We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions within the same month. The staff helped us with arranging tours, making recommendations and just making you feel welcome. When you travel, I'm comforted and excited by a place that makes you feel secure and wants you to enjoy yourself. They offer a complimentary breakfast (fruits, yogurts, breads, cheese, meats, cereal). It served in a wonderfully decorated area by an efficient and helpful staff. The rooms are well-appointed, comfortable an... Read more

Stayed here with my wife for a long weekend. Very nice friendly people run this hotel who are more than happy to help. Rooms are very clean and linen changed daily, breakfast is continental and fine. Make sure you take the opportunity to use the hotel roof top bar, watching the sun set over Rome in the evening with the colosseum and other sights on the sky line is amazing. We would definitely use this hotel again, it's in a great location to explore Rome and is about a 15 minute walk to the colo... Read more

The hotel staff were particularly helpful and obliging, including letting us have a room at short notice a few days after our initial stay. The facilities were fine, and the breakfast very good and well organised.Rooms not palatial but justified 3 stars. Setting v quiet even with some ongoing building works. Location ideal for beginning with ancient monuments and central station walkable with hand luggage. Would strongly recommend at the price

I stayed in this hotel from April 29 to May 5. What a great stay! I arrived at 11:00am,and was able to drop my luggage off before hitting the City. When I returned at midnight, the night desk person was polite, (very serious), but friendly. I found my room very clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was great, coffee, tea, croissants, muffins, yogurt, fruit, ham and cheese. I had other friends staying in other hotels in the same area, who said their breakfast was not a buffet and c... Read more

Quaint little hotel with an excellent staff! We enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop garden with a bottle of wine at the end of the day. The view from the rooftop is spectacular. The breakfast was much better than we expected and the staff was both helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Colosseum. Fantastic value for a hotel with polite and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a plentiful breakfast. The rooftop bar has wonderful views over the city and is well worth booking the hotel for alone. The location is good - quiet but not far from many sights or the metro if you want to go further afield. We quite happily managed to walk to most places from the hotel. The wifi connection is good - though my ipad did have problems findin... Read more

We are a family of 3 with a 7 years old daughter and the hotel was perfect. No pretence, clean , quiet but central area. 10minutes walk from the colosseum. The best part of the hotel is definitvely the roof top bar, run by an amazing barman called Francesco, who has a smile on his face all the time, serves great drinks and has some good advice of where to eat. The continental breakfast are very sufficient. The rooms are clean and spacious as the bathrooms. If you are looking for a simple but ea... Read more

This is the hotel we will definitely come back to if we return to Rome, from the moment we stepped in the door we loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was all we needed for our 4 day break and the view was amazing. The breakfast room was so beautifully Italian and the variety of food was just what we needed for a days sightseeing, and don't get me started on the amazing roof terrace and bar. First of all, I strongly suggest you do NOT book this hotel...we did so about two months back and paid $224.00 per night, believing Rome to be expensive perhaps but also believing that for this price we would find quite good accomodation. WRONG. On Booking.com, the day we arrived, we find the same room available for $119.00, no mistake. And $119.00 is about what it is worth...we are in a very small room with not so much as a fridge so yes, we are very disappointed and feel more than a little sca... Read more

We had 2 adults and 2 tweens, so the 4 twin beds was perfect. Having two showers was awesome after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast was great for us as well. Assortment of breads, meat, cheeses, juices etc... There was a mini-split AC in the room so we could adjust the temp as needed. There was a lovely rooftop with a bar! The staff was wonderful and assisted us with all of our needs. Would definitely stay here again when in Rome!!

Booked this for 3 nights back in January 2016 for a couples getaway. We took the train from the airport and walked a few blocks to get to this hotel. It is a street back off a main one, but the neighborhood is safe and had no worries even walking around at night. Seems to be amongst business and schools. The hotel is small and very quaint. The room was wonderful and we had a view of the city and could even see part of the Colosseum from our room. The elevator is small and only fits 2-3 peop... Read more

I stayed here with my 5 yr old for 2 nights. We arrived by train and this hotel was chosen for its proximity to the station and to the Colosseum. It turns out it was ideally situated for most things. I wouldn't say it was in the best location and I felt a little apprehensive when I approached it but I saw nothing to give me reason to be. It was somewhere to sleep and grab a bit of breakfast. The Metro is one block away so you can easily get to where you want, The Colosseum, the form and the National Museum are less then a 1/2 hour walk, as well as a number of excellent restaraunts, ( Suggest you ask the desk they have some great ideas) The service was above average, breakfast is well stock and more than enough to keep you going until a late lunch. You pay a bit extra for the excellent location. The staff is very nice, the rooms are a bit outdated but clean and the beds are good. One block off the busy street so nights are nice and quiet. The best part is really the rooftop in the evening for a cocktail and sunset over Rome. Only one real problem in my particular case, since i'm 6'3". The awesome things are 1) the location only a 10 minute walk to termini train station, 5minute walk to the hop on hop off bus stop.
