Overall my staff was fine - room was clean, well-equipped and spacious. The location's also great. Only downsides were 1) they wouldn't lend me an iron for "safety reasons" and have no ironing room you can use and 2) breakfast very poor - little choice.

A few minutes walk away from the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and at the end of the via Venito was Bernini's fountain. The staff at the Hotel were very helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were more than adequate both cooked and continental were available. We would definately recomend this hotel to novice travellers to Rome as everything is within walking distance.

Excellent location for eating out, plenty of choice ranging in price from simple pizza to silver service dining. Hotel located in a quiet, leafy street away from the hustles and bustle of a busy capital city. Metro at bottom of street very accessible and easy to use so easy to facilitate all the sight seeing we wanted to do.

I had stayed at this location in June 2014 and had a wonderful experience. As a business traveler, a great staff, comfotable rooms and close proximity to a metro are very valuable. This hotel has all. So much so I returned with my mom and recommended the property to a co-worker. Upon check in I was told that the air conditioning was controlled by the front desk. As this week has had cool nights, opening a window hadn't been a problem. Well, on our last night, a Friday, temperatures reach... Read more

I recently visited Rome for 4 nights with my mum. We had both wanted to go for ages but due to ill health this was the first opportunity we had. The hotel was listed as 4 star...it's not! The reception and lift area is 4 star....the bedrooms are 3 star and the food is 2 star! The staff are pleasant and helpful. On arrival we discovered our 'twin' room had been set up as a double room and this wasn't a one off! Several other guests on our floor alone also had double rooms instead of twin! I immed... The hotel is well located on the Via Veneto, well within walking distance of many of the things you want to see - Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, and even the Vatican at a stretch. The room was a good size, and very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The only slight downside was that there was no bath, just a shower. Breakfast was a feast of different things - cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese confectionery etc plus a hot option. The hotel has a spa, with all the usual facilities, but... Read more

The Imperiale Hotel is a clean, comfortable and central hotel. There was a wide selection of freshly prepared food available at breakfast times. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby and reception were fairly basic, but adequate. Our only slight criticism was that the window for taking breakfast was very short.

Great location to experience Rome walking through. Beautiful street with lots of great choices for eating and drinking, near the Spanish Steps and Fountain of Trevi. Quiet street but nosy room. We could have counted the times which our neighbors are using their safe box. Poooor AC, so with the windows leaved open, there were a lot of noise started from 4:00 am. No iron and no ironing service, which was terrible. Poor breakfast.

We were booked into this hotel by our tour manager for our early three days in Rome. It is in a good location within walking distance of many churches and attractions. The welcome was great but it fell apart after that. We were unable to get change at the desk. No one manned the bar not could we get anyone to give us clean glasses. Our room was very small with no view to speak of. Be sure to try for a room on the Via Veneto.

With so many options for hotels in Rome we narrowed our choices to a few and happy with our choice. Hotel located on a tree lined street close to the major sights but not too close. 10 minute easy walk to Trevi, Spanish Steps and a little further to shopping on Via Corso. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was larger than expected for European rooms, very clean. The breakfast at 9 Euros is an excellent value with lots of choices given the cost of a coffee and croissant on the stree... Read more

Great location with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast with selections of meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals and fruit. The room is clean, small but comfortable and quiet. Room is reasonably priced for the location. Air conditioned and free wifi.

Hotel Imperiale was OK - but not what I would normally call a 4 Star. No AC in the bedrooms and it was very hot at night, and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from that everything worked and the staff were very helpful but the bedrooms needed a definite "face lift" as they are looking rather dated.

A 3 day stay where the staff made it feel like home.Sad to go home. Classic old style , yes there are stairs but if you take the time to look, you will find the lift.Nothing was too much trouble for the Kitchen and Restaurant staff, highly recommend anyone to try their food,Sandwiches also available in the bar at a reasonable price. Perfect location for all the major historic sites-the taxi stand, bus services and metro right on the door step.

