We booked the Amalfi Hotel after the " luxury" Mycenate Palace one street over decided that we were not worthy enough to receive a response to our emails. We did not regret it. We found the Amalfi to be very accommodating and communicative. Not sure why an earlier reviewer had an issue with the CASH offer. It is quite simple. We had the same deal but we opted to take the 5% extra charge to pay with a credit card instead of carrying around close to 1000 euros. This worked very easily. We too aske... Read more

This hotel is in such a beautiful and prime location within Rome. Looking over to the left you can see Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore which is a huge (and beautiful church). Although the hotel is situated on a main road, the windows and doors are really thick so you can hardly hear anything. The staff are great. Super friendly and always smiling. One of the ladies in the breakfast area is absolutely adorable. She's such a sweetheart. If she feels you need feeding, she'll load up more f... Read more

We grabbed a few days in this lovely city to see the sights and was impressed with this small but friendly hotel situated right in the middle of the city. Just down the road from the railway station and in walking distance of some of the main sights. 20 minutes walking and we were standing in front of the Colosseum and the Palatine area, awesome! The Vatican City was just 10 minutes away on the Metro for only 1.5 Euro's. Public transport in Rome is amazing, regular and cheap (we could learn a lo... Read more

My husband and I stayed here during our 4 nights in Rome. The hotel is clearly family run and well run at that. We found the location very handy as we had to catch a train on the day we checked out, the station is a handy 10 minute walk from the hotel. We knew the rooms would be small, but we didn't quite realise how small. This wouldn't have been an issue if we were just staying for 4 nights and so had baggage to suit that, but we had 2 large cases as we were going onto another destination aft... Read more

We stayed here for nine nights. Yes the rooms are small but there is adequate space, as we are out all day and only want a place to sleep. The hotel is very clean, the staff super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great with plenty of food even after 9am. Close to Termini, walking distance to most attractions, plenty of little cafes close by that serve good food. Do not go to Antico Cafe in the Piazza, very expensive and not good food compared to others nearby. Very quiet in the rooms, can ... Read more

The rooms are small but have all the requirements that meets one's needs. The location is excellent as you do not have to walk or travel far to see the key sights. After a cruise, we stayed three nights at the Amalfi Hotel and we could not have been happier! We had booked an Airbnb but when we arrived there, we discovered that it did not have A/C. (Do NOT make the mistake of staying in Rome without A/C- it is HOT!) So, we cancelled the Airbnb and found the Amalfi Hotel. Thank goodness we did! It's in the Monti neighborhood, walking distance to everything. (Yes- we even walked all the way to the Vatican!) And great restaurants nearby. (We HIGHLY recommend ... Read more

Stayed for four nights in June, the hotel is in a great location, near the train station and within walking distance of all of rome's main attractions. Very friendly staff, the rooms are compact but have everything you need. Breakfast was good, a good range but the coffee machine was a pain, didn't matter which button you press, it would just be the same! Overall a good base camp for sightseeing.

Lovely little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Quite small but has everything you would need for a lovely City break in Rome. Set upon the top of a street filled with lovely little restaurants, bars and shops with the Coliseum being less than a ten minute stroll away. Not far from other tourist attractions with most places reachable on foot. If I returned to Rome I would definitely stay here again.

As the owner has stated previously this is an old building not a purpose built hotel. There are therefore obvious constraints that they have had to work within. The rooms aren't very large. The breakfast room can get busy for the same reason and the lift is tiny although for a hotel of this size to have one at all is a bonus. If you have the sense to overlook these issues then you will have a great vacation. The owner was excellent with helping us organise trips and booking tickets. The buffet b... Read more

This hotel was an easy walk from Termini station. The accommodations were lovely. Our favorite thing was the service of the staff. They were kind and went above and beyond. For example, we had to leave early in the morning before breakfast was served. We let them know the night before and they had sack breakfasts waiting for us when we checked out.
