We have recently came back from Rome. The hotel I would describe as not too bad, but we will not come back there again. Following our request we have been given room on one of the top floors, but the shower was not working: the water was either extremely hot or simply freezing! There were bugs in the bathroom as well. When we arrived TV was not working,so had to ask to fix it. Breakfast was very simple, every day same-yogurts, scrambled eggs, toast, jams, ham, coffee from the coffee machine-not ... Read more

A really nice Hotel, with staff who are keen to be of help to you. Luckily their command of English outshone my very limited Italian! So communication was never a problem. Plenty of variety for breakfast, and enough to help one through to lunchtime and beyond. Room linen was changed daily and the beds comfortable. This being my first visit to Rome, I was a bit uncertain as to how to visit some or all the tourist attractions in the City. There was no need to worry. All Hop On Hop Off buses use v... Read more

Room was quite a bit bigger than our room in Florence (different hotel) . The room is clean and comfortable. I agree with another reviewer that there are no accessible power points near the bed. The staff are outstanding with very professional attitudes towards their guests. Location is good with about a 10 minute walk to tourist attractions. I would recomend this hotel.

By far the best service we have experienced on our journey so far. A lovely quaint hotel in a good location for those who have a vehicle. Only 18 euro per day to park at the public car park just down the road and you can get to the hotel without passing into any ZTL zones (albeit a little tricky but most GPS maps avoids the ZTLs). The staff at the hotel bent over backwards for us to accommodate our 3 boys with plenty of advice and always checking to make sure our stay was pleasant. And it certai... Read more

This was our first hotel on arriving in Italy at the start of our multi centre holiday. It is in a great location, close to the Spanish Steps and Metro stops, although we walked everywhere rather than using public transport. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and have a very good understanding of English. Our room, although small and overlooking the busy main street was clean and comfortable. This was the only hotel we stayed in that offered tea and coffee making facilities in the r... Read more

We were in this hotel with the family (2 adults, one 2 year old child). Hotel staff is really friendly, they make an effort to make hotel guests feel welcome. We like the hotel location, short walk via quiet streets to the more crowded places just a few minutes walk to the fairly large park with a playground for the children. 5+ minutes walk to the subway. We even walked all the way from the Colosseum, via Pantheon and Trevi Fountain to the hotel through the narrow streets of the older parts of ... Read more

Great location, just far enough from the masses of tourist destinations but close enough to walk. With regards to the hotel itself, I cannot understand how it is rated 4 stars. The hotel desperately needs to be renovated. Everything from the carpet to the bedding to the breakfast room was old. Shower easily flooded, although rest of bathroom was nice. Only 2 outlets in the entire room.

The hotel is located steps from the famous Via Veneto, 10 minutes walk to the Piazza Barberini metro station, 15 minutes from Piazza di Spagna and the best shopping in Rome and is the same distance from the Trevi fountain. The staff from the reception clerks to the waiters and cleaning personnel do their utmost to assist their guests. They are multilingual, courteous and knowledgeable. The rooms and some common areas need to be upgraded and renovated. I have been told that this was already plann... Read more

Upon arrival the man at the desk was very rude to us. It was obvious we did not speak Italian, but he continued to raise his voice and repeat something at us. After a couple minutes, he began speaking to us in English and finally checked us in. The night staff was much kinder. They made a dinner recommendation and made a reservation for us. The bathroom was nice. The rooms were a little dated but adequate. Breakfast was sufficient.

The hotel may need some updating but my room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. However, the best part of my stay was Genevieve, who worked behind the front desk. She is extremely competent and goes out of her way to help guests, whether it's to find a great place to eat or provide directions and even advice...and she was always spot on!

I visited the hotel in July when it was really hot in Rome, first of all AC worked perfectly fine with no noise. Location of the hotel is great, you can walk almost to everywhere in Rome and also it has some nice restaurants around. Breakfast was very good and fresh, maybe same stuff everyday but taste was good and with high quality. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Rooms were comfortable, a bit small but acceptable, I only had a problem with power plugs in the room, they were very few. Al... Read more

Near almost every important sight of Rome. Very good bedrooms and a rather good breakfast. Actually it's a rather old hotel, but if you don't mind staying in a rather old place, I really recommend this hotel. If you want to stay near the center of Rome and Via Veneto ( a large street where you can find amazing restaurants ), this is your place.

