My partner booked this hotel for a surprise birthday week away for me in Rome. When we arrived to the hotel it looked very nice and modern. However when we got into our room we was opposite a main international railway station!! The first night we both hardly slept as it was either the noise of the trains, announcements being made at the station or people running on the treadmill in the gym above our room!! The majority of the staff within the hotel were friendly, however there were a few on rec... Read more

Hotel is in a good location, all major attractions are within walkable distance , plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes of walk. Some people don't like the surroundings but they didn't bother me. Staff was excellent. Now - room is unfortunately pretty horrible. Shower in the middle of the room is an example how somebody tried really hard to screw something as simple as shower up (in reality they tried to make rooms more compact to squeeze more of them in - I get it). Major deal breaker for me ... Read more

I visited here with my husband and parents in law for a long weekend The hotel is well located near to the train station and a 10minute walk to the bus tour stops. We used Uber or taxis quite a bit as my parents in law didn't want to walk so far but in all honesty it's not that far from the colosseum - maybe a 25 min walk. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and given rooms on the 6th floor. I had advised the hotel by email in advance that it was my mother in laws birthday and they very kindly... Read more

Simply superb. Value to money. Information desk really helpful to explore the city in the most safest mode. Will recommend you all to buy the gifts from the east street beside the coliseum. Reasonable and better prices compare to city malls. If interested to have dinner outside and looking for Indian cuisines - then the first street beside the railway station could be the best choice.

Rooms with Balcony.(Only one room had balcony) 2. Smoking Rooms, ( Hotel has reservations against smoking) 3. Family of four can be accommodated. We supposedly had a superior room but it is really quite poor - open plan bathroom, hanging rail instead of wardrobe, tiny shelves not drawers so very little storage. At checking much was made of the free minibar, to be replenished daily - except it wasn't fully replenished! The toiletries are ok - thisworks. Arrived back at our room to find two women in there having a chat whilst holding one of my tops! Reception excellent - really helpful. Swimming pool and sun deck fantastic but rooms cheap a... I am a sophisticated traveller and my travel advisor was suppose to have booked me into the Bernini 5 Star but sent me here instead. - how disappointing!! If you are looking for quiet ellegance this is not the place for you. The hotel is very sleek and minimalist with dark charcoal grey hallways that feel like a cave. We stayed here on our last night in Italy. The hotel is right across from Termini Station which was very convenient as we came in on the train from Orvieto. The lobby is ultra modern in design and there was plenty of help with check in. I spend 3 nigthts to this hotel. IT is a good job when they say a 5 stars, is more like a 3 stars: all around is full of Homeless, IT is a lot of noise from the cars and trains from outside (like IT are in your room), a really urine smell in the room, the minibar is free, But is empty! This was not our first visit to Rome but the first at this hotel. Although a bit nervous after reading other reviews about the hotel I can honestly say our stay was fantastic. There was a slight issue with our room booking which to be fair was not the hotels or our fault and it meant that our first night we did not get the third bed in the room for my son that I expected. Staying for four nights as part of the crew for a significant rock concert in Circus Maximus, I am well aware that we don't always get to stay in the best hotel, but 60-odd rooms for our party usually commands a little effort. As many others have said, the design of the rooms either strikes one as charming or irritating. I found it tired, shabby, a joke gone cold. The aircon worked just fine, and I was quite prepared to wait it out until the next one, but I decided on night 2 to have some food... Read more

This hotel, close to the train station, is in a bad area of town. That said, the hotel room has an ultra modern set up that may be good for single, business travelers, but was awkward for a couple. With the shower immediately behind the head board of the bed, it created a strange environment. I woke up earlier than my hubby one day and discovered there was very little I could do in that room without waking him up. The best thing about the Radisson Blu ES is the rooftop pool and bar area. There are few other hotels right in the centre of Rome where you can enjoy a sun bathe and swim, at mid range rates. It's also only 5 min walk from Termini, the main railway station. Not the best area in Rome (close to central railway stations rarely are) but convenient for the Leonardo Express to the airport. Many pluses for this particular hotel. The staff especially the food and beverage staff were superb. The reception staff were of a very good standard for this type of hotel, however the hotel fell short on the concierge which was rude and completely uninterested in assisting with our inquiries and the nerve in staring that all stores in central Rome closed at 7pm discovering that they are open later. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for four nights, it was ideal for us as we did a few excursions from the station, either getting a bus or train elsewhere. However if this is your first time to Rome I would recommend finding somewhere closer to the historic centre. When we got back in the evenings we would go towards the historic centre as it‚??s safer and more places to eat and drink but the area around termini is not to be desired, we didn‚??t run into any trouble but it was a relief on... If you are looking for a classical Roman city centre hotel (which are often dark, old and over heavily decorated), then this is not for you. I tend to like Radisson Blu's clean minimal decor which is characteristic of all their hotels. Their Rome hotel is situated next to the main station and the sites are easily accessible on foot (eg Colisseum and Forum 12 mins and Spanish steps 20 mins). The area around the station is absolutely fine (not like some cities where the station is to be avoided) a... Read more

