My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Quirinale for 5 nights. Of all the staff we encountered, only 2 seemed to care that we were there. The breakfast attendants acted as if they did not want to be bothered. Breakfast food was marginal, at best. One of the oranges I picked up was rotten. When I gave it to the attendant she took it and made no comment. The desk staff was cold and gave out wrong information. The rooms were clean but needed good updating. The beds and pillows were HARD! We stayed here for 2 nights after a 5* cruise and it was slightly disappointing to say the least. Check in process was ok but with wrong information about city tax. Got into the room after a long day only to find that it was very worn down and shabby. Understandably it is an old hotel but even still the bathrooms aren't old fashioned so could easily be updated rather than have stains everywhere and cracks all over the place. There was hair in the bath and sink so I went to reception to ask for a... Read more

Visited in October 2015 and loved this hotel. Stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor and it was spacious and clean and stately. The bathroom was huge and living area was a nice size. They had an excellent breakfast in the morning with great selections. Its included in your stay so I was sure to catch breakfast.

Hotel is well located however staff are curt if not bordering on rude / unhelpful and lack initiative. Waiting for check in took 30 minutes only to be told that rooms were not ready for another half hour. No apology offered (we were on time to check in at 2pm). We left to find lunch and when we came back to retrieve our luggage from the storage, the bellboys were nowhere to be found. A very nice hotel that has a professional staff except for the Security Staff. The front desk staff was very helpful with making reservations at restaurants. The Security Staff was not very customer friendly. The last of our stay we left our luggage in the hotel baggage room. When we came back to retrieve our luggage the bellman was not available. We were part of a small tour group, staying for the week. Service was great. I was here 10 minutes and had to call housekeeping for wash cloths...they don't have them. The small bidet towels work fine in their place. We didn't realize the card key has to stay in the slot to keep the lights on. Good idea as you always know where it is. My husband booked this hotel as a surprise for my 30th birthday. He couldn't have picked a nicer hotel, we were given a room upgrade to a suite. Room was clean and spacious. We had breakfast included in our package and this was lovely also. We last stayed at the Quirinale in January 2015; we thought it was an excellent hotel and a great value. After our recent visit, we still think this is a very good hotel but not as great as we remembered it from last time. Beware that connecting to the internet may not be easy and even then, it has to be repeated daily as the free wi-fi license is good for 24 hrs only - even if you booked the room for 4 nights. Location - Excellent. Cons - the bathroom really smelled bad!! every day!! I had to cover with towels the drains.. Walls - very thin, meaning that I can hear conversations in the adjacents rooms... We stayed for 4 nights in a couple for a leisure trip. Booked online and all communication was swift and courteous. The price paid for the night (around EUR200 a night) was much higher than what is announced in the usual sites, so probably the time of the year traveled had a great influence. For that price you get a hotel which is closely located to the train station Termini (walking distance) and one block from the subway. Despite the rather close location to the train station, it is very quiet... Read more

This was a great hotel! Wonderful location, great room and quiet. If I get back to Rome, we'll stay there again! Very good breakfast options and a really nice patio for evening music and drinks or you could eat there as well

Stayed at Hotel Quirinale for quick stay in Rome. I got to the hotel by taking the train from the airport to Termini Station and walking about 10 minutes to the hotel. The hotel is actually very close to the Repubblica Metro Station on the Orange Line, which is one stop away from Termini Station. I arrived at the hotel before check-in, so the hotel stored by bags, while I went to explore Rome. Check-in on return was easy, and I was assigned room on the fourth floor. The room faced the inner cour... Read more

We visited in September and took a superior room. It was very large and comfortable with traditional decor, an extraordinarily high ceiling, an excellent king size bed, and a good size bathroom. The hotel is steps to Piazza Republic and a reasonable walk downhill to the Forum. Breakfast is served in the courtyard garden weather permitting. The hotel has just 2 elevators, which are up a short flight of steps, but there is a wheelchair lift. Our room overlooked a busy thoroughfare but was qui... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Quirinale Hotel. I would come again if I ever return to Rome. It is 6 minute walking distance from the Roma Termini (train station) and the metro and bus are just around the corner or in front of the hotel respectively. There's a newstand in the corner to purchase the Roma Pass, metro and bus tickets. As you can tell it is a very convenient location to walk, bus, or metro to the famous sites. The service was excellent. The people at the desk were very polite and h... Read more

This hotel is a very clean and well positioned hotel for getting around to all the sights you want to see in Rome. Rooms are a good size. The only thing I would like to see is more drawers for cloths when you are staying a few days. Breakfast is included and makes it convenient to have something to eat before you head out for the day.

This is my most favorite hotel in Rome I stayed here seven different times except in 2016 and I regret it. This hotel is so charming close to everything most importantly to close to termini and all shops and cafes and to important monuments ,and I have to mention feels like home to me and also breakfast is awesome compare to other hotels that they just serve coffee and pastries this hotel is very generous when it comes to breakfast. So breakfast lovers this is the place u should go. I strongly... Read more

It is an old grand hotel which has been given modern standards. Unfortunately not all guests adapt to the elegant style of this beautiful place. The hotel is situated conveniently in the centre of Rome and close to the underground and bus service.

Very nice hotel in a central location in Rome. Our room was spacious and very clean. We were able to walk to many restaurants, shopping, Trevi Fountain, Forum, train station, and more! The breakfast was fantastic. There were many healthy choices and they all tasted great! The staff was helpful.

Don't get me wrong this is not a bad hotel. The building is lovely and the location good. Room was clean etc etc. But for the price we paid I would have expected a bit more in the way of service. We were studiously ignored by all the staff throughout our stay. On arrival - 2 staff members at the door - no hello or offer to help with luggage. On check in no outline of hotel facilities, asking if they can help etc. On checkout no - did you enjoy your stay, safe flight, see you again etc. In 4 days... Read more

The hotel is such good value for money. The main reason I booked the hotel is because of the 24 hour check In as we arrived in the early hours. This was very helpful as we were delayed and didn't arrive till 3 am. The room was small but clean and nicely decorated with some really nice touches. When we arrived there was a bottle of complimentary red wine and two bottles of water. The staff are really friendly and there's a nice bar and garden area, perfect for relaxing in the evening.

After spending for days at The Hotel Quirinale last year I want to go back again this novmeber for my birthday. The service you great from the minute you walk though the door is out standing and the staff make you feel really relaxed and comfortable I traveled alone and I found that all the staff are very welcoming and courteous even when I went to the toilet and then came back to the wrong side of the resterant and looked a little confused but we smiled and they redirected me to my seat. I booked and paid in advance through Expedia for about 3 weeks of stay at this hotel, which advertised itself as a grand and reasonably upper end one, though not 5-star of course. But within a couple of days I became quite disappointed with the level of service, starting with the same boringly pathetic, unchanging, daily breakfast offerings. (I've stayed at crappy motels in the USA which have offered better breakfasts than the Quirinale!) One would think with a hotel of the size, location, cost ... Read more

The hotel has an excellent location, in the middle of Rome and close to busy streets. Great for getting around, but terrible when trying to sleep at night, since the room was incredibly noisy. When I first got to the room, it was like an oven. The hotel has no air conditioning, and central heating kicks in whenever you leave the room, which means an incredibly hot and uncomfortable room. Opening the window was impossible due to huge noise from the street, and even with the window closed the nois... Read more

I just returned from a trip to Rome and really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Quirinale. It has great location, an easy 10-15 minute walk from Termini station with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. It's also a quick walk to most of the main sites. It's about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, although it takes about an hour to walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. The hotel is older which ads to the charm, although the rooms are very clean and contain all of the... Read more
