I came to Italy on my anniversary, my husband booked this trip through AAA. We have been to three other hotels during out trip, first London for a stop over, then one in Venice and then Florence. All have been great! I did end up with bronchitis during this trip but saw a Dr and have been on the mend. A symptom of this diagnosis is dry coughing, which I was told to either take a steaming shower or drink hot tea. All of which I have been able to do since starting my trip. I get to this hotel and ... Read more

We were a group of five, with two rooms, one double and one triple. From the outset the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our rooms were fully equipped and comfortable. The night time face cream placed next to the turned down bed was a cute touch. I have to say that the breakfast was very good; pastries, cooked foods, fruits, cereals, breads, juices and unlimited pots of coffee & tea, they even remembered on the second morning that one of us liked cappuccino. This was great before a ... Read more

We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was excellent and had a large outdoor terrace with comfortable chairs and an umbrella - in the middle of Rome! Excellent bar in the main lobby and very good restaurant. The staff were great. We were there for four days but really got to know the staff while we were there. Highly recommended.

The hotel lobby was clean and comfortable. The staff were inviting. This hotel is centrally located and close to almost everything. The room was outdated with old carpeting, furniture that had scuffs and pain wore off, and topping it off was old mattresses. The bed had a dip in the middle from over use. I brought it up tot the staff and was assured it would be replaced and or corrected. When we came back they had place a mattress pad used for children who wet the bed. The breakfast was one of ... This was our first trip to Italy. Before we even walked through the front door, we were greeted by Jerry the bellhop. He made us feel extremely welcome. That set the tone of our entire 3 day stay before moving on to our next city. The hotel is clean, well maintained and comfortable. The staff is where they should be, in the hospitality business, as they are very hospitable. Even Flavia that works in the buffet styled breakfast area, was amazing. There was a provision to soft boil or hard ... Read more

We were a bit frayed when we arrived...the train stopped for only 4-5 minutes without any announcement at the first Rome terminal and when I got off it left with the rest of my family inside! So take this advice...the express train from Florence doesn't stop until Rome, but when it does stop, be READY to hop off! We had a transfer arranged to the hotel, which was quite lovely. Quiet, with great rooms (though the minibar and laundry were too high-priced). The breakfast ('till 11:00 am) was ju... Read more

My husband and I traveled to Italy in May and our first stop was in Rome. We spent 3 nights at the Borgononi and absolutely loved it! In fact, it was our favorite hotel of our trip. The room was small, but well appointed, very comfortable, and quite clean. The bathroom was lovely, clean, and large enough to use quite comfortably. The best part of our room for me was the private patio. It was beautiful and surrounded by honeysuckle bushes that smelled like heaven! There was a small table a... Read more

My husband and I traveled to Italy in May and our last stop was in Rome. We spent 4 nights at the Borgononi. The room was a little small, but well appointed, very comfortable, and quite clean. The bathroom was nice enough, clean, and large enough to use quite comfortably. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold foods. The food was tasty, and the dining area was well appointed for comfort and conversation. The wait staff was exceptionally attentive, couldn't ask... Read more

We are very pleased, the hotel was really great with their service, location and breakfast in a pleasent area. They also have a nice terrace to use. About five minutes walk from Fontana de Trevi, maybe twenty five minutes to Colloseum. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and we love to get back.

This hotel was a great find. The service was fantastic. The rooms were slightly small but very refined. The decor was elegant. I really enjoyed the complementary full breakfast buffet which was between 7-11 AM. It saved us money and the food was great, except the scrambled eggs were a little runny for my taste (but other people seemed to like them.) Every hotel employee that I encountered went out of their way to be both kind and helpful. The location was central and we were able to walk to... Read more

This hotel turned out to be a great find for a short stay in Rome. Superb location , walking distance to many places of interest. Lots of bars and restaurants near hotel. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Good European style breakfast. Room size and facilities good. Very quiet at night even though we were at front of hotel above the small side street. Would definitely recommend and come back here.