We booked this knowing that our 2 kids (2 and 5) would need a cool down after sight seeing in Rome! The pool area didn't let us down! Such a lovely space and we always got beds. The rooms are interesting. Lighting is bizarre and a lack of hidden wardrobe space made it look messy with the four of us in the room! We had an outlook over Termini station which we thought would be a problem noise wise but in the end was fine. Be careful around the local area at night... It is slightly unsavoury but th... The hotel was near the train station so easy if travelling by train. The room was good, quiet and roof top swimming pool was highlight. Our room was not ready, but relaxed by the pool. Breakfast was excellent and would recommend eating outside on patio for the breeze. If you don't mind walking, it's a bit out of the way but was great for us. We walked to colosseum and forum easily. The only complaint was the shower needs to be looked at for a bit stronger flow!

I'm not sure how this hotel got a five star rating, our sink has a crack in the basin, the toilets are behind a frosted door and the shower has no door whatsoever so had to take it in shifts not to be in the bathroom area while the other took a shower! Ridiculous. Didnt have breakfast, this should be included and for ‚?¨26 per person for a buffet is extortionate

A very nice hotel, it is evident that the hotel has been designed from the get go. This mostly owners well, but the bath room design does have some strange decisions. No shelves in the bathroom to put bathroom accessories on, everything needs to be put on the floor. The sink is flat and slightly angled towards the floor, thus everything tools of, including the soap. The door is a grey piece of glass, totally sound transparent, romantic? My partner and I loved the hotel. Central location and easy access to the metro and tourist attractions. The staff were marvellous and very friendly. The room itself (junior suite) was spacious and had a terrace which unfortunately overlooked the train station. Noise from the trains were ever present throughout the night but a very enjoyable stay and worth every penny

We stayed in the hotel for a meeting in October and it was considered an all around success due also to the excelente meeting Space, good quality food, top floor meal √°rea/ bar and swimming pool as well as the staff from all departments that took such good care to accommodate all the group requests. Negative point was the central air conditioned that did not work properly when the temperature dropped and the hotel was all around cold but this did not set up back the good feedback!

The hotel is situated between the main railway station and the edge of the Asian/African food market. The hotel has taken on board comment from previous trip advisor reviews. The room we had had separated the bedroom from the bathroom. The spa bath was certainly a bonus after a hard days sightseeing relaxing the tired muscles. Room service was punctual , efficient and friendly. The graffiti that doubs all stationary items in Rome was disconcerting late at night so the hotel organised free t... Read more

Me and my wife went for the week for our one year anniversary, and I got to say this is one of the best hotels iv ever stayed at, the staff were brilliant and the food was great, the hotel inside looks very modern and colourful, staff were always on hand to help even though I wasn't an easy guest but the my stayed very professional, the only thing I will say is the consierge desk as two people a man and sometimes a women, the women was again very informative and lovely whereas the man was also i... we used points and paid cash for our stay. on check in we were treated like lower class guests because we were using points and told no upgrade available because hotel was sold out. the fact is we rarely saw other guests in the hotel. The superior room was extremely small and no air conditioning! TV remotes had to be replaced 3 times. Based on our "superior room" on the 5th floor we were not eligible to order room service. No coffee in the room, carpet was dirty and old shag!! In addition, the... Read more

3 star hotel standarts. Old fashioned. Need to renovate. Close to termini so no need to use public transport or taxi, can walk everywhere. Helpfull staff. Because of location i will think about to stay again.

This hotel sucks. Room 86 degrees for four days, window opens tiny crack, and staff could care less. The staff adds insult to injury when they don't care. Not one or two staff members, but the entire team. it is a culture of frankly not really caring. Don't believe it when they say it is a 4 star hotel. No way, not by any stretch. Hotel is falling into disrepair. 100s of hotels in this district, but it is on the edge of the district so after dark it is dicey walking back to hotel. Don't get ripp... Read more

We stayed here for a conference and on a group booking and had a very good experience. The room was modern and clean and I even had a small balcony. I didn't use the rooftop pool but it sure looked great. Breakfast was good. The location is literally next to Termini station so very central but not necessarily a pretty area. I felt a bit uneasy a few times when walking back at night. I'd stay here again if travelling on business, as a tourist I'd choose a different location.

