Stayed there over a weekend. This hotel is on the east Suburbs of Rome about 20 minutes by car (which we rented) to the centre of Rome. Check in was fast and so was Check out although I was not too happy with the fact that you cannot get IHG award points unless you book directly through their site and since I had booked using I didnt get any points) The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and the bathroom decently sized. Some of the fittings of the rooms need fixing but nothi... Read more

Used this hotel as a base for a one night stay for a business meeting in Rome. It is far away from the center and this explains the reasonable rate. However, typically Holiday Inn Express is for business travelers or at least they are in the US. They are meant to be simple, comfortable and designed for a quick visit. You know this going into it and this is what you expect. This one is designed for tour bus package groups. First, I have no problem getting around by public transport a... Read more

it was a great stay in this hotel you need to take into consideration that this hotel is a budget hotel expree in all manners rooms food and size but convenient because of tast breakfast and clen rooms very helpful staff at the reception nearby super market you can buy everything short walk to get the bus station or the tram station but nice to walk in this area

The hotel did not look impressive, neither did the neighbourhood. But it was all deceptive, for our good. The hotel is located probably a good 10-15 miles from Roma Central train station. The tram takes about 20-25 mins to the place and its another 10 mins walk from the tram station to the hotel. We found that quite acceptable actually. They have a van which if booked early enough ferries guests to the nearest metro station, so that can save you significant amount of time. For a holiday inn e... Read more

This is a pretty standard Holiday Inn Express with friendly staff and comfortable rooms, but I wouldn't stay here again, it's just too far from the centre. It's a ten minute walk from the tram stop which I wouldn't normally mind but when you're walking around Rome all day in the heat it's just too much, and means you can't really enjoy Rome at night either. Unless you stay out all sweaty and tired. Oh...and the wifi strength is rubbish.

I had business nearby so stayed in this hotel. It has nice rooms, nice breakfast, lots of tourists and friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it as a place to stay to anyone. if you're in Rome as a tourist though, I think that you will need to evaluate transport options.

Another nice stay at this hotel. Despite being far from center, this hotel was next to a shopping center. Room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful. It is 10 min. walk from tram stop, but its not a problem in winter season.

I visited Rome last week and stayed in this hotel with my husband and baby for four nights. Basically it is a nice hotel but there are some pluses and some minuses. Pluses are it was clean, the staff was very helpful and spoke English, rooms were comfortable (they even gave us a separate crib for the baby), breakfast was nice (but monotonous) and a large supermarket just behind the building. The minuses are it was too far from city center (one has to walk more than 1 km to get to a tram station ... Read more

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Once checked in room key did not work, second room key took several attempts each and every time we entered the room The room itself was just okay The shower didnt drain and room didn't cool properly and toilet was stained and Internet was intermittent. Breakfast was free for a reason .... Don't bother .Taxi to town is between 50-60 euros even though the front desk will tell you 20 Shuttle to train twice a day and never on time They told us 600 meters to... Read more

Really Holiday Inn Express Rome-east is a good hotel with no bad surprises!! We spent one night on , cleanliness is a must , functionality too , free internet and a fine breakfast for a very good price and a cool and friendly staff. Auchan Hypermarket is near , 10 mns from Rome city center and 45 to the airport I consider it a very good bargain.

Remote location, nothing much besides it except a supermarket, neither is it close to the airport, city center or the metro. The only saving grace is a gelato place called black ice next to it. It is a quiet place without a likeable ambiance

We stayed here for 3 nights whilst touring Italy. Check in was smoothly done by the efficient and personable Costanzo. The room was a good size, with a large shower room but a bit basic. No safe or fridge. There was a flat screen TV with international channels, air con and a good wifi signal. There is no restaurant at the hotel for an evening meal but several are in walking distance. We tried Scaramouche and Rosso Margarita, both were very good. While the metro is a bit too far to walk too, the ... Read more

We stayed at the hotel one night before entering Rome for 3 nights more. The hotel is clean, buffet breakfast rich and tasty,AC, WI FI free and functioned all the time. Free local calls, TV 32 inch, some newpapers,a kattle in the room. A car is a must.Price for 2 (BB) about 70 Euros.

Very far from everything. 30 minutes tram to Rome and you have to depend on the hotel van at only two available times to take you to the Metro station for an additional cost. Taxi charges extra to pick-up at the hotel. Hotel lies about 10 min to Rome on site....dont be fooled. A few of the staff very rude and unflexible.....

Very simple place. There is no locker or refrigerator at the bedroom. The breakfast is too simple, we expectad more for a Holiday Inn. Only one computer at the reception hall. The bed is good. There is no shampoo nor conditioner.

I am aware that the location of this HIE is way off - that it takes you more than 30 minutes travel to Rome. And I am also aware of the standard of rooms for HIE - same as in any city. But internet access really bad - I can't even upload / post 2 photos in FB. They really need to improve their internet speed. Location - at least there is a supermarket next door. Restaurant - we didn't find any. They should also consider adding more shuttle services - at least to the nearest Metro station.

The hotel advertises it has Air conditioning in all rooms but was told that the system works but it has been centrally switched off as its cold outside. If I feel hot open the windows. Every room had its own temperature control system so if I want to use the AC or not should be my option. I choose Holiday Inn Express for its standards and claims to be 4 star but seriously speaking it's not even a 2 star. I had my 5 year old son who didn't sleep as was so hot and stuffy in the night as if u opene... Read more

The hotel has great accommodations, big and nice rooms (no closet, though), friendly staff and delicious breakfast. However, it is very far from the center or any place worth visiting (15 minutes by walk to tram plus 45 minutes by tram to Termini). The long trips to the center made it impossible to come back and rest in the middle of the day and were rather inconvenient. There's a huge supermarket (and other stores) next to the hotel, which is also a plus.

The hotel is a little far from the actual city-center, where all the fun is located. However, this place is situated in a quiet neighborhood, so it's quite nice and peaceful. Around the area there is a big supermarket within walking distance, which is great! It cost around 25ish Euros to get back from the city center late at night by cab. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable it's not a luxury hotel but it's decent. We enjoyed the breakfast selection. The coffee was good, the nutella... Read more

We have stayed at this hotel back in 2009 when it has just opened. I have to say i was surprised how well the hotel is maintained, it still seems like a brand new hotel ! We were able to park free of charge in the outside parking. The first change we've noticed was that they no longer run a free shuttle to the metro stop. Instead, we have decided to take a short 10 minutes walk to the tram stop nr. 14, which took us to central Rome in 25 minutes. Breakfast was FANTASTIC, we loved it, and it kept... Read more
