I stayed here for 1 night in March 2016. The room was a decent size (not too big, not too small) and was clean. Some of the detail needed work (a broken handle on the hair dryer which was sellotaped over) and the shower ran hot or cold but rarely warm. The hotel is in a very good location close to Villa Borghese and some nice restaurants as well as the Spanish Steps. I feel that my room was not reflective of the standard in the photo on this website but as a cheaper option in a nice area, ... Read more

Stayed at the Hotel Garda for 2 nights in May 2016. The hotel is basic but clean. The hotel shares a building with other businesses and is located on the 4th and 5th floor. Access to the 4th floor (reception) is via lift or stairs. Friendly and functional reception and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are small (box room sized)and a little basic. You get free Wifi, flat screen TV, Aircon (had to ask for remote) and a room fridge. You also get a cupboard and chair in the room. ... Read more

Not a brilliant hotel. No kettle. No chest of draws. Just bed, wardrobe and very small bathroom. Trouble using toilet the bathroom is so small. Staff friendly but not helpful. Up a hill. And a bit of a walk from the centre. Its Luke walking in to a block of apartments then into a hotel. Have to past city tax on check out which they do jot tell you. No air conditioning before June 1st. Not good when its too hot to sleep.

Just returned home from a one week stay in the Hotel Garda. Located in North of the city near the Borghese Park so quite hilly on your return from city centre. Our room was a good size but very basic with a wardrobe but no drawers. Bathroom again a good size but the shower was so small you could hardly turn in it and the water went from boiling hot to freezing cold then back to boiling hot ... Very dangerous especially for children!! Around about a 10- 15 minute walk to Spanish steps if this hel... Read more

A clean and simple hotel close to downtown. I got a single room for 2 nights. A very small room with a single bed and bathroom. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is small, but decent. Cheap price, but wifi connection could be better. My room was right by the reception lobby and I still encountered weak wifi signal. Yet the lobby area was a strong signal. I'd only stay here for short stays or at least get a larger room. Hotel is kind of tucked away in a... Read more

I stayed at the hotel 6 nights in July. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the room was for one guy big enough with a balcony. The bathroom was nice but I had problems getting good temperature for the water (it was either too cold or too hot). Only I'm disappointed with was the breakfast, they served only sweet stuff. After eating cakes & croissants powdered with sugar for almost a week I wanted something salty.
