We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Diocleziano, the staff were polite, helpful, warm and had a great sense of humour. Breakfast buffet was worth spending the extra on - a range of pastries, cold meats, bacon, eggs, exotic fruits, cereals, freshly squeezed juices, coffee, etc. Everything we needed to set us up for a day of walking around Rome. Location is ideal, the Termini Station is just 2-3 mins across the road with links to buses, trains and the metro. If I were to go back to Rome, this would b... Read more

We choose this hotel based on it's closeness to Termini and the positive reviews it had received. We were not disappointed. Excellent choice for the rail traveler, a 5 minute walk from the station. Hotel is extremely clean and finely appointed. The breakfast was very good with plenty of selections served in a spacious room. The staff made dining, banking and shopping recommendations that helped us out greatly. So when in Rome make this your place to stay, I know I will.

I've been to Rome many times and have stayed at Hotel Diocleziano during many of those stays. The staff at Diocleziano are helpful and professional. The location is central - just two minutes from Termini Train station. There are many restaurants, shops and attractions just minutes away. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is great with an amazing staff who oversee it. I always enjoy my stays at Diocleziano.

This is a wonderful hotel with the best service in Italy! The staff went out of their way to help us get up, a car, breakfast and safely to the airport for an early morning flight. They saved and returned an item I left at the hotel. Each staff member was a pleasure to meet! The hotel had the best breakfast in our 6 hotel tour of Italy and a stay in London. The hotel is nice enough with a comfortable bed. Breakfast not included with our room rate so not sure about that side of things. It's very close to Termini station and there are lots of homeless people around. The streets surrounding the hotel absolutely stink which is unfortunate and no fault of the hotels but worth bearing in mind. Especially if female or traveling alone as the walk back could make you feel uneasy.

This little gem of a hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Termini railway station! Which made it easier for one to travel to and from the airport. It is a 3 minute walk to the Hop On Hop off bus stop. The hotel itself is very clean. Our room had two double beds. My friend likes a firm bed which was great for her. I stayed for four nights at this hotel with my son for a leisure vacation. I agree with everything the other reviewers mentioned. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly. However, I would not stay in this location again. It is very close to the train station but there are many places that would be more picturesque and better suited to nights out. First time in Rome and my husband & I stayed here for 3 nights. From the minute we walked into the hotel lobby the whole staff were friendly and very helpful. Doreen at the front desk went out of her way far more then expected when I was having problems with my cell phone. I am very grateful to her. The hotel is conveniently location near the train station and Metro. We walked with our luggage the one block when getting off the train & it was easy to locate. Our first day we took the hop on/off... Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights in mid September - fantastic location just minutes walk from Termini Train Station - great rooms and facilities, nice breakfast and great staff. Right next to the National Roman Museum - Baths of Diocletian as well as the Michelangelo designed Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli e Dei Martiri - where he reused much of the former Roman Baths complex for the Church structure. Easy walking distance to major attractions, well worth staying here.

We stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights and can thoroughly recommend it as a base for your stay in Rome. It is so convenient. Walking distance to the main station and the Hop-on Hop off bus terminal and some excellent restaurants at the end of the quiet street where it is placed. Very little traffic and convenient. The breakfasts are sensational - freshly cooked and brewed coffee. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel will pick up from the Airport and happy to direct you to the places ... Read more

Having visited Rome last year, we decided to take the boys with us to see the sights. Last time we stayed up near Piazza del Popolo, but this time wanted to be more in the centre. Was not expecting much for the price, but was VERY surprised by this gem of a find! Yes, it is not in a pretty setting (surrounding roads are a bit mucky tbh), but this hotel is a diamond! Rooms were SPOTLESS, staff went out of their way at all times to help you, the breakfast was lovely, the bar in the room was free.... Read more

The start of our stay at the hotel (we had reservations) began with being informed they were full for our first night. However, they took us to their sister location, the I.Q. Hotel which was beautiful. When returned the next day to the Hotel Diocleziano, the management placed us in room 501, their best room, to make amends. We were completely surprised and happy with how we were treated. Absolutely fantastic. Because we had tours leaving before the breakfast room opened the hotel provided ... Read more

We stayed there for 3 nights and every things were perfect . Very clean room and bathroom . Good service at breakfast with wide variety . Near the termini station and metro. And bus with good accessibility to every where .. The only suggestion is that better to use glass mug in room instead of plastic one .

The hotel is a good recommendation. Close to the train station (and hop-on hop-off buses) and other transportation. Staff is friendly, good beds and clean rooms. The only downside is that you actually need transportation to get to the major sites or restaurants.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The location is great- near Termini but on a quiet dead end street. The staff is professional and friendly. The rooms are clean and have all necessary amenities- safes, good beds and linens, good AC and bathrooms. Excellent breakfast. I love to stroll through the Baths of Diocletian and visit the National Museums nearby. From Termini or Reppublica I can get anywhere in the city. I will definitely be back. Staff made several reservations and even looked into ... Read more

This hotel is easy to find even though it only has sign on the door and not a large sign that can be seen down the street. Very convenient to train station. Desk clerk, Doreen, was extremely helpful. The recommended restaurants were very good. Rooms were good size for Europe and very clean with good air flow even though air conditioning was off. Breakfast buffet was acceptable with fresh squeezed orange juice and large selection of foods. Would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable small hotel in very convenient location, near to the Termini rail station and intersection station for the two metro lines. The rooms are small but clean, comfortable and modern. We requested high floor but ended up at the back on the first floor so not a lot of natural light or view. Nice clean well equipped bathroom with good shower, but hot water was only just hot enough a couple of times in the morning. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and the fresh orange juice and expreso cof... Read more

We ( total 6 people) stayed at this hotel for first time End of October for 3 nights ... The size of this hotel is quite small for 4 star hotel but it has perfect location..These are several opinions for the stay at this hotel for other guests : 1). I did not recommend to walk ("even though only 5 minutes") bringing luggage from hotel to Termini for avoiding pick-pocket and robbery... We used hired taxi to bring us from hotel to Termini Station. 2). Choose the Room Deluxe with Terrace so that th... Read more

Stayed as part of a group of 15 travellers. From the moment we arrived in Rome, this hotel went above and beyond. The shuttle that was pre-arranged was ready and waiting when we got through the airport. They maintained extra staff to ensure our check-in proceeded smoothly. Our rooms were ready and although the beds were hard by Canadian standards the requests for additional foamies was promptly arranged. I left my IPad on the plane and the staff persisted with the airline until it was found. Th... Read more

We stayed four nights in here. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Furnitures and carpet are well maintained and clean clean clean! Bed was queen size and comfortable. Shower room is clean and water pressure was good. Five minutes walk from Termini and thirty minutes walk from Coloseum. We didn't have breakfast as it was 9 euro per person. Overall, highly recommend.

We had requested an early check inn for around 1 pm and when we got to the Hotel, our room was ready for us. This small hotel is in a very quiet street and close to the Termini train station (3 min walk). The Staff is very friendly and our room was perfect and clean. We never heard any sound from other rooms. The breakfast buffet is very good with lots of extra. We love it so much that we came back to the same hotel after traveling for one month in Italy.
