I can't say enough about this hotel. I have ZERO complaints! The room was beautiful, bathroom was good. Everything was spotless. ANytime I thought I had an issue- I saw it was already taken care of (IE pillows were very flat- open closet and there's extra blankets and pillows to use!). I arrived a few hours early direct from my flight- and hoped to just drop my luggage off- they checked me right in. I had ended up arriving a day early and so I had two reservations- they had already fixed it so I... Read more

This small ,very clean hotel is in a good location for a short stay in Rome. Near the main train station and all bus links. The breakfast is limited but adequate to start the day. the hotel staff are helpful and do give good advice. If more than one person is in the lift they had be related or they will be by the time they come out! The lift is that small.wi fi work well. The rooms are small but very clean, there are no towels but the drying cloth do the job effectively. I would not recommend thi... Read more

Spent 4 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was quite small, but were always clean and was just fine for me on my own. The front desk staff were very friendly and always welcomed with a smile and a 'Bonjourno"! The continental breakfast was great with plenty of choice and you could eat it out on the rooftop terrace. The location was excellent. 10 minute walk from Termini station and about 20 minute walk from the Colosseum. If I was to return to Rome, I would definitely stay h... Read more

We chose this hotel based on the reviews, its location and the good price. It lived up to all of it. The hotel is a very short walk from the Termini station, so it's convenient to many historical sights. We arrived direct from our flight, which landed in the morning. Our room wasn't ready yet, but they held our bags and delivered them to the room once it was. In the meantime, we walked a short distance to see the ancient Roman baths and to grab some lunch. The owner and front desk staff were v... Read more

We stayed at the Doria with another couple for 23 nights on our first trip to Rome having booked the hotel through recommendations on TA. The hotel is conveniently located near St Mary Maggiore church and about a 15 minute walk to the colosseum. Taxi from the Fiumincini airport cost ?48. We were given 2 double rooms, they are small but lovely, comfortable bed with additional pilows and blankets and a sml safe and mini bar in room ( prices are great value) Shower room is tiny and toilet awkwa... Lovely friendly hotel which is excellently situated for the sites of Rome, within 5min walk of the train station and all the sites can be walked to within 30 mins. The room was lovely and very clean,my only criticism would be that the shower is very snug,if you're a bigger person I think you would struggle. Breakfast on the roof is very good and certainly enough to set you up for the day.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Doria in Rome for our honeymoon in late April/early May. It is a lovely boutique hotel with a wonderful staff that was so helpful to us during our stay (a staff that is there 24 hours a day!..great when you're coming back from dinner and drinks quite late at night). We even were surprised with roses and a bottle of champagne in our room to celebrate our honeymoon. We booked a 2 day Pompeii/Capri tour through the hotel and since we would be leaving very early... My husband and I stayed here at the end of April. Hotel is spotless and quaint and in a great location. Handy for the hop on hop off bus stop too. Staff are really friendly and helpful. There is only room for one at a time in the lift but that just added to the charm! Bathrooms are a bit small but you have everything you need. Breakfast is included and they have a great selection to start you off on your days of sight seeing and the view from the roof top terrace was just lovely. We were a... Read more

This is a charming small hotel that is walking distance from Termini station. The people were super nice, and we enjoyed breakfast (included) on the roof-top dining area every morning while overlooking the city. Breakfast is very modest, no carving stations or anything like that. We were able to find enough to eat though. Coffee is served any way you like it at breakfast. After breakfast there is no food service until the next morning. There is no bar here either. This was not a deal brea... Read more

My husband and I stayed here in June. The location was within an easy walk of Termini station and close to several fun little restaurants. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The lift was so tiny, it only fit one person and one bag but that was workable. The breakfast on the roof was our favorite part.

We have just returned from a four night stay at Hotel Doria. A lovely small hotel. Room was clean, and the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Having breakfast on the rooftop terrace is a great way to start the day. The only (small) complaint I would have is the size of the shower, could hardly move in it. However, it certainly wasn't enough to stop me ever staying there again.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights for a sightseeing holiday. The hotel was great. It was conveniently located in the city centre just 5 minutes walk from Termini Train station and close to the Colosseum. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was exceptionally clean. It was quiet and air-conditioned. There was a good selection of continental breakfast and we ate breakfast on the roof top, which was delightful. Not bad, not great. A convenient area, and the hotel is ok. The price is a little bit too high for the value, it is clean though and the people pleasant and helpful. There is nothing special about it, the breakfast needs improvement, especially the coffee!

I (55+ woman travelling solo) stayed here for three nights in September. My single room, while small, was cool with great AC, quiet, had a comfortable bed, a good mini bar (offering prosecco) and the TV included a couple of English language stations. I had no view from the window, but this was not a problem for me. Room was more than adequate for my needs. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Termini and is relatively close to the Coliseum. Breakfast was good and is offered on the rooftop wit... Read more

10 min walk, easy to find, way from Roma Termini and you'll find this door in the wall leading in to the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are adequate but still good value. Clean rooms. My single bed room was small, in fact so small that the only place I could handle my suitcase was if I placed it on the bed. Hotel has a wonderful roof top breakfast area with both indoor and outdoor seating from where you at least see the top of the Colosseum. Breakfast is average. You'll find ... Read more

I hated this hotel. The location is not central to any shops or restaurants. It was noisy on the street and I didn't feel "safe" in the area. The lift barely holds one "small" person. The breakfast is served on the 6th floor and you must use the stairs to get there. It is rooftop and quite cold in the morning. They have an 'arrangement' with the car service to the airport. It would have been cheaper to take a taxi. I would not stay here again.

Simple Hotel... no to be enjoyed but to spend all day around and be back to rest.Good service, clean room. Very good breakfast served at 6th floor. Nice personnel. Located at 4 blocks from Termini Station there are cafeterias and supermarkets around , the Rome central market is near by. Good location, 15 min walking from coliseum. Positive experience!!!!

We used this hotel only for the purpose of a stopover, as the next day we were leaving for the airport. Both the night and morning hotel desk staff were rude and have no clue what it means to be in the service industry. Is it asking too much for you to say hello and ask how we are doing? The room is tiny and the bathroom is so small that you can barely close the shower door. Could never stay here for more than one night. We stayed in an apartment just down the road for a week and the overall ... Read more

Second time staying at the Doria hotel. It's not my usual choice of hotel, but as a good budget base, this one has it's charms. It's close to the Termini station, so getting to the hotel is super easy. Yep - it's got a tiny lift for one person - but this is Rome, not Las Vegas, so take it as 'charming', or get a good workout using the stairs. The gentlemen on reception are actually quite lovely Italians. They say hello and good evening and will store your bags if you need to.. it's brief and to... Read more

We booked this hotel last minute because we had been let down for our hotel room with lowcostholidays. This is a pretty central hotel not far from the Colleseum and Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica. Rooms are pretty small and ours had the smallest shower known to man. Despite this we had a lovely stay for the weekend! The staff are lovely and the breakfast is lovely on the terrace on the roof. Would stay again.

We stayed here for four nights and used it as our base for exploring the city. It's in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and sights within walking distance. It was clean and had a friendly staff, and a decent, if not exciting breakfast. It may have the world's smallest elevator so be prepared to hoof it up to the sixth floor for breakfast (work off some of last night's pasta). Our room also had a rather "compact" bathroom, so it is not for NFL or NBA players. I'd rate it somewhere... Read more
