The hotel was very friendly, well maintained, very clean. Located within walking distance to the Termini train station, the Coliseum, the Forum and other Roman sites Beds are quite hard, but this is common in Italy.

Had the opportunity to again visit Rome (on our way to Florence) and stayed with the Hotel Cosmopolita for the second time. If anything, the second time was better as the staff were again very helpful and understanding of an Australian who does not speak their language. Asked for a large double room and ended up with a bedroom and sitting room. Costs were reasonable and the location cannot be beaten. Hotel Cosmopolita, thanks for a great couple of nights, it was a pleasure.

Just a short walk from the ancient ruins of Rome, this hotel is ideally situated for walking almost anywhere in the city, including amazing restaurants. We even found the walk to the Vatican (1.5 miles) quite enjoyable. In addition to its great location, this hotel provides exceptional service. The staff are courteous and friendly and anxious to make your stay perfect. Be sure to ask them to arrange your transport to the airport - it is by far the best deal in town at 52 euros for the 50-minut... Read more

It's an old hotel and could do with a revamp. Our room was clean but not large and no easy chairs. Tv is pay on demand so if you decide to stay in it will cost you . On the front good views but very noisy .Clean sheets every day which we found very nice . Reception staff were very helpful and pleasant . Breakfast was more than sufficient. On the whole a nice stay in a very central location in Rome.Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Many Thanks to the Hotel Cosmopolita and all the staff. My wife chose the hotel to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. We were very happy with her choice. The staff were excellent, the hotel was in a great location. Once again thanks for making our anniversary such a wonderfull experience. Kind Regards Andy Eade.

This hotel really is in the most perfect location for your stay in Rome! We could walk to the Colosseum within 10 minutes, our room had views of the top of the Piazza Venezia which could be reached with a 2 minute walk, and both the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain can be reached within a 20-30 minutes walk! When we arrived at the hotel, we were provided with a map and the front desk staff highlighted key walking routes to all the main locations... Keep hold of this map, it will be your bible through... The room is clean and the Hotel location is central! We walked every where with ease. The staff were very friendly and informative, will definitely return and recommend. It is located beside the Piazza di Venezia and close to the Colosseum. The food at the attached restaurant is well priced and beautiful. Wonderful stay in beautiful Rome :)

We got to the hotel and the staff were unwelcoming and very rude. We got to our room and our TV would not work so we told someone and they just said okay like they did not care. So the next day we told someone else that was very nice and she sent a men up to our room straight away and he fixed it. The wallpaper was ripped and there was dirt on the walls. There is no view and not much sun came throw the window. I will never stay here again.

Walked in without a reservation they had a room for me very nice central location couldn't be any more central found parking on the street!woke up the next morning to a military parade, the whole area was confined; which was great and of course the whole neighborhood is not hurting for restaurants; under 100 for night

The position of this Hotel is 4 Star and that is where this rating ends. We chose the Hotel because of the roof top balcony which is advertised on their site but upon arrival we were advised that it was being renovated. I see that this has been occurring for 4 years and so this is false advertising. This Hotel is rated 4 star and if it wishes to pitch its services to westerners then tea and coffee facilities are a mimimum, even 2 star rated properties have this service, but there wasn't even a k... The location is great, just steps away from the Ruins. The staff was helpful but the room was very dark, the a/c didn't work very well and the beds weren't very comfortable. Every other hotel we stayed in during our two week France/Italy trip provided complimentary water but not this one. The prices for water and snacks were ridiculous (over 4 Euros for a kit kat bar!). The bathroom is tiny. The restaurant was fair,\; once we overslept and had to pay for breakfast and we got burned scrambled egg... Read more

The location of this hotel is excellent and would recommend if location is important to you as within walking distance to everything. The actual hotel itself was pretty poor, we had problems with the flooring in our room which was broken in places. Internet access not very good, there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room and breakfast was an additional cost which we did not take up. Very expensive hotel to stay in for the facilities that are available. The maid service however was good.

