Excellent value. I travelled to Rome due to a sudden family bereavement, so this was traumatic time made easier by the friendliness and empathy shown by the staff. So, a refuge ay a difficult time. The hotel was spotless, with a comfortable bed and nice soft pillows. We too enjoyed the complimentary pastries when returning back to the hotel. I would certainly return in happier times when I can relax and enjoy the marvels of Rome.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. Everything about the hotel was good. We had a lovely room with a terrace and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended a local restaurant that we used all three nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. It is very good value for money and is a small very well run hotel.

Nice and safe area, very close to local bus stops that take you to the centre. It was easy to take the shuttle bus from the airport to Termini Station and then get the number 92 bus to the hotel (get off at Sabino) Cost us about 6.50 euros each. Bus stop is about 3/4 minutes walk from the hotel. There are other buses too, but check at the hotel. The room was on the smaller side but didn't matter too much as we were out most of the time. The room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was OK, but they ... Read more

We had an executive room 407, which had a lovely terrace which we really loved. Air conditioning was very good , needed as it topped 30C. Unassuming hotel. I stayed for business for one night. Probably not the best location for sight seeing. Very friendly and helpful staff - two pretty terraces for breakfast/ drinks. Traffic noise quite disturbing if you have a room on the front and I don't think they had air con. Everything a bit faded but still OK. Complimentary tea/ coffee and water available in the reception as well as your room. Bedroom very spacious and comfortable bed

The Panama Garden is a 4 Star Hotel that exceeds its rating. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and up to date. The breakfast offered enough choices to have variety over the five nights we stayed. It is a healthy 35 minute walk through the beautiful Villa Borghese to the Spanish Steps or Piazza Populo. We booked this hotel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and stayed for a week. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and reception gave us some ideas of places to visit other than the traditional. They also recommended places to eat which didn't come with the tourist price tag. We walked from the hotel into the city and back again and it was nice to get back to the hotel with coffee and cake ready in reception. The hotel is comfortable and clean. We would like to thank hotel staff for enjoya... Read more

perfect small hotel, ideal for short tourist stay. Outside city centre but close to bus/tram route into main city areas. We took the bus into the city in the morning (1.50 euro each) and a taxi back in the evening (10 to 12 euro). The hotel is a fair distance from the airport but they provide a transfer taxi service if you book in advance (55 euro). A taxi from the airport rank is 100 euro. The hotel staff are welcoming, friendly and willing to assist with any enquiry, providing maps, instructio... Read more

We have just spent 5 days at the Panama, the staff were very helpful and no matter how many questions my darling other half put to them they all replied with a smile. This goes a long way, the last thing you need is a miserable receptionist or a stroppy waiter. The young man with the american accent that covered the night shift was polite and gave us recommendations where to eat etc. The lady during the day, Rosalba, was very approachable and again helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself in our o... Read more

The accommodation was exactly what we needed. It was small, but modern, clean and had everything we needed. Staff were super polite and very friendly and explained to us everywhere we needed to visit and gave us a very useful map which was like our bible!! The breakfast we had every morning was great, huge variety of continental and cooked breakfast and all buffet style. We thought initially that the hotel seemed a little far out but this wasn't the case at all! We are young and fit so walking e... Read more

I stayed here with with my girlfriend for three nights. When we first arrived we were greyed with a smile and offered the complimentary tea, coffee and pastries (and lovely they were too). After a swift check-in which includes details on the local transport and how to best to travel to and from the hotel, we arrived at our room. The room was decorated nicely and was spacious enough. The bathroom in particular was very nice. Whilst my girlfriend freshened up, I returned to the reception to ask fo... Read more

Do not think twice. Classic, cozy, clean, safe neighborhood , 20 euros per night of parking but usually you will find space for free outside. (use the money for full insurance instead.) You can walk to the bus stop for the bus 83 for 25 minutes to the train station to get about anywhere including the Fiumicino airport BTW. the bus in 10 minutes will pass by the coliseum area. You can also may have a walk of somes bloques to take a ride of the Tram 19 terminal stop and go to the other end in appr... Read more

The last time me and my wife went to Rome, we did not have a good time. Stupid arguments! I was anxious to replace those memories with good, new memories. We booked a package holiday through British Airways and this was the hotel at the top of their recommendations. Hotel Panama Garden is a big part of those good memories. We Brits are pathetic with foreign languages so, thankfully, all the desk staff at HPG spoke perfect English. Probably better than most English people! As soon as I touch... Read more

A small hotel, with small but clean rooms. It is elevated however by the extremely helpful and courteous staff who made our visit so agreeable. Lorenzo was outstanding as was Jay, but everyone ensured our comfort. A very nice touch is the drinks and pastries that are laid out in the foyer in the late afternoon for a quick snack before dinner. the eating places surrounding the hotel were also extremely good with authentic cuisine and helpful staff. we would visit any of them again. Several ni... Read more
