The worst hotel I ever stayed in Europe! Impressive! It's dirty, without a good internet and with and awful breakfast. And, the most impressive, its expensive!!! I know that Rome is a difficult place to find a good hotel, but this is even worse than the average.

My family and I had the pleasure of recently staying at this hotel. We spent a great deal of time at the court yard as well as in the beautiful library. The building was several hundred years old with its own church and library within it. The library and church were stunning. The rooms were not as nice as the rest of the structure but still clean and comfortable. The rooms did smell a bit from people smoking which is not at all unusual in Europe. The windows opened freely so airing the room was... Read more

‚??Antico palazzo‚?? or a 16th century building needed of much better maintenance and a friendlier staff. And also they have to work a lot at the parking lot (to make it nicer and safer). The hotel character is given by a lovely courtyard, a unique church and a remarkable library (all great places to spend some time). On the other hand, rooms were not impressive and breakfast was only average in an overcrowded and noisy room. May be good for a short stay at the Santa Maria Maggiore church (or m... Read more

This antique hotel was quite ok, A 15th century beauty! Poor internet connection, but if you move to the great and intimate court yard on first floor-you will have it. Good location, near most sights for tourists. With a view to the street, you'll see the evangelists in full size scultures watching you from Santa Maggiore just across the street! The court yard served as an excellent meeting spot for a family like ours -having two rooms. The rooms were clean, the service ok, breakfasts ok if you a... Read more

We booked Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi Hotel for a 2 night stay in May. Upon arrival the hotel looked lovely, the front of house was friendly and all seemed to be going well‚?¶ We tried to check in and as we did he (receptionist) stated our room wasn‚??t ready, if we wouldn‚??t mind waiting for 10mins. That wasn‚??t a problem. He came back to us and said there is an issue with their water or a pipe that was in our room so they sent us to their "sister hotel" round the corner ‚?? Hotel Valle (horri... Read more

Had a three day break in Rome and the Antico is a great location just far enough out of Rome center for the restaurant prices to drop but near enough to either walk into Rome center nearest location the Colosseum or catch the metro. Hotel staff friendly and the hotel meeting area and internal garden great but the rooms a little tired but not enough to spoil a great short break.

Five girls, trip to Rome, two rooms - so split into a two and three. In both rooms there was one wardrobe with about 6 hangers. Not exactly enough for three girls in one room. It's an hotel of conflicting empathies this: on the one hand, really friendly staff who can't do enough to help. On the other, no bar - but a courtyard where you push a buzzer to summon the bellboy who takes half an hour to find you and take your order. The bedrooms have just about enough space, but then the bathrooms coul... Read more

The location is perfect if you want to travel to or from Rome by public transportation. The staff is friendly, fast and well organized. The breakfast is large even by scandinavian standards. The Huge Santa Maria Maggiore is a great landmark to this hotel.

Be aware that rooms are small due to this being a city hotel, but they are comfortable enough for a two/three night stay (my husband and I stayed for one night for our wedding anniversary.) Room was clean and well-prepared for our stay, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and in rooms. Purposely chose this hotel due to it only being a 5/10min walk from Termini train station which is the main station in Rome and so very easy to go and see all the sights. Staff speak English and are very polite & h... Read more

The hotel is in a perfect location. It is walking distance to the train station. This may be a task with lots of luggage but if you are up for it, it's about a 10 min walk or less. The church right across the street is beautiful and if you walk further down restaurants are all around you. A perk about this is that they are mostly ALL great! The staff is very accommodating and just down right helpful. They are always pleasant and wiling to help. I would love to stay here again! Rooms are kind of ... Read more

What a beautiful old hotel however its starting to date. No air conditioning. WiFi was sporadic. Most staff were helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The courtyard was refreshing and cool on hot days.1 small lift only went to level 1..closest to reception. Note... reception staff do not alert you about this and can be confusing when staying above level 1 hence i found a beautiful court yard and reading room.

I loved the atmosphere of this city centre hotel, conveniently close to Termini Station. We received a very warm welcome from staff and cases were carried to our room on arrival. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble and our room had a comfortable king sized bed with air conditioning too (An essential in August!) A lovely breakfast was included, there was plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this hotel to all city travellers.

We stayed here at short notice and thought that if we paid the upgrade for an executive room it would be a bit more luxurious. But no the first hotel receptionist was very helpful however that's were the hospitality stopped We had an extra bed in our room which we had to be asked to be moved There was no shower curtain or screen so you wet everything in the bathroom or sat down to shower The breakfast was stale and they put a notice in the rooms that you could have a drink on the terrace fro... Great location. The rooms were a good size but a little jaded. The breakfast really disappointed. Little choice. Poor quality food except for the fresh croissants. The coffee in the urn was weak and when I asked the waiter for a fresh coffee from the machine his mannerisms made us feel like we were asking for a favour and the coffee still did not arrive! Overall I would recommend this hotel but they need to look at the breakfast service.

Excellent location! Rooms decent, but bathrooms small and not much room to move around. People were nice and helpful. The air conditioning did not work correctly and did have it check and they said it was working fine, but it wasn't and they said there was nothing more they could do. But it was cooler in the lobby than in my room. If I ever come back to Rome I would consider staying there again.