Really nice designed hotel. The area where is situated is not that nice. Small and interesting rooms. We had to change the room because the one we saw first was not cleaned properly. Decent breakfast. Good restaurants and transportation nearby.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is about 10 walking distant to Termini. If you take Metro, there is another station that is 5 minutes walking distant at other direction. The staff were friendly and helpful if you have any question. It was a bit scary walking at this location at night because it is in the middle of China Town I think. There are many immigrant people standing outside. I would recommend this hotel to people who like easy access to the train/metro system. Other than that... Read more

I stayed here in Early November of 2016. I chose the hotel because of the Pool but was disappointed because it was not open this late in the year. The Hotel is very Modern and mostly clean. The Carpets in the Hallways are a bit worn but not that bad. The Location is perfect if you are taking a train as it is very close to the Main Train Station, Termini. There are lots of restaurants in the area also. The Room is Modern and the bed was very comfortable. I did have one problem though a... Read more

Recommended as near all the major sites, nothing could be further from the truth. We always resorted to taxis from the hotel as we had a day's walking ahead of us exploring the wonders of this magnificent city we were visiting for the first time. Hotel situation's in a run-down area, with graffiti everywhere, large, overflowing and unemptied rubbish containers in great evidence. Not pleasant. The hotel? Well it offered just what most people would want, I guess: a comfortable bed, a well-l... Read more

This hotel is not the most beautiful one, it's style is not really latest fashion, but it's rooms are bigger than in most Italian hotels, they are well equipped and this has absolutely the best concierge you can imagine. Her name is Bernadette and she has the solution for each question or problem you have. Wether it is the train to Ostia, she finds out where you have to go exactly in the station when changing, or the perfect recommendation for YOUR restaurant Bernadette helps. Besides here Engli... We went to Rome in September and our agent booked for us a room in radisson blu . Our room was in the third floor , the bed was terrible , the mattress wasn't comfortable and the room service was terrible , the reception desk was helpful which was the only good thing in our stay . The rooms weren't so clean and the bathroom was leaking ... the neighborhood of the hotel is not safe and u need a taxi to go to all the touristic places ...

I booked this hotel with a friend in order to visit Rome from November 10-13th 2017. I'm familiar with hotels in the Carlson-Reizidor group within the UK and expected similar standards. I was sadly disappointed and left resigned to a wholly inappropriate twin bed room layout for the 3-night stay. Positives - Close to rail facilities, easy for taxi bookings. I've known my friend for around 28 years and we've shared both good and bad experiences together. But up until this last few days, I hadn'... Read more

Third time in Rome. i stayed two night at the standard double room. Really have to say the experience is a bit weird. Location is good, very near to the train station and lots of restaurants//pubs/bars. You can understand the ambition that the hotel designer tried to achieve but just you know a bit weird. haha. i tried the breakfast and dinner. Both are good ( but honestly food and drinks are really good in Rome overall) Great view at the pool ( breakfast). Super market is like in 2 min walk ... Read more

We travelled from Milan to Rome after attending the Italian GP. We chose this hotel as it was situated very close to the train station so it meant that when our train arrive at midnight, we didn't have far to walk! The layout is nice but a little odd. There's a huge open space in the middle and you can walk around in a complete rectangle on each floor. The rooms are made to look a little bit like you're outside with a grass-like carpet. There is also no privacy when taking a shower or using the ... Read more

i love design. i love design hotels but this hotel is all style and no substance. the quality of the construction and details are so poor. the hotel is only 4 years old and seems so run down and needs a serious renovation. I would love to redesign it to make it far more comfortable, more functional, etc. The lighting was so poor in my room. the glass doors are awkward and heavy. the place feels tattered. the wood floors are too cold and the lace feels a bit depressing. the building is beautiful ... The hotel location is fantastic, it's a close walk to the colosseum & other monuments. Booked this Junior suite for my partner's 21st birthday for 4 days and expected it to be in a 4* location considering the rating of the hotel, however, it is situated in some very dodgy back roads covered in graffiti and prostitutes on every corner. The hotel is right behind train tracks so if you are a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend this place. We had 24 hour layover in Rome and I booked this hotel thinking that one night at Radisson Blu (it being know for efficient comfort) cannot be bad. As such we had quite late arrival, and so our first experience was neighbourhood - people sleeping rough, some strange people trying to strike conversations with me or my wife - quite uneasy feeling. Room has most weird arrangement I've seen ever (and I stayed in excess of 1,000 nights in various hotels). The bathroom without any door, with toilet ... Read more

The reception area is a disaster. I had to ask several times if this is really part of the Radisson American Chain or some sham Italian hotel with the same name. The reception is filled with arrogant, rude and very stupid people. My company booked the room but it seems the reservation department sits on Mars and I was informed that they have no information. This Hotel is distinctly lacking something. It is trying to be all modern and fancy but comes off looking very tacky and a little depressing. My room has a black wall and a grey wall and charcoal grey curtains. It has a lamp on the wall which is made of fabric and has a noisey fan in it to blow the fabric into a baloon...(see photo).