The room was ok a tiny bit small but functional. Bathroom a bit small, hard to dress and dry off in there. The customer service and breakfast was great, there was a nice variety! Very close to the Barberini Metro stop and Bus stops. We stayed here for four days and didn't have any issues.

The hotel is generally ok for the price it is charging. Location is safe and 10 minutes walk from the Barberini Metro (subway) Station - but with a stair of some 20-steps. It is not situated in a major road and the side streets can be quite dark at night, the neighbourhood is quite safe. Accommodation, room decor, breakfast and staff courtesy are up to par to a four-star hotel. However, the wifi connection is so bad, with no signals most of the nights we stayed. If the wifi is improved, I wil... Read more

Great place to stay in Rome. Convenient location which made it easy to get to lots of things! Staff way very friendly and extremely helpful. Clean rooms and good breakfast every morning. During our trip we celebrated a special anniversary for our family and the staff graciously provided us with appetizers and treats during our champagne toast. A great place to stay when visiting Rome.

The hotel has much of the charm that you expect from Italian hotels, front of house staff are as helpful and polite as any you will meet anywhere , but the general appearance is beginning to look tired. The rooms are comfortable but again starting to look in need of refreshing , aircon was great as it was very hot. Biggest disappointment the bedroom walls are paper thin and due to some very inconsiderate other guests one of our party had very little sleep for 3 nights due to banging doors , loud... Read more

this is overall a nice hotel well connected to the metro and walking distance to some of the major sights we booked a superior room and glad we did don't think standard would have suited us, avoid the room on the ground floor by the public toilets/lift/bar (surrounded by all this) no views from our windows just 3 other rather dingy walls but was quiet for a hotel room. This hotel was not a 4 star hotel. House keeping and hygiene were disgraceful. We refused to stay here and moved on to another hotel. As we did not stay because of the issues above I can not comment on how the hotel is run. For us this was not an acceptable Hotel. The location was in fact very good.

I highly recommend this hotel and will go back for sure. Staff were very helpful and always in a good mood. Rooms were clean and no noise. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices and the best was the location. Extremely practical. Right the middle of everything. On the Sunday we checked out but were allowed to leave our luggage in the back lobby and we just came back before our 10:00pm flight so that was great service!

My partner and I, located and booked this hotel about a week prior to arriving in Rome at peak season .. Rome was still bustling with heaps of tourists and warm (some might say too hot for them ).. There are a few bumps and scratches throughout the hotel (lifts) and our room could have had some... Read more

From the moment we arrived we knew we were in the right place. The front desk was manned (womanned?) by Ginevra who was outstanding. She is smart, beautiful, welcoming. When Marco was there it was the same. The hotel is on a quiet street, but just near the 24-hr hop-on, hop-off buses. What a perk. The neighborhood is near to everything and the hotel is clean and well-maintained. There are two breakfast rooms, so there is room for all. I think I want to live there.

this is a 3 start hotel, I really do not know how it ended up on a 4 star luxury list. The hotel is located few minutes away from the top of the Spanish steps. Prepare to do a lot of walking because it is on the top of the hill and all attractions and most of the restaurants are on the bottom. The hotel is located 1 block away from the hop-on-and-off buss, which we do not recommend taking. If you decide to take one, the hotel sales tickets for the pink bus, do not buy it, buy the red... My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in September this year . I had stayed here 12 years ago and really enjoyed it which was why I went back . What a mistake ! Nothing has been done to the hotel in 12 years . It is in desperate need of a makeover and the housekeeping / cleaning certainly needs to be improved . The one positive is its location which is in a lovely area and very close to the Via Veneto.

Superbly located just off Via Veneto, in a beautiful tree lined street, surrounded by upmarket eateries and bars (including the famous Harry's Bar) and walking distance to many attractions and shopping.
