We spent a wonderful 4 days in Rome arriving on 28th January 2017. The hotel was ideally placed for using the metro, about a 5 minute walk. We purchased a 48 hour metro ticket for 12.50 euros and used it to its full advantage. A visit to the Vatican on the Sunday was the highlight and on the last Sunday of the month entry to the museums and the Sistene Chapel is free. We joined the queue around 08.00 am and gained entry about 09.30 am and made the most of the day, leaving the visit of St Peters ... Read more

My husband and I stayed at hotel Villafranca for 3 nights. Our hotel room was small and kind of gross. There were stains on the carpet and on the fabric walls. The mattress was hard and thin, minimal blankets were provided, and the pillows were about an inch thick and hard. Also, we required a staff member to change the setting on our heating/cooling system since our room was freezing and only cold air was blowing. Once fixed, the room temperature was fine. Overall,it was a relatively uncomforta... Read more

Our first experience with front desk staff was excellent. We arrived very tired and my husband was unwell. Having informed the staff, we were extremely grateful for a complimentary tray of snack food brought up to our room and a hot water jug for a cup of tea. There was no electric jug in our room at that time, however we were provided with one on request the next day. Our room was quite cramped and had an unpleasant view into the middle of the complex. The water pipe was outside our window and ... Read more

We have stayed here possibly six times. You are a few blocks from Termini and various metro stations and busses. There are good restaurants nearby such as Florians. The rooms are smallish but very clean and well maintained. They have a good breakfast and the front desk will help you out with any issue. When I am tired and jet lagged I like a reliable hotel that I can count on.

This hotel is near Rome Terminal Central, a short taxi ride or easy walk. It is clean, beds are comfortable and the wifi is good. The breakfast is good, offering good coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt etc. The hotel is above average, the area is good for moving about in Rome and appears to be safe. The train ride into central terminal from FCO is approximately 15 Euros per person, making it easy to get to and from the airport. Not a bad choice if you are searching for a decent place to... After reading recent TripAdvisor reviews we were apprehensive about staying here. The reviews about choosing a room were extremely helpful. We received a renovated room with wood floors, a nice size bathroom, and although the mattress was relatively hard, it was not lumpy and we had no problem sleeping. The breakfast was fine although I would expect a 4 star hotel in Italy to have freshly brewed coffee and not machine dispersed coffee, There was a nice selection of rolls and pastries. House k... Friendly staff, small but nice and cozy rooms, standard hotel breakfast with huge range of croissants and delightful Italian coffee. Price is relative small regarding to the location and standard. You can access half of the city by metro (station is 50m from the entrance). I cannot tell any bad thing.

Wifey and I stayed here for 3 nights because it was part of a package. There is no way I would myself chose this hotel to stay at. The room for our stay was really poorly maintained, the entry door looked like someone tried to kick it in at one time, the shower rood drooped like it was going to fall off, the shower was almost a whole in the ground, the shower curtain hung right on the floor. In fact there was only 1 curtain, there should have been two. The first time we took showers the water we... Read more

Stayed here in August for 2 nights while passing through Rome. The foyer area was very nice and given the cost paid for the stay was more impressive than I expected. The room was very nice also and clean and tidy. I had a large room balcony also which was very nice. It is a 5min walk from the main train station but a little further to many of the main tourist attractions but not too far if you don't mind walking. Would definitely recommend this hotel, certainly good value for money.

The reception area is bright and modern, but our room wasn't. Having said that we only slept there and were out all day. We had a small balcony and our bathroom was big with a bath and shower. Oddly only 4 hangers provided?? It's in a great location near the metro and station. We walked in to see the main sites one day. Close by are lots of reasonably priced bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very good with a great selection. I would stay here again.
