We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Albani Roma. In northeast east part of Rome by Borghesi Gardens. We took metro bus to Ancient City for 1.5 euros and about 20 minutes. About a 30 minute walk there according to a fellow traveler we met while awaiting entry to Colosseum. Do not skip the hotel's free breakfast; it was delicious and filling. We did not eat at the restaurant other than breakfast. The accommodations were nice. King bed, large bathroom, plenty of storage. Staff very helpful with di... Read more

The hotel was booked by my travel agent during a road trip through Italy. The location was awfully . You had to walk 35 minutes to reach metro station, the buses were also far and incovinient and we had to take always a taxi. I had a single room. My god I had never stayed in my life in such a small room. Perhaps 9 square meter? Very small bed, ancient TV, no place for the suitcase, I left it on the floor. The hotel had modern design and my room was pink and green like a nursery school . Breakfa... Read more

The Albani Hitel was in a convenient, safe location with easy bus access to all of Rome's sights. The cab fare to Vatican was 12.50 Euros. There were 2 housekeepers cleaning room and changing linens daily, at convenient times. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a shower, easy to use. Large sink, good for washing personal items. The a/c worked and controls in every room. The free wi-fi was great and easy access in rooms with passwords changing weekly. The check-in staff gives... Location. Seems to be very far out but after 4 days we figured out the buses. Get a map and turn out of the hotel and right to get the bus into the city. To come back you get the bus that comes along Margherita which is at the other end of the street (left out of the hotel) and a 5 minute walk. Room Room was large, clean and modern. No complaints Reception. Ladies were lovely , guys were sullen.Thats quite normal in city hotels. Food The hotel has a nice wee bar which is a bit expensive but... Read more

We booked the hotel after a lot of research into where to stay in Rome and the Albani Roma seemed perfect for us. We arrived and were checked in promptly around 1:30 and the porters helped us with our luggage. The room was very clean (I work within the holiday industry and have managed a housekeeping department so have high standards), I could not fault the cleanliness of this room and with maid service through the week it was immaculate. We had a safe, fresh towels and toiletries provided but... Read more

This was perfect for me as I wanted a clean, safe place to stay by myself. I didn't need breakfast or any add-ons so I'm really just going by the room for the night. The room was clean, spacious and in very good condition. Decor perhaps not to my taste, but comfortable. Bathroom was clean to a very high standard and also very well maintained. A fair walk to the Spanish Steps as required, but hardly an unpleasant walk! I had a very peaceful nights sleep, wake up call as requested, and a lovel... Read more

I stayed @ the Albani on June 2016 for a work trip during 2 weeks. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Nice bathroom with tub. Air conditioning and wifi worked very good. Nice people, helpfull staff. The breakfast was OK, though I´ve had better. Only thing I would propose to the hotel manager is to change the room keys for cards.

We stayed at the Hotel Albani as part of a group tour. Our first impression of the hotel was a good one, nice and clean, well taken care of, and a decent size room for a European hotel, which tend to be smaller than American hotels. One desk clerk assisted us with booking a separate tour to Pompeii. Another one gave us directions to sites we wanted to visit, explaining which trains/buses to take. There was only one desk clerk that seemed to be put out when we asked for assistance. While the hote... Read more

Great hotel is great value for a money. It is situated in a quite beautiful area with opportunity to get fast to the central station by bus or taxi. Also you can have approximately 20 min walk. Surroundings are nice, the area is clean comparably to the center. The atmosphere in the hotel is ideal for relaxing after hectic day in Rome. Rooms are cosy and clean. Beds are comfortable. We stayed three nights and were very happy with the room and the hotel in general. Parking can be a challenge if the hotel garage is full so plan for this.consider bringing a wifi extender as the signal was pretty weak and it continually would disconnect. Breakfast was OK and about PAR for European hotels. Definitely a great value and highly recommended.

Wifi had low speed and it was hard to watch a youtube clip. We booked four nights as a city break. Arrived at 10 pm and were promptly served. Room on the 5th floor was very clean and modern. The location is a little distance away from the main tourist attractions but if you like to walk and explore the surroundings then its fine. The bar staff were very prompt and polite as were the desk staff. An overall very pleasant experience.

The cleaning serves was perfect. We had some noises one night from the next door, you would have this in case of late people, since corridors were a bit tight at some parts. My trip to Italy ended with one night stay at the hotel, which I booked after reading the reviews. I was disappointed though, the person at the reception was very rude to talk and was not looking in a mood to answer my questions. Wifi was very poor, and when I left in the morning I asked the reason. The receptionist said that it maybe because many persons may be using it at the same time, which was hard to believe because I was trying to use it at 4 in the morning. We checked in late and tired, and was pleased to have a balcony room. They suggested a late night dining spot, and it was highly welcomed, however - when we went to bed - our air conditioner dripped all night. We stayed a total of 4 nights, and the a/c NEVER cooled our room. When I told the front desk, they said some guests complained about being too cold, and that they had turned it off. We were later told that since our room faced east, it got warmer, and while they offered to moves us to ... Read more

We did a group tour through Globus tours and this was the first hotel on our visit. After seeing and hearing so many stories about how small and "quaint" the hotels in Italy are, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The one drawback were the streets are so tight here, we had to walk a couple of blocks to catch our bus each time we went out. And it really wasn't within walking distance of any of the major historic attractions. But you could walk to a... Read more

This hotel was well placed for our four-day trip to Rome, close to the Villa Borghese Gardens and a mile's walk to Flaminio (which we wanted). Clean, modern room with all the facilities we need. BUT the restaurant was "for groups only". I mean, REALLY, how can you run a hotel of this size with no restaurant?

The Hotel Albani is a OK hotel. in a quiet area, but quite a few resturaunts within walking distance. This seems to be a hotel that tour operators use, so breakfast is quite good, not outstanding. Male staff are quite offhand and sometimes rude, but the girls are helpful and very pleasant. Bar area is quiet, and rarely anyone there. Overall quite a comfortable hotel.

This is a big hotel with quite good service as you expect to receive. Positive: large rooms, large hall. Out of the touristic packed areas but still at a 30 minutes walkable distance from the Quirinale area and touristic attractions. Negative: no restaurants, expensive drinks at the bar. Bathrooms would need a refresh. Our window was on the road side and was noisy from 7 in the morning when cars start passing by.
