We stayed here for 7 nights in May after reading the other trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were helpful, friendly and always had a smile. We booked a suite which was everything you needed for a week away. The buffet breakfast was great , everything was very fresh and plentiful. The hotel although on the outskirts of Rome was easily accessible with the 360 bus stopping outside the hotel, a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustl... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend May 2016 to celebrate a birthday. We had the Junior Suite Red Room which had its own private patio. This was so lovely to relax with a glass of your favourite tipple after a long day site seeing. the king size bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have experienced when away from home and the space was great. breakfast is continental and was lovely to start your day with. Coffee amazing! the staff at reception was so helpful and lovely too. we... Read more

I chose this hotel as I could have both a balcony and a bath. The hotel was situated in a lovely, quiet residential area away from all the noise of Rome. It was easy to get about though to see all the sights with a bus stop practically right accross the road. We had a small suite which was lovely and came with a large terrace. The room was both comfortable and very clean and the staff extremely helpful. I left a jacket behind and the staff posted it on to me in the UK. They even provided me with... Read more

Visit Hotel Villa Duse on the Bank Holiday weekend, for 3 nights. A excellent stay, a nice residential area with easy links around room. Just take bus no 360 and you can get links to many places around Rome or tram no 19. Will certainly recommend a private taxi to and from the airport for ease also

Business stay for 5 days. Hotel is in great condition, notably compared to tourist hotels in city center. Small and stylish. Very quiet. I very much enjoyed the breakfast, the outside seating and the overall calmness. You cannot walk from there to major tourist attractions. Taxis don't cost much though. We had a rental car, street parking was ok, as long as you know how to park in really tight spots. Night life is not too abundant in walking distance unless you are a very good walker. ... Read more

We were delighted with our 4 night stay at the Hotel Villa Duse. We stayed in the Tower Room, which had a lot of character and gave us great views of the surrounding neighbourhood. Although the hotel is a little way from the city centre, that wasn't an issue for us once we had cracked the tram and bus system. And a pleasant walk into the city through the Villa Borghese only took around 40 minutes. There was a reasonable selection of eateries in the surrounding area. A big plus for us was coming ... Enjoyed our 2 nights in the tower room, which was really beautiful and very impressive on arrival. The location is convenient, just out of the city centre but within a 45 min walk or 20 min taxi of all the main attractions. The staff were great, as was the breakfast but there were a few things that weren't so good.. - the hotel wouldn't provide an iron which meant I had nothing to wear and looked like a complete scruff (although my wife would say I do anyway:-)!!) - the shower was constantly... We were greeted very warmly upon our arrival and before we ventured out into Rome on our first day the reception were happy to provide us with maps, tips and public service routes. They couldn't have been more helpful and spoke English fluently. The reception even called the Borghese Gallery to book a reservation for us whilst we went out for the day. Fantastic service. There is a bus stop around 5 minutes walk from the hotel as well as a tram stop about 10 minutes walk away. The location... Read more

We spent the last 4 days of our Italy trip in Villa Duse, Rome. I would hate to call it a hotel because it was more of a home for those 4 days. It is a beautiful house with elegantly designed spaces and one cannot miss the unique pieces of furniture in the rooms as well as common spaces. The bath rooms are beautifully done up in Statuario marble with plenty of amenities thrown in. The rooms albeit on the smaller side are very comfortable and furnished very well. The staff is very helpful and gav... Read more

When I was researching the hotel I read up on the distance it was from the centre of Rome, and it seemed to be pretty manageable. Most reviews pointed out that the service level and relative peaceful and quiet nature of the hotel and it's surroundings were well worth the distance. The welcome, the service and the room were all great indeed: great tips and friendly welcome, explanations about public transport and a willingness to look up and book whatever we had in mind. The room was great as w... Read more

We booked Hotel Villa Duse based on the flawless reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed! The hotel is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but is within reasonable walking distance to amenities or the 360 bus is close by that goes down to Termini. The area is quiet and residential but felt safe at night. We stayed in the penthouse tower room, and had our own elevator access and roof terrace. The room had all necessary amenities, was very clean and well kept. T... Read more

What made my stay so special is that Rome can be a loud, chaotic city and Hotel Villa Duse is in a part of the city that is upscale, safe, and very quiet. The hotel feels more like a boutique hotel and the accommodations were very comfortable. I had a private terrace to enjoy, and that made me feel even more like I had my own little Roman oasis. The staff are warm, friendly, helpful and will do whatever you need to accommodate your guests. Probably the best way to get around is cab or Uber, but ... Read more

As someone who's herd about how notorious Italian hotel can be, I was very much releaved when entering the most spacious room with a very classic design. I won't tell you that the distance away from the city didn't bother me, but if you looking for a good night's sleep and maybe a nice romantic spot, this is definitely a hotel worth considering.

After two weeks in Rome and the Amalfi Coast, we were thrilled to spend our final night in this stunning hotel. The common areas and the rooms are so beautifully appointed. The art is gorgeous and the small grounds lovely. Loved the appointments of the room though ours was somewhat small, it was quite nicely done. The bath was small but terrific with multiple shower heads and gorgeous sink. The breakfast area is contemporary with classic touches, the perfect foil. Our good was generous and delig... Read more

It seemed quite a taxi ride to the hotel but what a lovely surprise to find this lovely hotel tucked away. The staff were extremely helpful giving us advice in restaurants and public transport. Our room was large and very elegant. The bed was one of the best we have slept in. It was sumptuous and so comfortable. The blackout blind was a bonus as my partner loves his man cave. What a super place to stay! The hotel is exactly as the pictures show with marble every where. Staff are excellent and very help in sharing knowledge of the city. Rooms are spacious with a very comfortable huge bed. Breakfast was a varied offering of sweet and savoury and a tip would be to get breakfast included in room price. Trams 3 and 19 are close to hotel as is bus 360. Superb place to stay outside the hustle and bustle of the city.
