Stayed at Casstello della Castelluccia for the weekend for a family wedding. It is the perfect place for relaxing, taking long walks and spending some nice time. It is a 20 minute car ride away from Rome.

A friend and I stayed in a 'delux' twin room for 3 nights. The exterior of the hotel is very attractive, the interior comes across a little more kitsch than luxury. All the rooms are unique. Our particular ground floor room cannot be described as cosy. The high ceilings, dark wood furniture, faux frescoes, stained glass windows, single 'four poster' beds, lack of practical storage and dark room dressing contributed to a quite austere atmosphere. The atmosphere is consistent with the reception an... Read more

The hotel is located a half-hour train ride from Leonardo Airport/Rome city center. The setting is rural, quiet and the rooms are comfortable - it applies to the whole atmosphere. Very good service from all employees who demonstrate great flexibility when required. Here the wish is that the customer has a pleasant and relaxing stay. Very romantic place we would like to come back to. Kitchen and wines must also have my compliments.

Excellent hotel to stay and relax, very close to Rome with a very nice environment. The view from the hotel terraces is fantastic... We had a tremendous time 3 weeks ago and virtually stayed in the hotel most of the time.... The restaurant was excellent, we had all our dinners there. Quality dishes, friendly service, excellent wine selection. The wine suggested to us by Antonio was perfect at reasonable price. We have never ever dinned in a hotel's restaurant for 3 consecutive evenings. We did ... Read more

My sister and I spent two nights at Costello Della Castelluccia and we loved every second of it. We left wishing that we had had just one more night so we could have spent more time exploring the grounds and enjoying the castle. The castle is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were perfect and spotlessly clean. There is nothing the staff wouldn't do to help ensure you had a great stay. We had a delicious well priced meal at the restaurant our first night and the complimentary breakfast was more ... Read more

We stayed here on our last evening in Italy. We had an early morning flight out of Rome. The people in the hotel were very nice. It really is a castle. It was a fun way to end the vacation. We ate at the restaurant and the food was really good. The spaghetti carbonara was amazing.

My wife and I stayed here in the final night of our honeymoon and it was perfect. We booked the tower room, the entire of the tower you see in the middle of the building. Wow, just wow! Safe to say, due to its age, there are plenty of stairs to walk up but that aside it was incredible. On the top of the tower was our own private terrace with stunning views. As long as you can deal with the stairs its a must! We ate here for lunch, dinner and breakfast the following morning. All meals were love... Read more

The castle is incredible, we had a great time and enjoyed the secluded countryside from the rooftop terrace. Wifi is speedy enough. Heritage beds and furniture are comfy, shower pressure strong, bathroom amenities superior. The staff were very courteous and helpful, all spoke English. Breakfast spread included a broad range of hot and cold, baked, dairy, eggs, and meats. The spa was relaxing, pool secluded and served by bar. We stayed one night in a 'romantic room', with beautiful and comfy bed, and clean bathroom. A/C worked well, the staff was kind, the breakfast on the terrace was relaxing and with a huge variety (cakes, cereals, yogurt, cured meat and Salami, Ham, scrambled and boiled eggs, juices, etc etc). We had some problems with Sky (it didn't work), but we didn't call the concierge (we didn't want to bother him at 11 pm), so it was our fault if it was not fixed. We recently had our wedding at the Castello. The whole occasion went perfectly. The staff were professional, and went out of their way to help us and our guests with the details. Surroundings an the Castello are beautiful, the food and drink excellent. Some of our guests who usually shun wine and prefer beer were taking pictures of the wine bottle labels to try to locate them later. It is also quite easy to travel there from central Rome, and the rooms are very comfortable. Quite simply, the... Read more

Let me first start off by saying everything has been excellent each time we have stayed here. We were married here in June 2015 and the staff consistently wowed our guests. I wanted to surprise my wife by staying one night and having dinner in the excellent restaurant here. We loved the food at the wedding and I thought she'd love the surprise. This trip unfortunately had very tight timelines and we were having plane issues in Brindisi. I was emailing back and forth with Eleonora at the castle... Read more

Had a very nice stay, a great place to recover from the long plane rides it took to get to Italy. The castle and the grounds are wonderful to wander around in. A great restaurant experience, a few of the dishes were just amazing (truffle pasta.... still thinking about that one). The one knock seems to be the internal logistics. The front desk folks were very nice, but some key information needs to be volunteered... We weren't told you could buy train tickets at the front desk, so when we ... Read more

If you're looking for a memorable experience, this small but very attractive castle may be the right place for you. The impressive medieval style gently mixes with modern comforts of everyday life. This well organized hotel, surrounded by picturesque trees and fountains, allows you to enjoy the best qualities that nature has to offer: peace, serenity and quiet. Polite staff, delicious food and very clean rooms are in my opinion it's biggest strengths. One of the best hotels I've ever seen: I... Read more

I've stayed here before and I'd go back again. I just love this place. This is truly a castle with charm and elegance and the rooms take you to another time (think Game of Thrones). The pool is the best I've encountered anywhere in Rome. The restaurant is OUTSTANDING. My Salad Nicoise was 7 euro and the same salad at the Waldorf was 28 euro. We spent the last night of our vacation in Italy at the Castello. The hotel is situated near Rome, but in quite a remote location. It is about 30-40 minutes from the airport (taxi can cost anywhere from Euro 65 to 100 from the airport) and about the same from the center of Rome (which you can reach by train, the hotel provides a shuttle to and from the train station or by taxi). It's difficult to believe that this Castello is literally on the edge of Rome's urban sprawl. Situated just away from some major motorway intersections that connect it with Fiumicino airport and the centre of Rome, it lies in a quiet rural oasis of its own, surrounded by rolling fields, woods and country lanes.
