Lovely little hotel in a great spot. Quiet enough to get some piece but just a short stroll away from the many and varied restaurants and bars of Trastevere. Staff are great and will help in any way they can. rooms are a little on the small side (probably the same all over Rome?) but are clean although in need of a little TLC in areas. If you're after a good value hotel, in walking distance of decent bars and restaurants and the major sights of Rome, then give this some consideration because you... Read more

Hotel San Frencesco is a discreet and pleasant place to stay in Trastevere. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and cleaned every day and the bathroom was excellent, apart from a leaking pipe under the sink, which we mentioned though nothing was done. It wasn't really a problem anyway. Great shower. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and varied. Staff were polite and efficient and not overly friendly, which is very liberating! Great place.

What I liked most in this hotel is the location. It is located in Trastevere, neighborhood full of life with restaurants, cafes e tourist atractions. Rome is too crowded of tourists. In Trastevere you feel more like local.

A great little hotel to see the sights and live among locals. Easy to get the bus or taxi into the colosseum, pantheon and Spanish steps. Great local restaurants around the area our highlight meal of Rome was found amongst the alley ways. Not for a backpacker budget but comfortable and yummy fresh breakfast daily

Taking into account that this is a 3 star hotel, you could not wish anything better. Good rooms, kind staff, good breakfast. And on top: a beautiful rooftop terrace with nice views. The location is superb. In Trastevere, but yet very quiet. Not only the many restaurants at walking distance, but also many Roman sights can easily be reached by foot. For sunday mornings: a very attractive market starting just around the corner, stretching for many miles. We will absolutely book this hotel when we ... Read more
