This hotel is in a perfect location. You have the best restaurants walking distance. I wish we could have stayed longer. Just riding the old elevator up and down was pretty neat. For how old (and open) the elevator is, it's super quiet. The rooms are perfect. Bathrooms are top notch as well. Must stay!

We spent five wonderful nights here in May of 2016. Our corner room was large with fine views in two directions; double glazed windows, interior shutters, and heavy draperies insured remarkable quiet. In general, the entire hotel is trimmed in white lacquer making it brighter and fresher than most old, palatial hotels. And yes, the location is superb. Cannot say enough good things about Giuseppe, the evening concierge! Our luggage was lost and he indeed saw to its return. And vis-à-vis other re... Read more

My husband and I and our young-adult daughter (we are from Omaha, Nebraska) stayed 3 nights at the end of March, 2016. We had a beautiful room with lovely amenities, and it was very clean. Location is central as we walked almost everywhere. All in all a lovely stay.

After looking through photos online of the hotel, we didn??t know quite what to expect. The photos online give the impression that the hotel is slightly worn with an antique feel (and not in a good way). We didn't get the breakfast for 90 euros (for three) but made due with what we could pick up at nearby cafes. We booked this hotel rather late, after Grand Hotel Via Veneto simply dropped out of Jumeirah and failed to inform us albeit a booking from several months ago. This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Rome very close to Vila Borghese and the Spanish Steps in the famous Via Veneto. Sadly in my view location is all it has going for it, decoration is pretty imposing with tons of marble and huge staircases but there is a total disregard for comfort. The meeting rooms don't have plugs for laptops and the A/V equipment must have been high end when Fellini was filming La Dolce Vita. The Majestic is a traditional luxury hotel on the famous Via Veneto. From the moment we parked our car we were treated like royalty. Our room was large and the bathroom even had a big window. Breakfast was plentiful, but what I liked most was the staff. Incredible attention from the doorman to reception and concierge, all the way to the waiters at breakfast. Housekeeping impeccable, with turn down service and towel change every evening. I surely would recommend this true 5 star hotel.

Guys, you are either a hotel, or you are a nightclub. You can't be both. The hotel tends to have noisy parties in the restaurant lasting until late night hours. Slow internet connection. The only elevator was broken for a couple of days when we stayed there. Spartan choices from the in-room dining menu. A great location on Via Veneto saves this place so far, but overall the hotel has a very unbalanced value proposition.

The best part is it is location on a quiet street, Via Veneto so you get out of the crowds and hustle and bustle. There is a beautiful park nearby for a lovely stroll to really "feel" Rome. Hotel is beautifully done and very comfortable! Great hotel.

My wife and I travelled to Italy for our 20th anniversary. Our first 2 nights were in Rome at the Majestic Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was great. A great couple of nights. Then, after checking out, we went to the train station and before getting on our train I went to change some money. It was then that I realized I had left our passports at the hotel. We had 25 minutes so I called the hotel. They ran up to get the passports and drove them over to us at the train station. We had ... Read more

Great location in Via Veneto. Great service, everybody were very kind, helpful and customer oriented. Wonderful deluxe room. You stay so well in it. Full of mirrors and red curtains with withe withe bed and components. Really like it. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Food is amazing. We had dinner in the terrace and breakfast inside, huge luxury restaurant. So I can only say I'll come back for sure, it was a perfect experience.

This hotel was built in 1889, that's right... 1889. It was renovated in the 1990 s with wifi, very powerful air conditioners, etc: all the comforts of home. It is located on the Via Veneto near the Spanish Steps and the Barberini ? Metro Stop. We had a one bedroom suite, room #504, with 2 large marble bathrooms; one for each of us! and windows on 3 sides. Our rooms were non-smoking. We had a setback terrace with a lovely view of the Church of the Cappuccinos across the street. A TV in the be... Read more

We spent three nights at Hotel Majestic to kick off our honeymoon. One the whole, I would say this was a very good hotel, and I'd give it a solid A-/B+. I'll get my criticism out of the way first: the hotel is on Via Veneto, which is a somewhat busy street, and the soundproofing (both for street noise and sounds from inside the hotel) is not great. So if you are a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you... at the very least, I'd recommend requesting a room on the hotel side that do... Read more

My family and I have stayed here twice, and this second review is a long time coming. We visited over the summer of 2012, and the reason why this post is so long coming is due to my reluctance in bringing to light how poor the service was, in spite of the convenient location, wonderful breakfast, and comfort level of the actual rooms. On our fourth night, my mother and I discovered little red welts - bug bites - all over our bodies. We hadn't left our window open throughout the night. Being th... Read more

The hotel is an old hotel that is in a nice area of Rome, near Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain. Our room was large and had a very big bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice especially if you could eat outside. Also, there were several nice restaurants in the area.

The Majestic is a stylish throwback to another era, a little old fashioned but in a good way. The room was large and very comfortable, as was the bed. located close to the US embassy it was popular with Americans but also with a cross section of Europeans, It is also a short walk to all the usual attractions. The staff are very helpful and truly want you to enjoy your stay. Take lunch on the terrace as this is a wonderful setting to enjoy Rome's long summer.

