Our first night in Italy was capped by a stay at Rallaello. The staff was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for 2 jet lagged visitors. We slept through our first mornings breakfast but we had juice coffee and pastries. The real breakfast was fantastic and we did not miss the next two. Great location, very walkable neighborhood with restaurant choices and historic sites nearby.

This was our first visit to Italy and Rome was our first stop. Hotel Raffaello was a great choice for us. It was close to the train station and within walking distance of a number of popular attractions. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the 5th floor and had french doors onto a small balcony. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent. I would recommend this hotel.

It was pretty central to all the historic places with a really lovely resteraunt close by which was recommended by one of the staff. I will definitely be staying again

The toilet and bidet faced each other and there was on a three inch gap between the two. Hiking one's leg up 18inches to mount the toilet was not easy for us at 71 years of age. My leg would not fit throught the gap even at the ankle. The rest of the hotel was lovely, staff friendly and accommodating. Ask for a bigger bathroom as they have them. Good location to shops and restaurants.

We stayed there May 18th to May 21st. The staff was so accommodating and made the visit so pleasant. From arranging airport transportation to suggesting things to do and where to eat, Daniele, the concierge , was great. We were upgraded to a room with a large terrace on the 5th floor. The breakfast was good including eggs, ham, cheeses, pastries with a choice of coffee. All in all a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend.

The Raffaello's staff are so friendly and helpful and having the concierge there each morning to help organise trips and advice would be very useful if you weren't familiar with Rome. The location is handy for everything, Termini station is only a 10 minute walk away, passing Santa Maria Maggiore on the way. Via Urbana itself has a huge range of well priced restaurants. Rooms are a good size for central Rome and spotlessly clean. We liked the idea of being able to choose the type of pillow you p... Read more

We were very pleased with this hotel and recommend it highly. It is located within a 10-minute walk of the Termini rail station, in a neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops. It is also within walking distance of the Coliseum and several Roman forums. The hotel is decorated in a way that gives it an "old world" atmosphere, yet is quite comfortable. Charming and quintessential small Roman hotel. Eclectic neighborhood where Julius Caesar was born (according to a local). Much less touristy than other areas. Explore down the hill to the left. The hotel is not fancy, but it is homey and cute. Request the top floor as there are two rooms with very large private garden terraces overlooking the neighborhood. Convenient location - about 5 min walk to the Termini Station, about 5 minutes to Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, and about 20- 25 minute walk to the Coliseum, Roman Forum, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and had eggs, pastries, juices, fruit, yogurt, coffee, cereals. Nice selection. And the... Read more

We stayed here on our last 2 nights in Rome. Our stay here was very enjoyable. The hotel and rooms are very nice. It's hard to believe that this is only a 3 star hotel. The service was outstanding. We really liked the location of this hotel. We found two fantastic place to dine just a short distance away. If ever we return to Rome we will stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here recently and were both impressed with the service we received. Staff are cheerful and helpful with advice and guidance. Our room was both clean and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size and also very clean. Breakfast was very good and the staff here were helpful and cheerful as well. WiFi worked well and is free. Only one very small downside, as with many European hotels there is no ability to make your own hot drink in your room which would be nice after a lo... Read more

Our first time in Rome was made extremely enjoyable staying at the Raffaello. The location to several good Restuarants and the friendly staff made this a wonderful experience. The Hotel provided a substantial breakfast with a good choice of food, the room was very spacious and clean. The Hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to the Colosseum

We visited for a 5 day city break, intent on seeing some of Rome's less well-know sights. We saw the hotel in a brochure but ended up booking directly. The hotel is well placed, close to Via Cavour and lots of restaurants, about 10 minutes walk from Termini (the main station) and less than that from the nearest Metro. The hotel is just far enough from the main street to quite quiet at night. We had a lovely room with balcony, quite large by city standards. Breakfast is typically Italian (that's... Read more

We returned here after 9 years absence and were warmly welcomed as if it had been last week. This hotel is well located - within reach of both Termini rail station and all the central tourist attractions. Via Urbana is also a very nice little street at night - not overly busy but lined with bars and small restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and we had fun inflicting our poor Italian on them - they were very gracious about it. The rooms are clean and comfortable and our suite ... Read more

A great hotel only 10 minutes walk from the station and close to some of the main sights e.g.: the Colosseum. Clean and comfy with friendly and helpful staff. Good sized room and en suite with a nice balcony. Breakfast was good with a variety of food on offer. We would recommend this hotel ū???

