty breakfast. There is spa and swimming pool but I didn't have time for it. I was there for 4 nights and everything was OK.

A very nice hotel, it is evident that the hotel has been designed from the get go. This mostly owners well, but the bath room design does have some strange decisions. No shelves in the bathroom to put bathroom accessories on, everything needs to be put on the floor. The sink is flat and slightly angled towards the floor, thus everything tools of, including the soap. The door is a grey piece of glass, totally sound transparent, romantic? Minor niggles perhaps, but still a shame in an otherwise ve... Read more

On Our Final Leg of an Epic Vacation We stayed an additional Day in Rome to soak up the Sights & Sounds. Check-In was fast & efficient. Our room was open planned right across from the Rail. The Modern décor with Green Accents, dime lighting & open Bathroom. The bed was extremely hard due to a thin Mattress & the Ultra Thin Pillows was like Sleeping on the Beach using Towels. The weird Bedhead was poorly maintained from numerous Knocks as a Hotel Bedroom would get. The Baffling Location of a O... Read more

I was really excited to get to Rome and stay for 5 days. Upon arrival, not what I expected. Shower is attached to the bed, reception was not a pleasant experience. Electrical issues in the room. I would like to thank Luca and the bar/restaurant team. Very professional and helpful. Thanks to Cristian, he was awesome: professional, personable, and very helpful. It is in my opinion that this hotel is overpriced for location and amenities.

We booked this hotel through an offer with Secret Escapes as it looked to be in a convenient location, easy to get to the main tourist sites - Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, colosseum etc. However the area around the main train station isn't the best in town, but my wife and I had no problem whilst walking around. As always I read a lot of reviews about the Radisson Blu, to try and get a feel for the place prior to travelling and was surprised by the very different experiences people ... Read more

The hotel is located a few meters away from the central station, that means you can easily access the public transportation systems offered by the city of Rome. But within a 15-20 min walk you'll be in the middle of just about everything. So even if it's not located in the middle of all tourist activities, it's still a great location. Some of the reviews mentions a somewhat "bad neighbourhood", we haven't experienced that. The neighbourhood is always full of activities and sounds due to the... Read more

Swimming pool on the roof is great but everything around it is very dirty. Especially jacuzzi was disgusting. Yellow dirt everywhere, when you are in jacuzzi and look up - roof wasn't cleaned for very long time. Regarding room. Shower in the middle of the room is a great idea but shower curtains are not. I don't think they change them and wash them on regular basis. This also looks very cheap - not like 5 star. Location of the hotel in scary, dirty neighbourhood. Staff wasn't too nice. Wh... The area and location of this hotel is not great, nothing near, streets feel unsafe. More disappointingly is the poor customer service. Staff unfriendly, not trained - took us over an hour to check in. The pool dining service awful. No place for a nice dinner, tables dirty, and staff unhelpful. Hotel needs renovation, our sink in our bathroom had a massive crack in it, all in all not a level of hotel you would expect from the Radisson blu.

Being August, Rome is so hot so we found a local pool to visit for the day. At reception we were sent up and grabbed a sun bed. The staff were lovely until we said we were just guests and after that, we didn't get the best treatment. We were marched to the till to pay, despite explaining the receptionist told us just to come up and no one met us at the pool entrance, so we was not trying to con them, we just did not know where to pay. Next to the Roma termini, you can walk there. But quite noisy location. The other side of the hotel is the market. Our superior room was tired and no view. The pool area was overpopulated, but free. The sauna was for extra fee. The service in the restaurant was inadequate and from the food we expected something more. The breakfast was the best thing we get from this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days with my husband and had a great experience. The staff is helpful and well organised. The help desk will guide you on attractions nearby and also help you buy required passes. Luggage can be kept with the hotel even after you check out as you wait for your flight or train. I stayed here two nights in May this year for work. I got in quite late so ordered room service - while a bit slow (50 minutes), the quality was excellent. I could hear conversations and the TV in the room next door so the soundproofing could be better. The oddest part of this hotel were the concept items: the reception desk is covered by fabric stretched over oddly shaped ribs; there is a light that inflates like a balloon when you turn it on, and the shower is in the middle of the room. best thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool. Although crowded, it was refreshing to spend afternoons swimming. Location near the train station which is somewhat convenient but it does mean that for all of the Rome attractions you either have to walk several miles, taxi or take the metro. Often, I observed, the staff as they performed their duties during busy breakfast time ‚?? some very professional indeed. I would like to however single out one waiter - Christian Popa. If you don't like to fall into the middle of the bed be sure to ask again for a queen or king one piece bed.

I'm sure this hotel was really good in the past but our room needed some overdue maintenance work. The rooms were quirky, which was interesting, but some basics were problematic. For example, the air conditioning was poor, the bath was blocked, a light fitting was very loose and some paintwork was peeling. Staff were pleasant but nothing exceptional.

I am not usually someone to write negative reviews, as always I think it's best to discuss any problems or misunderstandings directly with the Hotel. However in this case, I felt i had to share my experiences so that others wouldn't make the same mistake. Our stay at the Radisson Blu was easily the low point of our time spent in Italy.