All buildings in Rome are old so you kind of expect a bit of age but I'm not sure the rooms needed to be this tiny. Definitely only one person in the bathroom at a time. Bed was only a double size and mattress quite hard. With a husband that is 190cm, this made it feel really small. Also, no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom was provided so I had to go out and buy some. I thought 4 star hotels had to provide at least that. There are no tea/coffee making facilities but I'm realising this ... Read more

We have a standard for hotel to be 4 stars or not. This hotel was small, had only 1 small/narrow elevator for guests, the floor had many single-stairs so it's quite difficult to pull our luggages. The room was darker than we expected. The view was our neighbour's window. The furniture was old, the bathroom was very small, there was only 1 broken trash bin in our room. The wooden floor on the corridor in front of our room was very disturbing when other guest steps on it.The breakfast was standard... Read more

Firstly, this hotel is in a great location within easy walk of the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. A taxi ride to the Vatican museum was less than 15 Euro. The hotel itself was fairly basic, with rooms on the small side and no onsite restaurant or bar and no in-room coffee. The breakfast area was also small and the selection was limited. Wi-fi was free, but strength and speed was spotty in our room. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

This place is ideal for location. It's walking distance from all the major sites, restaurants and transportation. It's a basic hotel that gives you the necessities for your stay and nothing more. The beds are a little uncomfortable but from all the walking we didn't need much help falling asleep! But the location trumps all!

The location is great. But there were several steps and stairs here and there (between lobby and the elevator; inside the hotel room) make it very difficult to roll luggages. Unless you move the night stands and unplug the lamps, the only outlet to charge your phone is in the bathroom. Some rooms were tiny, AC unit in our room was not working properly. Our shower stall was about the smallest I've seen (maybe less than 3'x3') and breakfast, not so great. bugs in the lobby and in the cafe area..... Read more

Perfect location!! Few minutes walk to some of the attractions, Plaza Venezia, Colosseum, Fontana di Trevi etc. Shopping street just around the corner. The rooms were clean and pretty, with comfortable beds. The staff is super nice and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Despite of the central location, there was no noise in the room. Highly recommended

Lovely friendly service, though def less so than other hotels we've visited. Disappointed there was no help with bags considering there were steps to go up and we had two young children! Room was clean, and nice. Nothing great, definitely could do with updates. Bathroom same. No free TV, only pay. Breakfast nice, well priced. During our entire stay we had workmen directly outside our door doing work all day. Made it impossible to rest! Best feature was location. 10 minute walk to coloseum, also ... Read more

We ( family of 3 ppl ) stayed at Cosmopolita Hotel for 2x nights. We were checked in & greeted at reception by Alex ( front of house ) & he took the trouble to give us a map & informed us where we were located, + showed us where the public buses were & think he told us that as long as we caught a No. 40 bus, it would bring us back to the area. He also circled various famous sight seeing spots that we had booked tours for :- The Vatican, Sistine Chapel, The Colosseum &Trevi Fountain to name a few... Read more

The hotel is located right next to Piazza Venezia and is walking distance from all main attractions in Rome! and I mean ALL! so that was exactly what we were looking for and got it :) plus the price was very reasonable taking into consideration the season and the hotel's location... Great central location that is so important for a city like rome . i booked directly with the hotel and got a great deal on a their lifestyle room . breakfast met our needs . Negatives: i was on the 1st floor facing a busy street , hotel has no sound proof window and was unable to sleep at night due to horrible street noise ! Taxi booked with hotel at 52euros and i felt like i was going to die due to excessive speed... Fair experience but wont return .

Such a friendly staff, clean, hotel. Breakfast was very good and service was terrific. Elevator (Lift) was very slow so we took the stairs which was a bit much after all of the walking we did each day on our tours. Air conditioner was great in the room, but it was quite warm in the hallways hiking up the stairs.
