We went to the Fortyseven Hotel and love the location. It is in the center and near everything you need to see in Rome. What we really enjoyed is their beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Looks new and just renovated. We could enjoy the new trendy atmosphere with a stunning view over the historical Roman tempels, the synagoge and the Tiber river. The food was amazing as well as very kind service! We really recommend this unique and beautiful location! A must visit place!

I stayed here for three nights with my husband on our recent trip to Rome and loved it! I scoured TripAdvisor trying to pick the best hotel for our first stay in Rome and am so glad I settled on this one. The hotel was conveniently located to all of the sites we wanted to see, it was clean, reasonably priced, and the staff was very accommodating whenever we had questions about the area or needed suggestions. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had while staying in Italy, espec... Read more

The hotel is ideally located next to Marcellus' theater and close to the Capitole hill. The centre of Rome for attractions and shopping is just a walk away. For restaurants, you just cross the bridge over to the Trastevere area. Alina at the reception was very friendly and provided unique tips for a memorial visit of the Eternal city !

Really good position. Friendly staff. Excellent roof top restaurant, although the choice of food can be bettered in many places nearby. Friendly welcoming staff. Would recommend. Two of us in very comfortable room. Walking distance to most major sites. Walked along the Tibet after we arrived up to Castel St Angelou and back through the centre. No pool but steam room and sauna.

Centrally located on the Tiber across from la Bocca della verita, an easy stroll to the Pantheon, Forum and Trastevere restaurants. Spacious rooms and a lovely rooftop restaurant (check to confirm that it's open) and interior courtyard. Breakfast room and lobby are suitable for casual business meetings. Toiletries are exquisite. Attentive staff. A lovely stay.

Fortyseven Hotel is a modern looking hotel within blocks of all the major sites of ancient Rome. So, the location is great for tourists. The decor is modern. The room is adequate size. Some rooms supposedly have coffee makers and some do not. We asked on two different days to have a coffee maker. They said the only coffee makers they had were in already occupied rooms. So, don't count on the "coffee maker" they advertise. Breakfast is included. It's good, not great. (We have had bette... Read more

Arrived in Rome after 32 hours of travel. Travelling companion had the worst cold. His exact words were "I'm going to snap my crayons if I can't lie down soon". Needed to get him in a hotel stat. We were treated like Royalty. Hotel is beautiful, people were so friendly and caring, turned on the steam room at 11:00 pm. for him. Great little bar, beautiful art, called and told us they had extended our check out time because of aforementioned sick friend. Beautiful room and terrace overlooking the ... Read more

We had only one night in Rome before a cruise departure. We could not have been more pleased with Fortyseven Hotel. Not only are its facilities updated, modern, and clean, its staff was exemplary. Alina Manea and her associate Michela were attentive and helpful providers of information. They both spoke perfect English, and seemed genuinely interested in providing information to enhance our brief tour of the amazing city. I really liked this hotel. It is small and has a nice courtyard in the middle, as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant. I did not eat at the restaurant but had some drinks at the bar. The bar has a nice view of some of the Rome monuments, which are beautiful when lit up at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I got a free upgrade to my room. The room was modern and well appointed. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the forum and the unknown soldier memoria... Read more

I have stayed at the 47 for the previous 3 years appreciating the personable staff, accommodating service, breakfast, luxurious rooms including those with views as well as dining on the rooftop. My most recent stay I noticed a deterioration. #1: many of the best staff have left including Pietro. Luckily, there is still Floriana at the restaurant and Michela at the front desk. These two are the only two who get to know you, remember you, have a conversation with you and develop a relations... Read more

Very modern. Staff was nice. Didnt make it to the roof top bar due to the weather but i hear the view is excellent. Great location and if you can manage a view room, you've hit the jackpot. Rooms are very clean and modern. Breakfast is not bad either. Served in the lounge every morn. Would stay again for sure.

Hotel 47 location was my deciding factor -- walking distance to Colosseum and ancient sites, to good food and fun in Trastevere across the river. I did not expect such a high level of service from the staff -- this is a comfortable 4 star hotel with a 5+ star staff! The "front desk" of Stephania, Michaela, Julia and more gave us perfect directions and excellent advice and delicious restaurant input and reservations. Hotel 47 is not a stuffy 5 star hotel but rather a well-managed smaller boutique... Read more

As with all large cities, areas of Rome are noisy, crowded, and "touristy" - All things that we'd like to avoid when selecting a hotel. But, we wanted to be within walking distance of the sites (especially main archeological sites such as the Colosseum and Forum). We were only having 3 days in Rome and didn't want to waste even an hour traveling, when we could be actively enjoying the city. It took quite a while to determine the very best location for our needs....and then we booked and crossed ... Read more

We were looking for a four star hotel in Rome, away from the hoardes of tourists but still central to the major attractions. We found the perfect hotel at the 47. Ver comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and the perfect location. Breakfast was plentiful and the wait staff delightful. When we return to Rome we look forward to staying here again.

Never in my wildest dreams that I would find a gorgeous hotel in the heart of Rome! It is beautiful with all the modern conveniences and is in the best and safest location. My friends and I were very happy and satisfied with this hotel. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Our two-week vacation in the Amalfi coast definitely ended on a 3day/2 night stay here on a high note at the end of May. From Roma Termini, it only cost 15 euros for 5 passengers and 5 large suitcases in a taxi van. Ro... Read more

Great modern hotel in the centre of Rome. Rooms are clean and well maintained, with a mini bar but not all have coffee making facilities. There are no irons or ironing boards in the rooms but there is an ironing room you can use. The staff are friendly, the food is good (or at least the breakfast is), and the bar is pleasant in the evening. The location is good, within walking distance of all the main sites.

I spent four nights at Hotel Fortyseven prior to leaving Rome for my new job. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is well designed and rooms are comfy. The view of the city from the rooftop restaurant and bar is amazing. A group of us had dinner there last night and found the food to be excellent and service very professional. We were even provided with a free bottle of prosecco at the end of the meal. All in all a great experience. Thanks to all the staff.

The best thing is the location: you can walk and in no time be at Trastevere, quartiere ebraico, and, if you walk for 30' fontana di trevi. Rooms are nothing special, but comfy and clean. You don't want to spend time in the inner garden, it's a bit sad, but there is a breathtaking view form the terrace. Mind that you risk you life every time you try to cross the street on the way to circo massimo. Personnel are five star, and they sent over a dessert for my birthday.

We stayed in Rome for 3 nights on the first part of our Italy trip. The hotel itself is very nice, walking distance to plenty of landmarks. There are also plenty of buses that run along the same street as the hotel. The rooms were nice and spacious (for European standards), very clean and the bathroom shower was big with a huge shower head. Air conditioning also worked well which was great considering it was in the 90's the few days we were there. The breakfast was basic but enough options ... Read more

Our stay at the Fortyseven was outstanding. Our Deluxe room was spacious and bright with a large balcony. Bathroom was large, modern and clean. Lunch and dinner at the rooftop restaurant was excellent, very high quality food and well prepared. Staff were very warm and helpful. The hotel is lovely and in a great location. Nine in our family - three generations - all took off walking in different directions and all had a wonderful time. The younger ones made it to the Vatican,Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, all the major spots and we older generation ones walked to the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel with a group of 8 people. Located in the ruins near the ancient forum with a short walk to many attractions. Most nights we crossed the bridge to the local side and had some extremely cheap and beautiful meals. The rooftop bar is worth a visit and the buffet breakfast is fantastic. It also has a gym (extremely big for the hotel) and the wifi was great. If I ever visited Rome again I wouldn't look anywhere else to stay.