I was there for a business trip so I didn't see much of the hotel, due to early starts and long days. However my room was located next to the elevator, and I could hear people using it early in the morning. Walls are thin and I could also hear my neighbour use their hairdryer. However, the worst came not during, but after the trip. I forgot an item of clothing in the closet, on a hanger. Once I arrived back home and realised, I called and emailed the hotel. However they claimed not to have fou... Read more

My girlfriend and I had two nights in Rome, we picked the Imperiale for 3 reasons. Price Location Renovated Seasoned travelers know how hard it is to find clean renovated rooms in Rome. When we checked in to the hotel I requested a renovated room, the nice lady at the front desk told me all rooms are renovated. To our disappointed when we got to our room early depression decor would describe the decorating except for a new bed. The wallpaper on all 4 walls was old, dirty and in some parts peeli... Read more

Chose to sit down here with my girlfriend as it looked full. My seafood salad was bulked out with lots of cheap octopus and celery, along with some weird fruit. Wasn't impressed; should be no excuse for bad seafood in Rome. It's not that far from the sea!

Right from check in this is a lovely place to stay in Rome. Close to everything you want to see. All walking distance even in July heat of 34 degrees. The staff are all friendly and helpful .. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My room was quiet and although not enormous it was extremely comfortable. I thoroughly recommend and will return!

After a mistake in booking La Settima Luna Guest House, I remembered walking past Hotel Imperiale earlier in the day and liked its location and the look of it and left La Settima at 11:30pm and moved to Hotel Imperiale. This hotel is great in everything -- its location, its ambience, its comfort, its price, its friendly staff. The only thing that kept me from giving it an excellent rating is that basically the rooms are way too small, though I had a full-size bed, minibar, dresser drawer and tel... Read more

This hotel is in an ideal location with many bar/restaurants nearby. Main attractions can be easily walked to with the exception of the Vatican which is the farthest away. The hotel has undergone some renovation and the room we had was clean, roomy and had all that is required for a short stay. Friendly staff and acceptable continental breakfast. For a city hotel it meets all requirements. I would stay at this hotel again. Rated as 4 star but more like a 3 star plus. There is a coffee machine in... Read more

Our overall stay in the hotel was pretty nice, the hotels location was excellent, the room were spacious which was really great, the breakfast was average for a 4 star hotel the staff was really helpful, we booked a tour for the Vatican and a bus picked us up from the hotel and they were on time and the tour was excellent my only comment would be on that there was only one elevator but the hotel was't too big so it was able to handle the amount of people staying there

The hotel is central to all transport. Our room was not noisy as some guests on trip adviser had said, we sleep very well. Form arriving to departing staff were helpful, happy and informative. The rooms are spotless clean. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. We have no complaints about this hotel and would certainly stay here again if in Rome.

The location is wonderful, close to the Spanish Steps (construction zone right now) and the Trevi Fountain. It is also close to subway, tour buses, and great local restaurants. Weather was very hot and the room was nicely air conditioned. We would recommend this hotel again.

This hotel is well located and clean. The décor is nice, if not exciting. The service is OK. We were happy enough, staying there, but it didn't knock our socks off. We found the older bathrooms with bathtubs a little difficult to use without getting water all over the bathroom, but the beds were comfortable, it was quiet, we could walk to some of the places we wanted to visit, and we enjoyed our stay. Would not recommend this place. Certainly not a 4-star, the pictures online are misleading. 3-star at best. You can get more for your money. Aside from the good location, hotel room was outdated and very small. Also, the "free wifi" they tell you doesn't even work properly, this is just to lure you in so you request the premium wifi for 6 euros every 24 hours. Awful!

Hotel was very nice, staff pleasant, and well located. We paid for a triple room(wanted two beds as no king was available). Paid 50%more and asked at check in if we were assigned the correct room. After three nights we became aware that the very small room we were given was NOT the one we paid for. Asked for a refund (booked thru Hotels.com) and was told we had to request by e mail to the hotel/company. They ignored several requests and would not respond to Hotels.com request. We feel cheated.