We found the hotel online and chose it because of its central location. We were only on the first floor and at first thought it might be noisy but the combination of shutters, blackout curtains etc made it quiet AND dark. Even more suprising when there are two bars opposite! The hotel is charming, as are the staff quite frankly. There is wifi in the lobby but very limited in the rooms. Rooms are on the small side but perfectly adequate and aircon works without a problem. Bar and restaurant s... Read more

This was a great small hotel for a quick stay in Rome. It is walking distance to the major attractions, located in a neighbor hood with great restaurants and bars. The rooms are smallest, but in Rome, you are not in your hotel room! This made a great base for our adventures in Rome. They had a good breakfast every day and were always extremely welcoming. I would go back to this hotel. Thank you for the great service. Ciao

This hotel is in an excellent location and the staff are pleasant .... HOWEVER ... Our booking confirmation was taken from us on checking in and only on our return home did we discover that we had been given a Classic Room instead of the Superior Room that we had booked and for which we paid 330 Euros per night B&B! There were no bathrobes, we had to ask for coffee-making facilities, the view from the window was of shabby buildings and cranes, the shower head was damaged (but was replaced on r... Read more

This hotel was right between the Trevi and Spanish Steps and 100 yards from the Via del Corso, which was very nice and convenient. We didn't really spend a lot of time picking this hotel since we didn't plan to be in the room much anyway. Check in was fast and the staff was very helpful and willing - they even had a nice bottle of champagne waiting in our room since it was our honeymoon. The room was clean. No view really to speak of. Stayed here for 4 days and it is excellently located. Close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. There are at least 7 restaurants within 200 yards and a couple of bars and bistros close by. Next door is a small supermarket( CO-OP) and they have everything from groceries to snacks. Another 100 feet past the supermarket is a pharmacy. The staff is excellent during the day but the night manager seems a gruff. There is a breakfast bar but if you like crisp bacon you'll pass this item for a sausage. ... Read more

Good sized room and reasonable bathroom with a small shower. On a quiet street but very close to Via del Corso, the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Breakfast buffet has a broad selection of breads, fruit etc. Cappuccino was good too. The hotel has a small terrace so you can sit in the sun. Main complaint was very unclear charges for the internet, you have to select a payment plan to log in, calls to the management confirmed that there was no charge. We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Rome, staying three nights at the Hotel Borgognoni. Set in a superb location, the hotel is on a small cobbled street, a short walk from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Via Corsa, several bars restaurants and a supermarket next door. Check in was very quick and we were allocated a good size room overlooking the street. Modern clean bathroom with bath, shower and a variety of toiletries. Good size room for Rome, comfortable beds, tiny shower chamber, dirty walls, stinky halls..had to have our sons room moved due to smell. Nice breakfast, frustrating internet. Perfect location to many spots in Rome, such as Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Barberini Piazza, wonderful little restaurants nearby and a market almost right next door that made the stay worth it! Needs a bit of updating.

A lovely hotel on a quaint cobblestone street within a ten minute walk of the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. Plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to. Grocery store steps away. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Nice bathroom and shower. Very quiet. Breakfast included in our stay was a nice buffet with great pastries and coffees and many other items. Cute bar and lounge area. Staff all very nice. Will stay here again.

The front desk and dining (breakfast) staff is exceptional. They are kind, caring and extremely helpful. The hotel location is also exceptional. It is 5 minutes away, just about midway between the "Piazza Di Spagna" and the Trevi fountain. You could not find a more central location. It is also located next door to a "super mercado" which means that affordable -non hotel- supplied of liquids is easy. The are also a couple of nice bars across the street. We loved the convenience of the location of this hotel. We had a king sized room connecting to a single that allowed our family of 4 to have lots of space, 2 bathrooms and still be connected. The lobby had lots of spaces to sit and free wifi (wifi is very limited in the rooms). There is also a small outdoor patio on the first floor if you are looking for a quiet space for an afternoon espresso. The location was as good as it gets! Perfectly located between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps with only a five-minute walk to either monument. Breakfast was very, very mediocre. Only one choice for cold cuts -- Ham. The bread selection was nothing special with plain butter croissants making a rare appearance or none at all! We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by the afternoon/evening manager. He wasn't particularly helpful. However, apart from him, every other single member of staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The location was excellent and the rooms were more than adequate for a central Rome hotel. When we first pulled up to the hotel I was a bit surprised . It was on a tiny little street that looks almost like a back alley . The building did not stand out from the other buildings on the block . However when we walked into the lobby I quickly saw the hotel's charm .
