Overall my staff was fine - room was clean, well-equipped and spacious. The location's also great. Only downsides were 1) they wouldn't lend me an iron for "safety reasons" and have no ironing room you can use and 2) breakfast very poor - little choice.

A few minutes walk away from the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and at the end of the via Venito was Bernini's fountain. The staff at the Hotel were very helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were more than adequate both cooked and continental were available. We would definately recomend this hotel to novice travellers to Rome as everything is within walking distance.

Excellent location for eating out, plenty of choice ranging in price from simple pizza to silver service dining. Hotel located in a quiet, leafy street away from the hustles and bustle of a busy capital city. Metro at bottom of street very accessible and easy to use so easy to facilitate all the sight seeing we wanted to do.

I had stayed at this location in June 2014 and had a wonderful experience. As a business traveler, a great staff, comfotable rooms and close proximity to a metro are very valuable. This hotel has all. So much so I returned with my mom and recommended the property to a co-worker. Upon check in I was told that the air conditioning was controlled by the front desk. As this week has had cool nights, opening a window hadn't been a problem. Well, on our last night, a Friday, temperatures reach... Read more

I recently visited Rome for 4 nights with my mum. We had both wanted to go for ages but due to ill health this was the first opportunity we had. The hotel was listed as 4 star...it's not! The reception and lift area is 4 star....the bedrooms are 3 star and the food is 2 star! The staff are pleasant and helpful. On arrival we discovered our 'twin' room had been set up as a double room and this wasn't a one off! Several other guests on our floor alone also had double rooms instead of twin! I immed... The hotel is well located on the Via Veneto, well within walking distance of many of the things you want to see - Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, and even the Vatican at a stretch. The room was a good size, and very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The only slight downside was that there was no bath, just a shower. Breakfast was a feast of different things - cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese confectionery etc plus a hot option. The hotel has a spa, with all the usual facilities, but... Read more

The Imperiale Hotel is a clean, comfortable and central hotel. There was a wide selection of freshly prepared food available at breakfast times. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby and reception were fairly basic, but adequate. Our only slight criticism was that the window for taking breakfast was very short.

Great location to experience Rome walking through. Beautiful street with lots of great choices for eating and drinking, near the Spanish Steps and Fountain of Trevi. Quiet street but nosy room. We could have counted the times which our neighbors are using their safe box. Poooor AC, so with the windows leaved open, there were a lot of noise started from 4:00 am. No iron and no ironing service, which was terrible. Poor breakfast.

We were booked into this hotel by our tour manager for our early three days in Rome. It is in a good location within walking distance of many churches and attractions. The welcome was great but it fell apart after that. We were unable to get change at the desk. No one manned the bar not could we get anyone to give us clean glasses. Our room was very small with no view to speak of. Be sure to try for a room on the Via Veneto.

With so many options for hotels in Rome we narrowed our choices to a few and happy with our choice. Hotel located on a tree lined street close to the major sights but not too close. 10 minute easy walk to Trevi, Spanish Steps and a little further to shopping on Via Corso. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was larger than expected for European rooms, very clean. Hotel Imperiale was OK - but not what I would normally call a 4 Star. No AC in the bedrooms and it was very hot at night, and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from that everything worked and the staff were very helpful but the bedrooms needed a definite "face lift" as they are looking rather dated.

A 3 day stay where the staff made it feel like home.Sad to go home. Classic old style , yes there are stairs but if you take the time to look, you will find the lift.Nothing was too much trouble for the Kitchen and Restaurant staff, highly recommend anyone to try their food,Sandwiches also available in the bar at a reasonable price. Perfect location for all the major historic sites-the taxi stand, bus services and metro right on the door step.

I was there for a business trip so I didn't see much of the hotel, due to early starts and long days. However my room was located next to the elevator, and I could hear people using it early in the morning. Walls are thin and I could also hear my neighbour use their hairdryer. However, the worst came not during, but after the trip. I forgot an item of clothing in the closet, on a hanger. Once I arrived back home and realised, I called and emailed the hotel. Would not recommend this place. Certainly not a 4-star, the pictures online are misleading. 3-star at best. You can get more for your money. Aside from the good location, hotel room was outdated and very small. Also, the "free wifi" they tell you doesn't even work properly, this is just to lure you in so you request the premium wifi for 6 euros every 24 hours. Awful!

