Now if you want a place in the centre of the city, close to the Trevi and the Pantheon you cant go wrong by staying here. the rooms are comfortable, prices reasonable but not cheap (a tip is to book directly with the hotel rather than online book sites), friendly staff, a good breakfast and (did I say it already ?) a great location. The rooftop restaurant offers a hearty and healthy breakfast where you can dine inside or al fuori. Piazza Navona is a short walk away and the Colosseum is within ... Read more

This was a tricky review... On the one hand this hotel really needs a facelift. Our bathroom was circa 1970... Peeling paint from the shower frame and it all looked very tired .... On the other hand the staff were excellent and the roof top terrace was more 4 star than 3 star and the breakfast could not be faulted. The real big benefit (as other reviewers have mentioned ) is the location. During our stay we visited all the real hotspots (it was my 4th visit to Rome over the past 10 years but m... Read more

The room was modest but had all we needed, clean comfortable bed, shower etc. Good roof terrace for breakfast and drinks in the evening. The location is very good, almost equidistant from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and within walking distance of most of the main tourist sites in Rome. We walked everywhere and did not need public transport. The star of the show was the concierge Tomasso. He was brilliant. We stayed in two rooms as we went to Capri in the middle and really appreciated the location of this hotel as we were able to race around and see as much as possible in our limited time. The first room no 43 was a good size and clean with obviously very expensive furnishings when new - and yes perhaps an upgrade is needed but value wise this hotel can't be beaten when you count the cost of the excellent free breakfast. We stayed here for 2 nights prior to our cruise. The hotel staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great. The room was very spacious and clean. You can't beat the view from their roof top bar. The most important thing about this hotel is the location. Literally a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and in the opposite direction the Trevi Fountain. A bit farther away but still walkable (and I have a bad knee) was the Forum and Colliseum. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

We arrived at this small boutique hotel very early in the morning. We had just flown overnight and were tired, but determined to make it to St. Peters Square for mass with Pope Francis. We were greeted, our bags stowed, given a delicious breakfast on the roof top dining area, and pointed in the right direction to head to the square. But I was looking for something affordable and centrally located and this seemed to fit my requirements. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It was exactly what I was looking for. The Cesari, where we have stayed 6 times over the last 15 years, is my favorite "2nd home in Rome". They have continually improved this hotel, adding a beautiful rooftop deck, and updating many rooms. The front desk personnel are helpful, knowledgeable and charming. It is a 5 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It is right next to the beautiful and historically important Piazza Pietra..

You can't ask for a better location for sightseeing. Close to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Novana. Great roof top area for breakfast or drinks later in the day. Room was a decent size for Europe with comfortable beds and very clean. The room does need a bit of a update, very tired, Peeling wallpaper and paint (rm 26 BIS) Found the staff to be pleasant and very helpful.
