The hotel is very well located and all important attractions are at a walking distance. Its in the middle of all activity hence a bit noisy but that gives you the feel of the city. The staff was helpful though the breakfast spread needs to be worked upon. The guided tours had a pick up from the hotel that made it easy. The hotel offers a comparatively more economical drop to airport by a cab that should be explored if travelling with family.

My friend and I booked a room in Hotel Tritone for nine days in February. The room was certainly adequate, especially after we had settled in for a couple of days. The only things I would have liked would have been a bit of counter space or a shelf in the bathroom where I could arrange my shaving needs, etc., and an armchair in the room. But those things are small potatoes. All in all our stay was comfortable. And, of course, it's nice to be in the center of things. The hotel is just a cou... Read more

The room was basic but comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely fine- hot and cold options, fruit, yogurt etc. Can't complain. The reception staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located. 20 minutes walk from The Colloseum and 25 minutes from the Vatican. AND just around the corner from the fountain that everyone wants to see :)

Have just got back from Rome. Stopped in the Hotel Tritone and what a good choice we made. Room was an ample size. Excellent location. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a choice of hot and cold. Bacon was very nice. Could have done with more tea and coffee satchets and milk pots in the room but there were plenty in the breakfast location so we took some extras back to the room. We were very pleased with this hotel and this will again be our choice of hotel on a return visit. E... Read more

I will say everything about this place was nice except for the bathroom which was probably 12 feet by 3.5 feet and a ridiculously small shower that was nearly impossible to move around in, creating a mass flood as the curtain was so long it covered the drain and the flow of water spread opposite of the outside drain. On the positive side, nice room and great breakfast and central location.

Hotel staff was the BEST!! We walked just around the corner to the Trevi Fountain, so BEAUTIFUL!! We walked to the Spanish Steps, The Colosseum, the Capitol Building and all over the streets of Rome. We would go back in a heartbeat!!

Just home from a four day trip to Rome. This was our fifth time to Rome and we made our reservation on a short notice. Earlier we have stayed in better hotels but Tritone was a good choice as we wanted to have everything in a walking distance from the hotel. The room was clean and big enough, the bathroom very small but OK. Breakfast OK but nothing special. Friendly staff. All in all OK as we did not spend so much time in the hotel. So, in Rome it is all about the location of the hotel.

Just stayed June 2016 in Hotel Tritone, my husband and I were very pleased and the gentlemen at reception very pleasant and helpful especially Roberto, the room had plenty of space and nice a clean, only fault we could find was the shower curtain kept sticking to you and water going on floor this could easily be rectified by a shower screen doors.Hotel is in a fantastic location within walking distance to everything.

One word: mould. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere. -- There's nothing more to say really, however the minimum characters is 200 so I may as well elaborate :) The room we were in had an air-conditioner unit sitting on the carpet, which had obviously leaked at some stage, and there was a big patch of mould on the carpet (see photo ?? to be uploaded shortly) ?? and the room absolutely stunk. Due to health reasons, we decided it was best to check out and find accommodation elsewhere. Th... Read more

My sister and I just spend 4 nights at the Tritone Hotel in Rome for her birthday. We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were amazing from the time we walked in till the time we left. The rooms was clean and spacious with a very inviting aircon! The breakfasts in the morning were fantastic and the lady that works in the dinning room was so friendly. You could not wish for a better location we were able to walk everywhere with ease. I would highly recommend the Tritone and would stay in ... Read more

The location of this hotel makes up for any flaw that might exist otherwise. Its one block away from trevi fountain and walking distance from pantheon, colosseum, barberini metro station and roma termini railway station. Its a small hotel with spacious rooms and has most modern amenities. If you are visiting Rome as a tourist who wants to see as many attractions as possible in a short stay then this might just be the perfect place for you.

Three tones: Best location, small but very efficient but above all nice staff. Neo classic rooms and good breakfast. Very clean and cool. It has all You need to visit Rome. Good bathroom in the superior area. Indrit Zahiri, Albania.

Although the location is excellent, close to tourist bus routes as well as the Fountain, the rooms are rather dingy and the breakfast provided is not great. There are an abundance of restaurants in the area - I would advise eating there if possible. The breakfast is on the highest floor, which is fine if you can walk the required number of stairs. For those who are not so stable, the lift is an alarming experience. It genuinely looks like it is going to fall apart. The views and location are goo... Read more

The rooms are clean. Staff were nice. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of restaurants nearby. There's also a coffeeshop below. It has a very convenient location!! Just around the corner and you could find Fontana de Trevi! 3 mins walk to Spanish steps (but closed currently). We were also able to walk from Piazza navona and the pantheon. Further away was the colosseum, but still we were able to walk it. :) It is just about 2 mins walk to Barberini station! There's a bus stop nearby!

this place is so close to the city and the Trevi Fountain, truly wonderful, you walk out and you are in the city centre. Great coffee and breakfast. The rooms are small, but clean. The elevator looks like it is ancient, only 2 people at a time. But all in all the staff are willing to help you.

The location of this hotel is one of the best things about it. It's just minutes from the Trevi Fountain which makes Vatican City and the Colloseum 30-45 minutes' walks away. Be ready for loud traffic noise though, especially on the first floor. It was fine for us with the windows closed (there was air conditioning) but it's incredibly loud with them open. We slept fine but just be ready for it to be loud! It's the price you pay for a city centre location so it didn't bother us. The break... Read more

1st night we had upgraded to a superior room. It was on the 3rd floor and very adequate for our needs. Traffic noise is a small issue especially if you open the window, but was ok and did not prevent a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good with a ample range of foods, from a cooked breakfast, cereals, bread, toast, drinks, fruit, yoghurt, milk etc. Slight downside was the shower, while the ensuite was nice and clean the shower door had been replaced by a curtain which clung to you, and the showe... I cannot recommend Hotel Tritone enough! My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to our first trip abroad together and our first time in Italy! I did plenty of research to find a hotel that was both beautiful, embodied the "Rome" experience and was still within my budget (limited budget). This hotel was all of that and more! We booked one of the upgraded supreme rooms for only a little bit more in dollars and it was so worth it! Our room was modern in decor with in-room wifi, a flat scree... Read more

We were here for four nights. Our room modern, but classic. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and well lighted and had the luxury of a tub....great after days of being on your feet. What I really appreciated was the reading lights and the bright, well placed lights around the room. There were many choices for breakfast and the open view on the 5th floor was lovely. Roberto and the other desk clerks were so very helpful in calling our desired restaurants for reservations. ... Read more

The location of this hotel is so damn amazing, you would fall in love with it instantly. The rooms are good and clean and they upgraded my room to a view of the road which was good because it provided a view to the outside however the noise from the road was a bit off. The hotel location is good it right around the corner from the triev fountain wich is really nice. It took around one hour from the airport in train then metro then walk. We were three so a taxi on the way back was almost the same price at about 45mins So the rooms are basic but that's ok as you don't want to spend so much time in them. My biggest complaint the curtains they really don't keep out the light so if you at the frount and I like a dark room to sleep in it's impossible to rest. The h... Read more
