I stayed one night when my apartment was not ready. It was a very good experience: the room was large and comfortable, breakfast was very good, service was excellent and the location was extremely convenient for me. The night manager (Patrick) noticed that I accidentally made a duplicate reservation and allowed me to cancel one at no cost at the last minute which was very kind of him. I would certainly stay there again.

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago with 4 other family members. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are very nice, the breakfast is amazing (everything, from savoury to sweet, and all the pastry was homemade) and staff are really helpful. The price is really good for the location. There are multiple restaurants nearby, which are all very good (especially this little ice cream shop close to the hotel, it's amazing). Recommend it to everyone looking for a great, but affordable, hotel in... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights before starting our tour of Italy. We ended the tour with 1 night at the hotel. The 2nd stay hotel room was better than the 1st stay. The rooms were big and the bathroom was a fair size. However, the air conditoner in our room the 1st stay did not work properly. The buffet breakfast is ok. Selections not the greatest for North American travelers. Hotel was in a good location. Walking distance to Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain,

The hotel is around 15 - 20 minutes walk from the major attractions and bustling tourist centre. Breakfast was good but fairly standard: there was no hot food. Don't be put off by the lobby which is pretty ugly, with the open-plan office (and unfriendly office workers) right next to the reception desk. The rest of the hotel is very well maintained but the decor is pretty out-dated: you can see it was last done in about 1993. Beware the pretty thin walls- you can clearly hear the neighbours speak... We stayed for two nights in this lovely hotel on our return journey from a 9 day cruise. Located in the up market residential area of Piazza Sallustio and within 10/20mins walking distance of all main attractions. Amazing restaurants at very affordable prices within minutes of hotel. Our bedroom was spacious & elegant with a super sized comfortable bed. A beautiful continental breakfast spread was served in morning with option for hot food available on request for an additional supplement. Howe... Read more

We had a very bad experience checking in. The man running the desk was rude and obnoxious not only to us but others I saw checkin. He went out of his way to be unhelpful. Other front desk workers seemed intimidated by him and were and equally unhelpful. When I went down to the desk after check in to get the wireless password he acted like I was stupid and said "it is right in front of you". It was written on a paper on the shelf at the front desk.. The hotel has good location. It is older and has some charm. It probably needs to upgrade the rooms to get higher points. Wifi did not work very well but it was included. Old keys, older closets (not antiques but old painted ones) The beds were very tired but other than that it had clean bedlinen. The shower was ok but dated. But we had a nice stay, staff ok.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We're going back again, we were so pleased with it. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is immaculately clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious with pastries, meats and other delicious treats. It's away from the most tourist parts of the city but walking distance (several long blocks) from transportation. The Spanish Steps aren't too far and it's a nice walk to the Via Venetu.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days at the beginning of our 5 week trip and decided to return there for the last 3 days before flying out of Fiumicino. Glad we decided to come back. The location is great if you need a quiet place away from Rome's traffic noise. The return visit was booked through the hotel website for a slightly better rate than the first, through booking.com, and the room, this time on the second floor rather than the fifth, was a bit larger and seemed to have been more recentl... This hotel offers classy accommodations and a very nice location for walking to a great number of Rome's attractions. The Via Veneto, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and an endless array of culinary options in the neighborhood are within a fifteen minute stroll. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. Lovely breakfast selection and great gin and tonic after a hot day in Rome.

Don't be fooled by the dated lobby and elevators - the rooms are excellent - clean, nice size and well appointed. The staff and service are excellent. We would only recommend to update the breakfast buffet a bit - some more salads and different cheeses and whole wheat bread, not just rolls and croissants. Also - a fitness room would be a great addition to the hotel.

The staff and the Londra were all extremely friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms (a double and triple) and found them both to be very spacious and comfortable. This is not a basic hotel - the rooms are consistent with what you would expect at a Westin or Marriott in the US. The bathrooms were very nice with marble floors and countertops. Most important (for summer travel) the AC worked great. The room rate comes with a good (not great) breakfast but certainly adequate to avoid the cost ... Read more

The hotel is centrally located, so we were close to many sites, namely the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at this luxurious hotel. Great hotel, staff very helpful. Could come and please as you wanted as always someone on the desk. Breakfast was of good variation. Although not situated quite in the central city, it was quite nice to be in a slightly quieter area. Very easy access to city as we walked it in 30 mins. Although still some good restaurants near by the hotel.

This is a 2+ hotel, at best. The front desk staff were not very helpful or friendly. The breakfast kitchen staff were even worse than the front desk and were absolutely miserable when serving breakfast. Most of the staff spoke little to no English. The suite was ok but definitely not worth the price. I would NOT recommend this place - it has no redeeming qualities.

Stayed here as part of a coach trip across Italy. Room was very good, breakfast was a buffet type with plenty of choice but nothing cooked. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We used this as a base for exploring the city and found it to be in a convenient location for walking to a lot of the more central attractions, anything over the river would be a little far in the heat.

We were a party of four staying for 5 nights. Our first impression of the hotel was a little disappointing given the attitude of the receptionist (Michaele I believe). He is a rather dour and almost unfriendly person who lacks a warm and friendly manner. Other receptionists we dealt with were much better but rarely available during the day. We stayed at the Londra and Cargill for 5 nights on a family trip to Rome. The hotel is family run and although comfortable, we didn't feel it deserved the 'deluxe' rating. For a 4* Deluxe, we were surprised there were no facilities in the room to make beverages. We had to shower and dress and go to the restaurant for breakfast before our first cup of tea or coffee.