Hotel was very nice, staff pleasant, and well located. We paid for a triple room(wanted two beds as no king was available). Paid 50%more and asked at check in if we were assigned the correct room. After three nights we became aware that the very small room we were given was NOT the one we paid for. Asked for a refund (booked thru Hotels.com) and was told we had to request by e mail to the hotel/company. They ignored several requests and would not respond to Hotels.com request. We feel cheated.

If you are looking for a clean, relatively low cost hotel in a great location in Roma, this is the place. Very clean rooms, great breakfast buffet included. The hotel is located just down the street from the US Embassy .

Warm and friendly is what I would call the management at the Hotel Imperiale. They went out of their way to be helpful to us during our recent stay. The Hotel was VERY centrally located - easy access to most anything that you wanted to see. Nice walking area!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff. One on its major points is it near location to several key tourist sites and restaurants. Its bar is a great place to unwind after a long day. And breakfast is terrific!

Overall this is way above average. Rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff was more than friendly. The location is very central, in the heart of Via Veneto within a walking distance from Fontana Di Trevi and all the attractions. Definitely recommended!

Hotel is in a great location - within walking distance of such popular sites as the Borghese Garden and Gallery, Spanish Steps, Fountain of Trevi, and the Pantheon. The lovely old building has been renovated and decorated with care. Our room was very clean, a reasonable size, with a balcony and well appointed bathroom. The buffet breakfast offered a wide array of mediocre quality. The coffee - even that prepared by staff in the kitchen and not poured from the urn in the dining room - was weak... Read more

Great hotel if you are using the very good Italian railways to get around Italy. Just two Metro stops away from Roma Termini railway station. Get off at Berberini and it is less than 10 minutes walk to the Hotel. Staff are welcoming and helpful. You get 10% off at the Ristorante Il Gazebo restaurant in a smart glass pavement "green house" outside. Good Italian food. Room was smart and clean. We walked to all of the main attractions which are pretty close by. All in all great value for money and ... Read more

The only issue we had was that our room was not ready when we arrived at 9:00 AM. We landed at 6:00 AM on a flight from Atlanta, it was raining warm and very humid. After clearing customs and immigration we caught a shuttle to the hotel. We arrived early and our room was not ready, however, checkout time was not until 1200 noon. We were tired, hot and uncomfortable. It would have been nice if the room was ready. Not a fault of the hotel staff or the previous guests. When we finally got to ... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for a Collette tour and thought the hotel was in a very good location and it's staff was very professional and helpful. Rooms were typical for Europe...every room seemed to have it's own individual size and layout. This hotel, located on the Via Veneto, was fairly close to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps (10 - 15 minutes, depending on your steps). We were very comfortable at this hotel and would definitely plan to stay again.

A nice hotel, functional and clean. A bit of discrepancies around room prices (we were part of a larger group). Rooms were all clean. Breakfast was fine, but again basic. Biggest disappointment was that the spa wasn't free. It was £30 euros, which seems unfair to paying guests. However my massage and facial were fantastic. Great staff throughout the hotel, and a fabulous location.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly. The porter appeared out of no-where and took our bags up to our room (be prepared to tip him). Room smaller than I would have liked and it was facing the back rather than onto the Via Veneto as I requested. It was adequate though. Our room didn't have a king size bed which was unfortunate for my 6"+ husband! No tea/coffee facilities, but a minibar stocked up with snacks and drinks (not free of course). Bathroom was decorated in marble and very clean. Lots of to... Read more

We booked the Hotel Imperiale because it seemed to be in a good location and is close to a Metro station. When we arrived at the Barberini Metro station we realised it was literally steps away from the hotel, great when you're lugging your cases behind you. Check in was courteous, friendly and we were given a map with sights within walking distance marked on it (the Trevi fountain is very close to the hotel). Our room, on the second floor, was well presented and spacious if a little dated but th... Read more

Our group had a very nice stay in the heart of Rome at this classic Italian hotel. The location is a few steps up the Via Vittorio Veneto from the Piazza Barberini and its handy metro. The front desk staff and porter were welcoming, attentive and quick to look after requests. The lobby area has marble floors and classic decor throughout with a conference room, bar, and spa on the main floor. Guest rooms vary in size and configuration. Mine looked like the one on tripadvisor with a very comfortab... Read more
