I'm from Brazil and I stayed for a couple days at this hotel on february 2013, even though I haven't stayed whole time in it. I really had a very good impression of this hotel just when arrived. The room is o.k, very nice and clean. I really appreciated the bus which leaves several times the hotel with destination to La Piazza San Pietro.

I feel bad leaving a bad review, I did enjoy my stay. I found the wifi costs too be far too expensive, I was disappointed that there was no access to the pool but apart from that everything was fine. However, upon leaving the hotel I realised that I had left some jewellery in a drawer. I got in touch with the hotel and they responded promptly to say it had been found. I provided them my card details so they could charge me the postage fee and I haven't heard from them for a month now despite e... Read more

Far from everything, but there is a shuttle to the vatican city (not the very center of rome). swimming pool is closed in may, but quite nice room and good breakfast. TV broken. free iron not available. globally not the best seminary location I saw!

Practical vs. Airport, but not so close to the city center. Ina bad shape, would need some refurbishment. Food was really average, big disappointment for an italian hotel. rooms were clean, but decoration old. Don't go there except if you have to (like I did for work seminar)

The personal was directly rude, swimming pool was closed, you have to pay extra the shuttle bus to go to the city which is available just a few times at day, for having breakfast (16,50 euros) for internet wi fi that works badly, and a long etc. The whole hotel is old and it's almost disgusting - rugs with stains, not that clean either. Amenities were in place just one day. Afterwards we got just shampoo. It's not possible to drink a tea or coffe outside of the restaurant opening time - from 7 t... Read more

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel last week and it was terrible. The only reason why I gave 1 * is for a comfortable bed. Apart from that, all the comments about no free wifi, bad hotel location and outdated decor are aboslutely true. Yes, there is a hotel shuttle bus ( sometimes with very long gaps in between the journeys) which you also have to pay for!!! Even (rather cold ) coffees set us back ?10! Food inedible and expensive. What a rip off. Hotel pool is closed because it's not the s... Read more

We were travelling in a group tour and were here for a day. The hotel is a 30 mins drive from Rome airport . However the city attractions are far away and it cost us 30 Euros for a cab to the city. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. We went out for a walk but there is nothing in the vicinity, no shops, no people. We were in a ground floor room which was of a reasonable size with a twin bed joined together, a pull out sofa and a study table. We could not open the window shades as peopl... Read more

Stay away from this place... ?12 per day for WiFi, ?6 for a beer, no shops or restaurants around at all and on the hotel restaurant the food is not nice, searched for a place with swimming pool and the pool was empty when de arrived and just opened in Sunday when we were leaving, we received no communication about it, Asked staff to organise the shuttle bus to the airport that told us that couldn't do because they need a day notice, we asked for it at around 19:00 and were looking to go at 1... Hotel was cheap & dated with old smelly carpet, it costs to use the internet, it costs to use the shuttle bus to Rome (which is about a 20-30 min ride because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere nothing is in walking distance), & costs to eat Breakfast (crappy breakfast). The hotel is trying to make a buck off you at every possible corner. The power outlets in the bathrooms don't work making it impossible to plug anything in - we tried 2 bathrooms. I was absolutely not satisfied with this hotel because it doesn't correspond the description on the webpages at all. I have spent there 3 days with my husband and my sister because I decided to celebrate my birthday in Rome. As we were 3 people I had booked a junior suite. First of all the hotel is situated not so close to the station how you can see it in description. My mobile has shown 1,4 km and you have to walk in the mountain. Ok, I like walking and for me it was ok but my husband was ma... Read more

The rooms are perfect. Real 4 star hotel maybe a bit more. Swimmingpool ok staff is unbelievable strickt they do not allow anything. No possibility to drink a nice wine or cocktail at the terras at the pool. They bead the romantic out of you. The only place to drink something at the terras is when you order at the bar near the reception and the serve a drink after 20 minutes at the terras at the entraence. We had a horrible experience during our check in,though we had checked in on our arrival at the hotel at 10:30 in the morning as the rooms were not ready, we were assured that our rooms would be allocated together all was fine, we left our luggage and were told to collect the keys in the afternoon, on our return at 18:00 hrs they had some difficulty locating our rooms, we were put through a 30 minutes wait with elderly parents 80+ having to wait in the lobby after a long tiring day with no hope ... Firstly, the location is enough to deter anyone, as there's nothing within walking distance from the hotel. This means that everything has to be purchased from the hotel, which is totally overpriced. We paid 12 euro per night for wifi per device. You have to pay for tv use as well. Some staff totally lacked customer service skills, especially those at the front desk. The hotel decor is outdated, the finishes were falling off and the carpets were full of stains. If you're planning to visit the ... Read more

Myself and my boyfriend came here for 9 nights in a hope to explore Rome for our first holiday. The hotel overall was nice and staff were helpful, the rooms were fairly clean and facilities were decent. However, we overcame a number of problems that are not actually stated in reviews we had read before arriving. Firstly, the hotel is in a fairly remote location, in order to get to the nearest metro you'll need to get a 25 minute bus journey (comes every 15 minutes), or a 10 euro taxi trip. From... Read more

This is the worst hotel I have ever stay in. The smell of the carpets is soo bad you can't breath. Doesn't have FREE WIFI, you have to pay 3 EUROS for it and the range is so bad that in some rooms the signal is very low. In the restaurant, the staff was always on a bad mood and sometimes even disrespectful. Please look for another hotel.

I recommend this hotel for a day's stop near the airport, not for a longer stay in Rome. 10 minuts from the centre, 15-20 from the airport. A bit run down hotel "past it's former glory" but good value for money. We had a junior suite at a very low price - possibly a "last minute price". (Just avoid the expensive wifi). Nice swimming pool. Also very nice with 2 pool tables.

Reading the reviews on this hotel, I was very anxious about our 10 night stay, but it was all unfounded. Transfer time 20 mins to airport by taxi. We couldn't fault this place. Yes the beer prices are 5e a pint, but that's what we pay at home and the same price as the rest of Rome! The pool was large and clean. Booked a non-refundable room before reading the reviews and was dreading the upcoming stay. Honestly for this price range I have experienced far worse. Contrary to the recent reviews, staff was friendly and courteous, rooms were clean, spacious and true to the photos, food at restaurant was great and service was even better. Hi all, After we read other comments about this hotel, we thought we'd have a problem. Yet, our experience is totally positive. We booked this hotel on our own knowing it won't be in the center of Rome. This is exactly why we picked it. So let's try to sum it up: Rooms: Clean, tidy and with airco. The Hotel Roma Aurelia Antica paints itself to be the ideal hotel for traveling and exploring Rome. There are positives and negatives to this. First, the positives.