My wife and I were absolutely thrilled with our one night stay at the Majestic Roma Hotel. Everything that we could possibly ask for was taken care of from the moment we walked in through the time we walked out the next day. The staff, from the front desk, to the bellhops, to the breakfast crew, were all exceptionally well trained and anxious to do whatever was necessary to ensure that our stay was positively memorable. The hotel's concierge recommended a local family owned restaurant that wa... Read more

Went as a couple from October 1st-4th. The location is on the very fashionable Via Veneto just a block or two from the Villa Borghese, which is a must-visit. Quieter area than our last visit, where we stayed right in the old city, but still not too far a walk to the Pantheon, etc. The hotel was everything you'd expect from Hotel Majestic, with the only flaw the hard beds and pillows. The Concierge were absolutely top-notch, with especially Giuseppe, but also Faisal and Claudio making sure everyt... Read more

Rome is a pain as is Italy. But Via Veneto reminds us of what Post-war Italy & the 60s were like (MUCH less crowded & often serene). I was shocked to find a room on Venere site for 200 Euros at the Majestic. Of course, they gave me the worst room, with no view at all. But that meant it was quiet. The room was small, but ok. The bathroom was all white and modern marble nearly as big as the room itself. The staff were helpful. The city is safe - I have no sympathy for travellers so brainless as t... Read more

We stayed here in mid September for three nights. Our room was on the (American) third floor facing Via Veneto. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was huge with nice fluffy towels. We did not experience loud street noise. The staff was friendly, especially Bruno, the doorman who hailed at least one taxi cab for us each day, and Cesare the bellhop. The hotel's location is very close to the Barberini metro station if you choose to use the subway while in Rome. The hotel is within wa... Read more

As our driver told us when dropping us off, "the Hotel Majestic is the best hotel on the Via Veneto." This is undoubtedly the case, although despite its designation as a "Leading Hotel of the World", there is nothing special here. Don't get me wrong, the Majestic is a perfectly adequate hotel- our room was clean and bright, the bed was comfortable with excellent linens, and the location is good- and if this is all you are looking for, by all means, stay here. However, if you are in the market f... Read more

This is touted as one of the best hotels in the world - a slight exaggeration, I think. It is brilliantly situated, the rooms are comfortable and airy and the staff is most accommodating. However, they do seem to be resting on their laurels just a little. Our bathroom had a broken shower and a leaking toilet cistern. The former was fixed upon request, but I don't think it should have been up to us to notice at these prices. The turn-down service was erratic - in fact, our room was only turned do... Read more

We stayed here for one night before and after a cruise. The hotel is in a great location for walking to all the main attractions which was essential given our limited time. The rooms were excellent and the breakfast was outstanding. Especially when Presecco is included! The bar was also nice with outdoor terrace seating.

We had a very nice stay (4 nights, 2 rooms) at this charming hotel. It's very convenient to popular sites--Spanish steps (use a map), the Borghese Galleria, Piazza Populo. Also has a Metro stop a block away, on the red line which goes to all the major tourist destinations (4 stops from Vatican Museum). If you arrive by train, best to use the Metro which takes you directly to the Majestic for 1.5 Euro--we did not know this and got stuck with a 25 Euro cab ride! The only complaint was that the... Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights. An old style, grand hotel that exhudes a lot of charm and elegance. Location wise, it's approx 30-45 mins in a a taxi from FCO airport for 50 Euros (we did this for our return journey) or you can get the express train from the airport to the station as we did for approx 14 Euros each (20 mins) and then either get a taxi (it shouldn't cost much but the queues are long) or a 20-25 mins walk. Not advisable if you have a pram due to the width and state of the pavements ... Read more

We stayed at the Majestic for three nights and loved it. The front desk, particularly Claudia, and the concierge desk were very helpful. The interior is lovely, and our room was attractive, with an excellent bathroom and very comfortable bed. The WIFI was excellent - something that is very important to me. We also thought the breakfast buffet was outstanding. We will definitely return on our next trip to Rome.

The Majestic was our stop both on arrival to Rome and upon our departure. We spent two nights in all and experienced two different rooms. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The service is friendly and helpful, and the location cannot be beat. The were helpful in arranging transfers both to and from the airport. The breakfast is NOT to be missed and the patio bar is a wonderful spot for a cocktail.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and all the staff members and the service were perfect. The hotel is well located. The rooms are very comfortable. The only concern was the noise from the street taking into consideration that we were on the first floor. You could hear everything on the street, but in general it was an excellent stay. I truly recommend the hotel!

We stayed at Hotel Majestic for 3 nights during the month of November. The location was excellent but everything else was not. We would wake up early in the morning at the loud sound of staff shouting in the hallway, the minibar was never refilled and we found opened bottles of drinks inside it that were never replaced. Whenever we called the room service for water bottles no one answers. On the first day of our stay we used a small plate for fruits and no one even replaced it with a clean plat... Read more
