Currently staying here for 4 days and was dreading what I was coming to after reading everyone's reviews. This hotel is fine. Reception and communal hallways look good, Rooms were clean, we had hot water in the morning (not in the evening though), location is great and beds are comfy. Plus you get a breakfast included. Yes it's not the Ritz but I paid £57 for 3 nights so you wouldn't expect it to be.

Extremely basic room and hotel but the location was perfect (round the corner from the termini and we walked to all attractions in Rome) and the price was very cheap so you can't really complain. Love this city.

I just don't understand where all these negative reviews come from. After having a near death experience, you appreciate more the beauty of the city. At first you may only notice the toilette and think there is no shower. But, don't you worry! There is also a shower room. The hotel is also environmentally friendly. The water pressure at the shower is limited, as is the hot water. But there's no better way to start your day than a refreshing cold shower. The doors at the toilette and shower don... Read more

If you're booked in to go to Hotel Acropolis I suggest you cancel. This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There was not hot water so couldn't have a shower. Heating didn't come on till 7.30pm so room was freezing then when it did it wasn't very effective. Room was filthy carpet was stained over the entire room and threadbare. Walls were marked and looked like it hadn't been repainted for many years. No TV. Towels were like table clothes, not really towels. Breakfast was 2 c... Read more

When we got to the Hotel (in a GREAT location) the reception looked really nice... DO NOT BE FOOLED. When we got to our room I was unsure of who to call, the front desk or Ghostbusters: although I was unable to call anyone as the rooms don't have a phone. The rooms do however have stained carpets dirty walls and an awful smell - and those are the good bits! I understand that you get what you pay for however this place was a joke... we were moved to a slightly "cleaner room" but the smell remaine... Read more

The hotel is well located, near the Termini train station, which is good. The staff members are also polite. But that's pretty much it. Don't get fooled by the lobby! The room we stayed in had a hole on the door, dirty walls, gummy bears stuck on the ceiling, the fire detector was covered with tape, the floor was pretty sticky and the bathroom was just plain awful. The shower was tiny, and the shower curtain wasn't long enough so the whole bathroom floor would get wet after every shower. The bat... Read more

Okay, so there is no wifi in the rooms, the breakfast is limited and watch out for hotel tax to be paid per person per night on arrival that we weren't aware of. The rooms are very basic but clean enough. All it needs is a lick of paint, a wifi extender, towels that aren't paper thin and a shower curtain that actually prevents water from leaving the shower. The location is great! Walking distance to everything, all the sights and right near the termini. ( avoid the dodgy area north west from the... Read more

Arrived 15th Nov 2016, stayed 1 week (just). Reception is fine, staff are friendly, lift is straight out of the Bourne supremacy, breakfast does its job with nice tea, coffee, jam, butter and crusty rolls and the eating area is clean. The problem is with the rooms, we had a 3rd floor room (you are not spending anytime in these rooms unless asleep), it did have a decent view and clean sheets. Towels are an odd affair (tablecloths really and won't dry you so do take your own), soap, shampoo is pro... Read more

My wife booked a surprise trip to Rome for my 40th so when we arrived at the hotel we got the key to our room on the 3rd floor so up the tiny lift we went to find our room for a 3 nite stay we opened the door and let's just say the smell coming from the bathroom was not nice and the room was very dark with dark carpet curtains and bed clothes when we opened the curtains we could see the walls were filthy and you would not put a dog ?? in the room so my wife went to complain so we got another r...
