Stayed there for three nights. All the staff working there is really helpful.. However once I asked a glass in a bar to take to my room, as we have bought nice wine.. there was an expression hmmzz.. usually we give plastic ones. For real???? However room was always clean and tidy. Location is really good. 10 minutes from Termini station walking distance.. surrounded by perfect cafes or bistros.. near the Coleusum.. 6 floor breakfast restaurant view is breathtaking.. but breakfast buffet very poo... We are traveling in Italy for three weeks and the Hotel Barberini in Rome was our first stop. The staff was great, the room was clean and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and shower was good. The breakfast was complimentary and was very good. It had toast, pastries, scrambled eggs, assorted cheeses, sausage, bacon and fresh fruits with juices and coffee. The location was conveniently located to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain both within easy walking distance ..... Also locate... Read more

Small but adequate rooms in central location. Clean and well equipped, except for wifi which is by far the slowest of any hotel in Rome I have stayed in. If that's not important to you then I can recommend this hotel. Unfortunately for me, on business, I cannot.

This elegant and quiet hotel is situated in a historic street at the slopes of the Quirinale Hill. It is substantially in front of the wonderfull Barberini Palace and strictly in the middle between piazza/ square Barberini, ideal place to start a visit because there is ,a part the marvellous Fountain of Tritone by Bernini, the metro station and also is near at the famous Via Veneto with is unique fanè but absolutely fascinating atmosphere of the high society and movie stars of the '50 and '60. ... This small hotel has a friendly and helpful staff and always had staff that spoke English. The room is beautifully furnished although the bed was the hardest we had encountered in our 7 country, 15 city tour. Other than that, it was almost perfect. It's a great location, walkable to the Trevi Fountain and the pickup for the Hop on Hop off bus. I did not have any problems with the wifi, but I was not doing any business. I would write my emails offline then log in to send them. The breakfast buffe... Read more

Service was a 4 of 5, rooms were mostly clean and semi-luxurious, decent views, good restaurant up top, location was nice, and I'd consider staying here again. The only thing I would change about it is that the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors doing things... all night.

Booked hotel as a last minute getaway....arranged taxi from airport with hotel and excellent driver arrived (60 euros). At check in really pleasant welcome with quick process and a great gesture of room upgrade. Breakfast was good on the 6th floor with views of the city and relaxing. Location is great for Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain ( no more than 10 minutes to both) and close to the Red Bus Hop on - Hop off route. Booked this hotel due to it's location near to the places we wanted to see in Rome. Close to the piazza Barberini , it is perfectly placed for Metro, bus or hop on hop off buses, so it is easy to get around Rome from here. The staff are helpful and cheerful , with everyone saying good morning or evening whenever they saw you . The room was comfortable with a firm mattress ( how we like it ) , air conditioning , shower over bath , fridge and safe in the room. The mini bar was cheap at 2 euro for a... Read more

We were quite pleased with this choice of hotel. The room was nice, small but very clean and pleasant. We had requested two beds with the reservation, and had to wait upon arrival for that accommodation. The breakfast in the upstairs dining room was a very enjoyable way to start each day. The location is really perfect, and we were very happy with several little restaurants nearby, recommended by the staff. Aside from the small glitch at the beginning, service was very good and we were very happ... Read more

Hotel was a great starting point for an adventure in Rome. Not far from the Trevi fountain it is down a fairly quiet side road. We walked to the vatican city, colosseum and everywhere from here as I think it is the best way to explore the city. The hotel room was very clean and on the top floor (6th floor) there is small balcony with excellent views of the city in the distance which inspires you to explore this beautiful city. The location was quite convenient and yet quiet. The staff are very polite and attentive. We were travelling with our two children and the room was a very nice size for 4 people - there was a drape that could be drawn between the two sections of the room which was a nice touch. There is a private spa that can be rented out for 15 Euro per room for an hour (if you have more than 2 people in the room there is an additional charge). I cannot say enough good things about the Barberini. We were traveling with a group of 15 family members - many children - we had 7 rooms the first night and 6 the next two nights including one "family room' Jr. suite which comfortably slept 2 adults and 3 children. The staff, especially Lucca, who was at the font desk when 15 tired people arrived, could not have been more accommodating. Typically stay in another hotel closer to the Spanish Steps when in Rome (we come every other year) but thought we'd give HB a try. Big mistake. We stayed 4 days in Rome, travelled to Amalfi coast for week, and came back to Rome for another three days. First room was great - nice size, 5th floor, balcony - but after flying overnight from US, we're told room was ready for us - yay - but for a 50e up charge... I asked why - snooty front desk gal said services. Ok - whatever. Then at lovely contine... Read more

Very nice hotel, great air conditioning! Rooms were decorated in a classic style, which was very nice for Rome. The hotel was very quiet which was also very nice. Some of the staff could have been friendlier and more helpful, not all of them, but some were quite awful!

Hotel Barberini made our stay in Rome a wonderful experience. We came back everyday to great service and a comfortable, clean room with air conditioning. The hotel was quiet and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. I arrived very tired after a long and sleepless flight from Australia. I was greeted by the very friendly and attentive Valentina who organised an early check in for me. I had to pay for that, but I didn't care. The room - on level 2 - was very very small, but it was decorated in such a lovely manner that I was still very happy. Great roomy bathroom though. Nice quiet room too with no street noise whatsoever. Perfect air conditioning which was needed as it was sooooo hot at the time. The break... Read more

My wife and I arrived before our room was ready and the front staff took care of our bags, shared with us places to visit while we waited for our room to open up. We had a wonderful time eating breakfast every morning in the roof top café area, the food was great. Our room was always clean and the front desk folks were so very helpful in giving us directions and setting up reservations for dinner. We would highly recommend the Barberini Hotel to travelers from around the world.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the modern amenities, breakfast in the terrace and the nicely sized bathroom with powerful shower. Great central spot to be - would definitely go back! Check out their spa rental in the basement after a long day walking and have dinner down the street at "that's amore" for a perfect evening.

My wife and I stayed here for 12 days with her Italian class from the U.S. The location was good, near the Barberini metro stop, across the street from the Palazzo Barberini and two blocks from the Quirinale Palace (the presidents residence) . This became one of my favorite Rome hotels after this visit. It's very small and friendly. The rooms are relatively spacious (for Rome) nicely decorated and very clean. Complimentary breakfast is brought to your room! And because i was leaving early for a flight they brought it up extra early without me having to ask! Alessandro at reception couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. I will definitely return when next in Rome.

A very friendly and clean hotel in a good location. Myself, my wife and our 2 children stayed there this week. Sincerely great staff. Reception especially helpful along with the breakfast team who were great. We had a suite, though as there were 4 of us the sofa was permanently made into a bed, so although the room space was reduced, it wasn't a big problem given the amount of time you actually spend in the room.
