Excellent value. I travelled to Rome due to a sudden family bereavement, so this was traumatic time made easier by the friendliness and empathy shown by the staff. So, a refuge ay a difficult time. The hotel was spotless, with a comfortable bed and nice soft pillows. We too enjoyed the complimentary pastries when returning back to the hotel. I would certainly return in happier times when I can relax and enjoy the marvels of Rome.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. Everything about the hotel was good. We had a lovely room with a terrace and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended a local restaurant that we used all three nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. It is very good value for money and is a small very well run hotel.

Nice and safe area, very close to local bus stops that take you to the centre. It was easy to take the shuttle bus from the airport to Termini Station and then get the number 92 bus to the hotel (get off at Sabino) Cost us about 6.50 euros each. Bus stop is about 3/4 minutes walk from the hotel. There are other buses too, but check at the hotel. The room was on the smaller side but didn't matter too much as we were out most of the time. The room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was OK, but they ... Read more

We arrived a bit early and the room was ready. The hotel is located about 20-30 minutes from the main bus/train and coach station (Termini). We found the room small and kept bumping into the tv. The bathroom was a reasonable size. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.

We stayed here for four nights 29May to 2June. The hotel staff were very friendly and really helpful, could not fault them. We had an executive room 407, which had a lovely terrace which we really loved. Air conditioning was very good , needed as it topped 30C. Forty minutes walk to Rome Centre but go through Villa Borghese gardens for a really peaceful start to your day. Lots of good authentic family run restaurants within easy walk, and a supermarket for that bottle of wine or beers to put in ... Read more

Unassuming hotel. I stayed for business for one night. Probably not the best location for sight seeing. Very friendly and helpful staff - two pretty terraces for breakfast/ drinks. Traffic noise quite disturbing if you have a room on the front and I don't think they had air con. Everything a bit faded but still OK. Complimentary tea/ coffee and water available in the reception as well as your room. Bedroom very spacious and comfortable bed

Grazie Mille!!! A thousand thanks for the wonderful atmosphere at Hotel Panama Garden! My new husband chose this place for our honeymoon. We wanted the warmth of a bed and breakfast but were attracted to the amenities offered by this hotel and the proximity to major attractions we wanted to visit. What a great place! The staff is more than gracious! Not one bad experience in our 5 day stay. Rosalba is our hero! She helped us navigate the city...perfect directions to wherever we wanted to go. A... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights in June, hotel was clean and enough for what we wanted. The pictures on the website make it look a lot newer and sparkly than it is. In saying that it was pleasant stay, the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a good selection for breakfast. There was a bar in the hotel but I'm not sure that it opens as we didn't see anyone behind it during our stay. The surrounding area of the hotel isn't very picturesque. You're quite a way from the centre of ... Read more

The hotel and staff were great. The room looked out onto greenery, and it was spacious enough with comfortable beds. We were able to check in early. The front desk staff were helpful with our frequent questions about travel options to our intended destinations. Breakfast was filling and included eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, meats, cheeses, and breads. The beverages and pastries in the lobby throughout the day were appreciated. We had a couple of minor issues with our room (e.g., lea... Read more

We returned with our two young adult children 22 years after our first visit and had a lovely time. Great breakfast and nice clean rooms. A little outside of central Rome to the north but quick cab rides everywhere. Great service and definitely the most reasonabley priced hotel on our 2 week / 4 country European vacation. Recommend.

I booked this hotel through BA city breaks and this made an excellent base for exploring Rome. The staff were friendly and welcoming and offered lots of helpful advice that enabled us to get around the town via the bus and metro routes which are very close by. The hotel was clean, our party had 3 sharing a room and this was spacious, with air conditioning and we were provided with clean towels and bedding each day. Breakfast was provided and the staff serving attended to all needs. I recommend ... Read more

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Hotel was a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Rooms had all the required facilities including a terrace and essential air conditioning as it was 39 degrees during our stay. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with excellent service and additional refreshments and cakes were available all day. Hotel is located on the outskirts of the city in a residential district with shops and local restaurants which were excellent. Travel into the city was via regular bus ... Read more

This hotel is dated but this can be overlooked as it is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The rooms have air conditioning which is very effective and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The bathrooms are a good size with a decent shower. On the downside, you can hear the guests in the next room, the small fridge doesn't chill things very well and there was no water supplied until day two. The hotel only provides breakfast, no other meals. We ordered room service which arrived on... Read more

We stayed there for 4 nights at our first visit to Rome. The location is good if you can't stay in the centre, there is good access by bus to most attractions. The neighbourhood was safe to walk late night, beautiful streets and apartments. The breakfasts was nice and the bed very comfortable. I think the bathroom could use a renovation but it was clean and big. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We had a room with a terrace, which was great, but if you've stayed in Rome before, you'll know that hotel rooms everywhere, are generally small. I would gladly recommend this hotel, which is a few minutes from the nearest bus route into the city, and we will be revisiting in the future. My only slight criticism would be that, although you can get a drink in the evening, you have to ask as the 'bar' appears closed, The Hote... Read more

We stayed in the hotel on a 5 day BA city break deal. It was fantastic value. We stayed in room 504 which had a small roof terrace. The staff were incredibly accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The air conditioning was great and the breakfast was everything that you need. Cooked and cold meats. Cakes and pastries etc. We could not praise the hotel staff enough. Thank you. Yes it is a bit tired but it is spotlessly clean and great value. The hotel is about half hour away from the centre. If ... Read more

Have just returned from a four day break at this hotel and would recommend it to family and friends. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast was lovely ( cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, fruit, cakes, breads, pastries, cooked breakfast juice and tea and coffee). The Panama Garden is a 4 Star Hotel that exceeds its rating. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and up to date. The breakfast offered enough choices to have variety over the five nights we stayed. It is a healthy 35 minute walk through the beautiful Villa Borghese to the Spanish Steps or Piazza Populo. If you are not into walking so much, the train and bus are nearby. We followed the staff's recommendations for local restaurants and were happy we did.

This was our fifth visit to Hotel Panama in Rome, a city we have lived in for a time, and loved for nearly two decades. Now, when we visit for a week or more we always book Panama. The location alone is perfect for anyone wishing to enjoy some tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of centro storico. Equally, the area is well-served with buses conveniently less than five minutes walk away, and direct into Termini, Monte Savello, and other places of interest. We always book an executive room...
