We loved staying here. We had a one bedroom suite with a living room and kitchenette (which we never used except to keep the water cold). The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was great, the wifi was a little spotty but still acceptable, the pool was nice, and there was a little bar/lunch available during the day. The best thing though was the location. A 15 minute walk through Borghese park took us to the Piazza de Popolo or directly to the Spanish steps, right in the centre of the action.... Read more

After a couple of small hotel rooms on this trip, we were taken aback by the size of the 2-floor apartment (106). Clean, quiet, comfortable, somewhat dated but all in good condition and with character. Rooms on the ground floor (we had 105 on our second weekend) are a bit dark, but that's not a big issue. A swimming pool is a big plus, especially with kids. The weather didn't cooperate very well, but we managed to get a refreshing swim and some sun on the terrace. Villa Borgese park is 2-3 minut... The hotel rooms are spacious, swimming pool is excellent, it's located near a large park and tube stop is at the bottom of the hill. It's not in the centre of town but we valued the spacious rooms, small kitchen area and swimming pool. Very useful after a day exploring Rome.

Stayed 6 days and enjoyed each day. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complete and well presented. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Tram stops are within 100 feet of the front door make getting to all the "must see" places easy. We would definitely stay here again.

The entire staff of Aldrovandi is very helpful and kind ! - Breakfast is extensive and very fresh, ranging from bacon to fruit and bread/croissants! - Swimming pool was the reason why we choose this hotel and it was more than satisfying! The cocktail-bar is a nice addition and the pool-guy does an excellent job! The water is very fresh and clean as is the entire swimming-pool area! -The rooms were very clean and have new floors in them. Definitely worth coming back!!

This Hotel was just ideal for us as a small family visiting Rome. Our 24 year old son joined us for this trip - so the suite we had was great to suit our needs. Staff very friendly & helpful - especially to do with trams that stop out side the front of the Hotel. Suite was spacious, with two rooms, bathroom & small kitchenette area. Park nearby + good restaurants. Breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice. A wonderful hotel. Di, Baz & Ross.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at end of May and it was fantastic. We had a suite for the same price elsewhere in Rome you would have received a poky room. We overlooked the Biopark Zoo and could see the zebra and antelope walking about and the vultures and Eagles?? in their aviaries across the street. The tram No3 is just outside the door which connects to everything in Rome and the No19 takes you just outside the Vatican walls...what more can you want....the pool is clean and large enou... We stayed at the residence for 7 nights. There is truly nothing bad to say about it. Everything was so perfect! The residence is located next to one of the most beautiful parcs of Rome. A 10/15min walk through it, takes you to the the Piazza del Popolo and the city centre. The room was huge! The bed is very comfortable, which is great after a long day of walking through the city. Not to mention to pool.. We even received a bottle of wine as a welcoming gift! The staff is super friendly and thoug... Read more

We stayed 5nights. The hotel is on the top of the Borghese park in a stylish residential area. Quit and with surrounding trees a nice atmosphere in comparison to the hot city. The rooms are big and well equipped. The pool is lovely but opens only at 10. Before you are not even allowed to go in the garden and you need to have breakfast in a warm and damp breakfast room.

We (a family of 4 adults and two teenagers) spent 5 days in this amazing hotel in Rome. The hotel is situated outside the centre of Rome but with easy access by bus, tram or underground to the centre of town. We are a family of orthodox Jews so it was very important to us to be able to have easy access to self catering facilites and the facilities in our delightful suites enabled us to have just that. The service in the hotel was truly fantanstic and all the staff went out of their way to as... Read more

The location is excellent, just 5 minutes from an amazing Borghese-park. In the hotel there is a very nice pool area, enough sun beds. The senior suite was big enough to fit 3 people easily. However, there was no room balcany at least in the suite nr 301, and the shower was not working very well. If there is something to improve, the breakfast room facilities and service was not up to the level of front desk. We were also missing more variety of lunch dishes in the pool side restaurant. On my last day in Italy I stayed in this wonderful residence. I was impressed by the size of the room and how nice it was. The pool was magnificent and a welcome break after traveling all day. The toilet was hard to flush as I had to lift the top of the tank every time I needed to flush and the hotel driver never showed up to take us to the airport at 7 am so the front desk clerk had to scramble to find us a taxi, tense but everything worked out. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for 7 nights recently. The reason we chose it was two-fold. 1: It had a pool (Which seems rare for most hotels in Rome) 2: It was near to the main tourist sites with easy access to trams & buses. 15 mins walk to Piazza Del Popolo and the Spanish Steps through the Villa Borghese Park. 15-20min tram ride to the Colisseum and approx. 25min tram ride to Vatican City. The rooms are huge with very lovely furnishings. The bathroom was very small but still served it purpose. Breakfast was enjoyable offering a good selection. Alas, our last day again in Rome, so we treated ourselves to one of the very few ones with a pool. And the good news is that the pool is actually larger and more beautiful than the pictures (also on TA) show. Which brings me to the question which this unique asset is not maximized. Opening hours 10-19:30h... Whoever came up with that idea? Especially a morning swim, or enjoying a refreshing evening swim after a hot day in Rome, what a missed opportunity...!
