We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions within the same month. The staff helped us with arranging tours, making recommendations and just making you feel welcome. When you travel, I'm comforted and excited by a place that makes you feel secure and wants you to enjoy yourself. They offer a complimentary breakfast (fruits, yogurts, breads, cheese, meats, cereal). It served in a wonderfully decorated area by an efficient and helpful staff. Stayed here with my wife for a long weekend. Very nice friendly people run this hotel who are more than happy to help. Rooms are very clean and linen changed daily, breakfast is continental and fine. Make sure you take the opportunity to use the hotel roof top bar, watching the sun set over Rome in the evening with the colosseum and other sights on the sky line is amazing. We would definitely use this hotel again, it's in a great location to explore Rome and is about a 15 minute walk to the colo... Read more

The hotel staff were particularly helpful and obliging, including letting us have a room at short notice a few days after our initial stay. The facilities were fine, and the breakfast very good and well organised.Rooms not palatial but justified 3 stars. Setting v quiet even with some ongoing building works. Location ideal for beginning with ancient monuments and central station walkable with hand luggage. Would strongly recommend at the price

I stayed in this hotel from April 29 to May 5. What a great stay! I arrived at 11:00am,and was able to drop my luggage off before hitting the City. When I returned at midnight, the night desk person was polite, (very serious), but friendly. I found my room very clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was great, coffee, tea, croissants, muffins, yogurt, fruit, ham and cheese. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Colosseum. Fantastic value for a hotel with polite and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a plentiful breakfast. The rooftop bar has wonderful views over the city and is well worth booking the hotel for alone. The location is good - quiet but not far from many sights or the metro if you want to go further afield. We quite happily managed to walk to most places from the hotel. We are a family of 3 with a 7 years old daughter and the hotel was perfect. No pretence, clean , quiet but central area. 10minutes walk from the colosseum. The best part of the hotel is definitvely the roof top bar, run by an amazing barman called Francesco, who has a smile on his face all the time, serves great drinks and has some good advice of where to eat. First of all, I strongly suggest you do NOT book this hotel...we did so about two months back and paid $224.00 per night, believing Rome to be expensive perhaps but also believing that for this price we would find quite good accomodation. WRONG. On Booking.com, the day we arrived, we find the same room available for $119.00, no mistake. And $119.00 is about what it is worth...we are in a very small room with not so much as a fridge so yes, we are very disappointed and feel more than a little sca... Read more

We had 2 adults and 2 tweens, so the 4 twin beds was perfect. Having two showers was awesome after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast was great for us as well. Assortment of breads, meat, cheeses, juices etc... There was a mini-split AC in the room so we could adjust the temp as needed. There was a lovely rooftop with a bar! The staff was wonderful and assisted us with all of our needs. Would definitely stay here again when in Rome!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in Rome whilst celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location is fabulous, we strolled here in 10 mins from termini station and its also perfectly located to the metro which we used to get to Vatican City (and the metro is super cheap to use). We walked to both the colosseum area and Trevi Fountain (amongst many other places) from the hotel. The room itself was quite small but perfectly adequate given its 3 star rating, there are small improvements that could be ma... Read more

The staff at Hotel Colosseum couldn't have been more helpful. I discovered the wall mounted room hair dryer was broken and asked the front desk for help, they didn't have another hair dryer but gave me the key to a vacant room where I could use that one! Pretty impressive. Staff member came to our room to help us figure out the a/c after we had trouble with it. Charmingly old school-- had written guest book, you turn your keys in when you go out for the day... Bathroom a nice size and the room ... Read more

Everyone told me Rome was a fabulous city to visit, it surpassed fabulous. The Hotel Colloseum was excellent. Staff were welcoming, helpful and well dressed. Our room was spotless. So much choice for continental breakfast. Thank goodness for the air conditioning as temperatures reached 31 degrees. The rooftop terrace is fabulous. Only thing we missed was tea/coffee facilities in our room.

This hotel is perfect in every way. Large rooms, clean and well decorated. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We requested a balcony room which we were told on booking couldn't be guaranteed but they pulled out all the stops and we were granted our wish. As frequent visitors to Italy, the rooms we know can be hit or miss, the service sometimes sketchy but not this hotel. The location is perfect and the view from the roof terrace breath taking. The reception staff were extremely helpful. The rooms, although basic, were comfortable and very clean. The hotel is in a very good position for the sights, buses and restaurants. Had a great short break.

Superb hotel in a great position to access all the main attractions directly by foot. The rooms are kept very clean and are comfortable with air conditioning available if needed. The staff are friendly and helpful and any queries or advice can be dealt with at reception. The biggest surprise for us was the silence at night! It was difficult to believe we were in a very busy city. Bliss! The immediate area of Monti is delightful and has more than enough restaurants tucked away for all. The breakf... Read more