We spent two nights in the beautiful Hotel Raffaello at the beginning of September. It was our first stop on our Italy vacation and what a wonderful welcome. We arrived after several flights and they made sure to find us a room right away. The hotel was walking distance to many of the major sites. The room itself was lovely. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was varied and delicious and fueled us for the day. I highly recommend staying here if you're in Rome.

My husband and I enjoyed five lovely days in Rome recently, and selected the Raffaello Hotel on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! The staff are friendly and very helpful (Danielle is an excellent concierge!), the property and rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel is well located within walking distance of most tourist sights. We definitely recommend this hotel, and will stay there again if we have the opportunity.

Just a four km loop from the hotel to the Colosseum to Tivoli fountains, back to the hotel. Lots of restaurants and gelato shops nearby. The hotel is close to the train station, although it was raining on the day we left, so we chose to take a cab. We had the family room, four adults in two bedrooms, with one bath off one of the bedrooms. It helped us keep our costs down and it worked out well for us. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. Enough choices to keep you going well into... Read more

Located near Termini, we just walked to the hotel. Near lots of restaurants and markets. Extremely accommodating staff caters to your every need with a smile. The idea to have espresso and tea available in the common area was great as we could refresh and enjoy conversations with other guests. Breakfast was excellent. Only drawback was tiny shower, but that was all. The price for location was certainly right. It is too bad they no longer have communal rooftop terrace for guests to use. Y... Read more

We stayed here ten years ago and decided to return as it was so good last time. We're glad we did as it was just as good this time round. The hotel is clean and very nicely decorated in a quiet position within easy walking distance of the colosseum and other sights. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is served a small area but perfectly adequate and the breakfast and service are very good. We would certainly stay here again if we come to Rome.

This hotel has everything I wanted and more. Close to the train station, small hotel, very pleasant room, nice breakfast, walking distance to all there is to see in Rome, very good restaurants near the hotel, on a quiet street and I especially appreciated the small salon where we could have a complimentary espresso or tea and where I met many other guests with which I had very nice conversations. When we arrived to our room, I was disappointed. Our room (410) was very small, the decor is not very inviting and the bed was uncomfortable, due to the very thin mattress. The room does not smell "fresh" and there was left over garbage on the floor as well. The area that the hotel is located in, though central, is a little rough. We thought that this was just Rome, but as we started to travel throughout the city, we realized that there were much nicer areas that we could have stayed at for a s... Read more

This hotel was awesome! The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom with the huge tub/shower was simply divine. The breakfast buffet was very delicious with lots of choices from cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, pastries, eggs etc. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The Raffaello is also conveniently located via a short walk to taxis, cathedrals and the Rome train station. There are also numerous vendors and shops in the area too. I could not recommend a nicer place to stay.

Stayed here in October 2016. A really nice hotel located in Monti which is a nice safe area. Plenty of restaurants in the road that this hotel is in plus a gelateria- well used! Room was spotless and the hotel was quiet with a good breakfast- no complaints about any of it and I would give it a thumbs up all around. I had one night in Rome before a Tuscany Getaway Gals trip and stayed at the Rafaello Hotel. My friend was a few blocks away in super high end luxury (The Exedra) and I was at first so jealous! However, the cute boutique manner of the Rafaello, the staff, awesome breakfast and location won me over. My room was tiny compared to what this spoiled American is used to, but very clean with all of the big hotel amenities (wifi, working tv, brand new shower, BIDET, etc.) The concierge Daniele treat... My husband and I spent 4 days at the Raffaello Hotel in mid October. We are fairly active in our late 50's & mid 60's. we found much of Rome to be walkable from this location (Train station, colosseum, restaurants, metro) and the hotel was a lovely respite for down time. Huge, delicious breakfasts with lots of variety, clean rooms. Ours was very quiet. Minibar with reasonable prices and enough space to store our own small snacks. Very charming replica of a hotel from the 1950:s. Only the plastic mugs and the plastic cover on the matress, which the cleaning lady kept putting back every day, was signs of a new bad time. Had a room third floor facing the main street. No problem with traffic noise. Nice with tourist-service in the hotel. Good feeling also in the breakfast-room. For beeing in Italy and 3*, the breakfast was at least medium-class.
