I found this hotel using trip advisor, and glad I did. Great location..close to many excellent restaurants, shopping, and The Spanish Steps. While I am not an expert of this fine city, I would stay here again based on my interests.

Just back from a 4 night stay in this hotel and we weren't disappointed. We stayed in the deluxe double room and it had a quirky little terrace - big enough for a table and 2 chairs - which gave us amazing views of the surrounding roof tops! The furniture in the room is traditional rather than modern giving you the feel of Italy. Plenty hanging space as well as drawers and a dressing table. The bathroom was a decent size with large shower cubicle and power shower. Plenty mirrors good lighting o... Read more

Hotel Alexandra is in a great neighborhood and has excellent service; the location is within walking distance to many things to see and do. Upon our arrival, we discovered that there was a snafu with our reservation, but Carlo quickly found us a room at the hotel next door for the night and arranged for our luggage to be transferred back to Hotel Alexandra the next morning (all we had to do was leave our luggage in the reception area). When we checked in the next day, they delivered some champ... Read more

We did a two night stay and I must say we loved the location! Great area with immediate access to everything amazing that Roma has to offer! Staff was kind , courteous and friendly. Bed and breakfast was good and our room was very neat and clean. I would absolutely and will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Roma, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else ! Thank u so much to the staff at Hotel Alexandra for making our stay so memorable.

On the up side - Hotel Alexandra was a lovely hotel, in a great position for seeing all the main attractions which were in walking distance - breakfast was good, lots of variety. Our room was lovely, really clean, fresh towels everyday - however, on the down side - we requested twin beds for myself and my friend and upon arrival were told that they only had a double bed and if we wanted two single beds we would have to pay an extra ‚?¨30 each for a four night stay, so that was really annoying. Book this hotel on a friends recommendation and it didn't disappoint. It is located 30secs from Barberini metro and square and 5mins from Trevi fountain. Maybe 20 from coliseum and 30 from Vatican. All sites are pretty close to each other once you get your bearings. Hotel was more than we expected. Really clean. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was everything you required. Would stay again and recommend.

The hotel Alexandra is centrally located. Just across the street from the Museo e Cripta dei Frati Cappuccini with rooms of artistically place bone (yes, real bones). The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Carlos, who was very helpful during our three day stay, upgraded us when we arrived.

The hotel is located at the perfect spot: Via Veneto and Barbarini Fountain. Walking distance to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Lots of shops and restaurants all around. Most convenient of all - the Metro is right on the corner and you can get anywhere within minutes. Hotel Alexandra is old-world styled....must have been a very posh hotel in its time... yet has all the modern conveniences. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was quite large and 'ritzy'. Having a fridge and a tea kettle... Read more

This hotel has very good amenities and the price and location is great. Across from metro, across from Capuchin Crypt and beautiful church, good restaurants and gelato right outside hotel, walk to Pantheon, Spanish steps (currently under renovation) Trevi Fountain (like Rockefeller center, way too crowded and overrated) walk to Borghesi gardens, Hard Rock Cafe. (craving a burger after 4 days of same offerings on every menu at local places.) Short cab ride to Vatican and Ancient Rome. I was trav... Read more

Great location, very clean room and house keeping service. Language barrier with English clients is a problem and rooms need updating. bathrooms are extremely small so for anyone bigger than a size 10 you'll be touching the wall and knees to the sink while your on the toilet!

Liked this place more then any other hotels we were in Italy. Close to most of sightseeings. Breakfast is quite small in most of the hotels but here we had even tiramisu. Stuff is very nice. A lot of restaurants at the same street and around. Two buildings from Metro station.

We recently stayed here on the suggestion of Perillo Tours for 3 nights. We booked 2 rooms. One for my husband & I and the 2nd for our 3 children. Upon arrival the staff @ Hotel Alexandra was very nice. They even offered us an upgrade for the triple room because they felt bad that our luggage had been lost. We appreciated it and thanked them. The first evening we had no clothes to sleep in so I slept in a t-shirt and underwear. I felt cold from the air conditioning so I took out the blanket i... Read more

Took a quick trip to Rome in early June. Wow what a city. The experience was enhanced by staying at the Hotel Alexandra. Great location, maybe 100' from the Barberini metro stop. Great neighborhood & fairly short walks to most major tourist sites. Carlo & staff were top notch. Very decent breakfast's are included.

Recently spent 4 days here. We loved this hotel, the staff very all very helpful, friendly and polite. Our room was a good size and very comfy, we were lucky enough to have a little balcony, overlooking the back of the building, was very quiet, and somewhere we could get some washing dry! Lovely good sized bathroom. Room has a fridge and electric jug. Great location, surrounded by shops and cafes. Walking distance from lots of the famous sights. Friends liked this hotel so we booked on their advice. At the entrance is a long flight of stairs although hotel staff came to help us when they saw us trying to get luggage up the stairs. Our room was very nice and roomy although one had to take an elevator up, then a flight of stairs halfway down and another halfway up to get to the room. Our friends were waiting for us in the comfortable and roomy lobby. There is a computer with acceptable access (most of the other places we stayed had v... Read more

Recently spent 4 days in Rome, Italy and stayed in this quaint and lovely Hotel. The location was absolutely perfect as you could walk almost everywhere or catch the Hop-On/ Hop-Off Bus or subway in 1/2 block. Staff was amazing, especially Joseph who referred us to several wonderful restaurants while we were there. Rooms are very small but comfortable.

This hotel is well situated near a metro station, hop on bus, good restaurants and cafes, pharmacy and banks. Friendly staff and considering it is on a main road extremely quiet at night. The rooms are old fashioned which suits well with the atmosphere of the city.

Stayed here with family attending a wedding. All popular sites within walking distance and bus stop for tours only 2 min walk away. Had a small (but felt huge) shirt related emergency on the morning of the wedding but thanks to Joseph and the other staff it was resolved quickly. We had a fantastic holiday without complaint and I firmly believe the hotel and great staff played a huge part in that. Can't thank them enough. Will definitely be back.

Very happy with this hotel in regards to the staff, the location which is in a quiet and upmarket part of town very close to the metro and walking distance to most of the major sites and the breakfast which is a buffet with huge selection of teas/coffees/pastries eggs cheeses meats etc. The only reason I gave a lower rating is due to the rooms, ours was very cramped, nice view onto the street but very basic and small, poor decor and small grubby shower room made it feel more of a hostel room.Als... I booked a package trip with Thomson as a surprise trip for my wife's 40th. Thomson recommended this hotel and we were really pleased with it. There is a flight of steps up to the reception, so just be warned if you are elderly and have large suitcases. I'm [relatively] young and fit, so not a problem. In central Rome, hotel rooms (so I understand) are typically quite small. Ours had a nice sized bed, desk, small wardrobe and one of those foldy things to put your suitcase on. The bathroom had a...
