Excellent hotel with extremely professional, helpful and welcoming staff. Our room was very comfortable and quite spacious - clean and quiet. A good selection of food at breakfast served in the amazing Art Deco dining room. We had dinner in the hotel on one evening of our stay. We ate in the bar as there was only one other couple dining. The food was superb and beautifully served and presented. Comprehensive wine list. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

The hotel is charming, full of character and 1920's, Art Deco style furniture. It is very stylish and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. We had a junior suite, which had a 6 foot bed, great air con a solid marble bathroom a changing room / walk in wardrobe and room for a red velvet sofa. Wifi is included and breakfast was superb. It is very quiet (woke to the sound of birds), the only slight draw back is that it is a bit of a trek to the centre of Rome. We walked every day, but often go... Read more

I loved everything about it. It was quiet, the room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the staff helpful. The breakfast had everything I could wish for. The restaurant was closed on Sunday when I arrived so they quickly arranged to have me taked to a local trattoria where the food was excellent. A must for future Rome visits.

Close to the Villa Borghese, this small boutique hotel is the perfect place if you want a quiet place to relax. The house is kept in excellent condition, has a large collection of Art Deco furniture and art. The owner also displayed his nice collection of female portraits. Beds are huge and with all comfort. The breakfast comes with a nice selection, but you are not in vegan heaven and the service is sometimes rude. We missed a terrace, but the concierge is miracle in short term booking of tours... We stayed here on the last night of our Italian vacation. The hotel features Art Deco decor. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were large and beautifully appointed in marble. It's a long walk to Rome's main attractions, but there are a few good restaurants in the vicinity and the national museum of modern art is close by. Plus it's a quiet neighborhood and offers a good nights sleep!

Stylish Art Deco hotel located in beautiful and quiet neighborhood with wonderful restaurant. As all Small Luxury Hotels, you will definitely remember staying here. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel very welcome. Hotel is not really in city center, but dont even think about taxi or tram, take a journey down the hill, city center is about 15-20 min walking distance and surrounding area is beautiful.

The friendly welcome set the pace for my two day stay. I was upgraded to a mini suite which was magnificent and furnished stylishly. The location is a small walk to the centre of town and well worth it as it is located in a peaceful part of the city. Breakfast transported me into a bygone era. The beauty of the dining room reflected the quality of the food. It is not the cheapest place to stay but worth it for the experience. Hotel Lord Byron is what Rome is all about, romance.

Art Deco hotel located just north of the city centre with a very good restaurant. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We walked into the city centre: takes about 15-20 min through the beautiful Borghese Park, though you may wish to get a taxi home after a long day's walking through Rome. Interior is grand, though a little faded, and needs a little work to bring bedrooms fully up to scratch. On the plus sides, the bed was large and extremely comfortable, breakfast was lovely and we were mad... Read more

Overall, the Lord Byron was a nice hotel. You can tell that, when it was built, it was a very elegant Art Deco style. The rooms now (we had 2) are a bit worn and need some updating. The location, while in a very high-end residential neighborhood (across the street from the Belgian embassy), is not in the best location if you want to spend a lot of time seeing the sites. There are really no restaurants or stores within walking distance. I got the impression that the clientele which would be happi... Read more

Lovely stylish hotel in the diplomatic quarter just north of Villa Borghese. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough, they really enhanced our stay, why can't all hotel staff be like this!? 20-30 minute walk to get to the Spanish steps, if you are going out for the evening you really need to get a taxi and they come very fast from the taxi stop down the road and cost around 10-12 euros to most of the central sights. Hotel is very nice in a classic art deco style. The room we were in (30... Read more

This is a very comfortable hotel whose only disadvantage is that it is a bit far out. Once you master the Rome transport system then to get to the centre involves a bus, a tram followed by the metro. The staff are helpful and friendly; the breakfast is varied and delicious.

A friend recommended that we stayed at the Hotel Lord Byron and we were very grateful she did. We booked about three months in advance and got a good rate which helped but the overall service level, food and room has meant we have already passed on the recommendation to others and plan to return the next time we are in Rome.

Think Great Gatsby, that is a flavour of this small chic hotel. Tucked away in a quiet corner (how did they do that?) of Rome within touching distance of the Belgian Embassy, and a pleasant walk to Borghese park. The exterior of the hotel gives an indication of the decorative theme within. Met by concierge, staff leave you in no doubt there 'm.o' is to provide high end service, and as this was rather new to us we did feel a bit self conscious, but we soldiered on! Beautiful standard Art Deco ro... Read more

A treat of a small hotel, located in the lovely Parioli residential area, it's luxury that exudes love. Love of beautiful oil portraits, Art Deco and authentic hospitality is the central theme. The attention to detail is exquisite. It's like a private home with so many beautiful things to admire. And, the service reflect this, too. It's very personal, without intrusiveness. Out from the central district, we enjoyed our leisurely walks across the Villa Borghese park to incredible vistas at the to... Read more

We arrived at the hotel following a small ship cruise, and the reception staff were outstanding! All 3 ladies we met were most welcome and helpful. We asked for a recomendation for a local restaurant providing Italian food, and were recomended a trattoria about half a mile away, who provided a car to take us and bring us back. The hotel is not in a touristy area, but a tram line nearby took us cheaply to an area close to the Vatican. The Borgese park is also very close. Restaurant breakfast ... Read more

Just had 3 lovely days at this Art Deco hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff were friendly and very helpful in all departments. It's a bit out of the centre but is lovely and quiet and one of the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. Breakfast is more than acceptable and again with impeccable service.

Smooth service and a very quiet location. A bit of a trek from main attractions, but next to Borghese Park. Very beautiful. Interiors nice, good service. Luxurious beds, marble bath (with bidet!) and great help. The staff gave us good recommendations for restaurants and transportation. Really great stay.

With only 22 rooms, staying here will definitely makes you feel like a LORD. Rooms decor are very elegant and Victorian at the same time. Is like old money meet new money. They staff are just way to nice. Every room comes with breakfast included so that a plus. . If you want to be away from the hustling and bustling areas of room this is a perfect hotel for you. Trust me you will like it.

Stayed in July 2016 for two nights prior to taking a cruise. Beautiful hotel a real gem. Staff very friendly and attentive. Dined in the the restaurant one evening and were looked after by the maitre de who made the night for us. The food was excellent I have rarely eaten in nicer surroundings. Will definitely return next time we are in Rome. Situation not an issue as only around 6 Euros in a taxi to the city centre.

We arrived here to start our honeymoon only to be given the news that the company we booked with had gone bankrupt and had informed the hotel to cancel the booking. The company did not inform us and did not pass our details to the hotel so they could inform us either. However Linda on the front desk was fantastic and went above and beyond what was expected, she explained everything and what our options were. She managed to get us an upgrade on the room and also phoned the other hotels in Italy w... Read more
