Very small rooms which look 50 years old (bathroom is even worse). The reception staff makes you feel as if they are doing you a favour by answering your questions. Do not recommend this hotel to anybody (especially with family). The hotel offers no amenities. Buffet breakfast is decent but the breakfast room is too small.

Stayed here twice and will never stay here again. First time around, shower took ten minutes to heat up and the water wasn't even hot. Second time around, the toilet wouldn't flush. Staff are condescending at best. I was ignored when I asked for a taxi to be called and was lectured when I inquired about coffee and lectured by the same woman again when my colleague and I inquired about a room key not working. Free wifi, but it's either awesome or absolutely terrible. Rating 2 stars because you c... Read more

Stayed here three nights (not consecutive) with a tour group. The first two nights we were on the 4th floor and had a very tiny room. The bathroom was almost bigger than the bedroom! TV reception was poor but that didn't matter so much. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The shower was okay but went all over the floor so we had to use the towels to mop it up! Also, the water had a funny smell and taste The breakfast in the morning was a typical Italian breakfast. The third t... Read more

Hotel Villafranca is conveniently located near termini train station and some major tourist sites. However it is very poor in quality and not a four star by any stretch of the imagination. The hotel has poor quality wi-fi the rooms are pretty dingy. The beds do not even have comforters they have only sheets. The breakfast buffet was pretty awful if you don't get the hot food when they first bring it out it will be cold. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed villafranca for a week. Location is good close to termini and metro station. Good restaurants next street over. Free breakfast which was not great. Staff were not friendly or helpful. Would I stay here again maybe only for the price.

Very clean and spacious room (standard one) and helpful staf. Located very close to the Termini station and between the two metro lines (walking distance). The area has good restaurants and it is a good choise for not very touristic night out. We will come back soon.

It was such a bad hotel. I would never call it a 4* hotel. The lobby was beautiful but it seems that they just stopped spending money, when they got to the elevators and stairs. There were no light on the stairs in the day time, I almost feel down from them, since I couldn't see where I was going in the dark. The room was very bad, there was this very very sweet smell in the room (couldn't sleep in it, so we had to open the window), the bathroom was something I would expect at a 2* hotel- not a ... Grand entrance and reception but rooms are serious need of a revamp. Having said that we find that when traveling we spend so little time in our room that we would rather spend our money on other things. The staff are really obliging and offer lots of help and advice. So any little restaurants very nearby and easy transport within quick reach. Loved it.

Ordinary hotel, said it was Best Western, but could not find any sign of it. Stayed with 3 friends, had our room next to eachother. When we were in the bathroom the walls was either paperthin or maybe the airvalve was the cause, but we could communicate with our friends in the bathroom in the other room just as if they were standing next to us. So be aware of that. Rooms felt old, and there was poor lighting inside. Our AC didnt work as it should, and I could not figure out the Safe mechanisms, ... Read more

My family and I were for 2 days as part of our trip to Rome. The location is great it is very close to the Termini Railway station so it is quite convenient. The reception was quite modern! The room wasnâ??t the biggest room, and breakfast wasnâ??t really a large spread, but it was fine if you are here for a city break and just want to be out and about in Rome. The reception desk staff helped us out so much to plan our day and we are really grateful to them for everything they helped us with.

I found that is was a decent hotel. The room was small and they air conditioner kept turning off so it got pretty hot in the room at times, until I got up in the middle of the night to run the AC back on. The television remote didn't work, but we were barley in the room to really care. The hotel breakfast is not bad and there are some decent restaurants in the area. The hotel was only 10 minutes from Termini Station and the wifi works great, which is a plus.

First of all, I just notice that the hotel was 4 star but tasted 1 star. The room was super small, the bed were harder than rock and small. Further, in order to take a shower, I need to do yoga due to the small size of the bathrooms. They never give us the water, so I should buy the water near hotel. One more things, there is a city tax that we should pay per person. It cost arround 8 euro / person.

Hotel is ideally located near the train terminal. Rooms are ok but bathroom are very small. Staff is cooperative. Recommended for travellers looking for muslim halal food as there are many options near the station

I stayed here while visiting Rome with my family. My wife and I wanted a hotel near Termini, and for that purpose this was perfectly located. It is easy to get around from here. The lobby was fantastic and the rooms were alright. It is a bit cramped up in the rooms and they seem quite dated. The breakfast was strictly average but at the price point at which we booked the hotel every thing was good value for money. Close to the railway station, friendly receptionists/staff, clean room + bathroom.... Read more

We went to Rome in June to celebrate our anniversary and we stayed in hotel villafranca. The hotel was in a prime location only 10 minutes walk from a major train/ bus station which has links to all the main tourist destinations. The hotel itself was very good, breakfast was included and had everything you would expect in an European hotel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The reception area is bright and modern, but our room wasn't. Having said that we only slept there and were out all day. We had a small balcony and our bathroom was big with a bath and shower. Oddly only 4 hangers provided?? It's in a great location near the metro and station. We walked in to see the main sites one day. Close by are lots of reasonably priced bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very good with a great selection. I would stay here again.

I stayed with my family. I selected a king size bed and a single size bed. However there were 3 single size beds in the room and there was a bedside lamp in the middle of bed. The room has been changed but there was a bug in new room !! and nobody compensated for it !!

Stayed here in August for 2 nights while passing through Rome. The foyer area was very nice and given the cost paid for the stay was more impressive than I expected. The room was very nice also and clean and tidy. I had a large room balcony also which was very nice. It is a 5min walk from the main train station but a little further to many of the main tourist attractions but not too far if you don't mind walking. Would definitely recommend this hotel, certainly good value for money.

We stayed here just for one night in Rome on our honeymoon. It is very close to a Metro station which is great for site seeing. The front desk gave fantastic restaurant recommendations in the area. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety, and the rooms with a balcony are very cute!

This hotel was well priced, and certainly not bad. It wasn't great,...but not bad. The room was a decent size, although my friends room was tiny and they were next door to each other. The bed was hard as rocks, but at least not lumpy. The shower took some maneuvering, and the bathroom had no counter space at all. The lighting was bad, but the place wasn't spooky. It was clean. Just overall very basic. The breakfast was decent, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt and Italian sweets. Customer service was d... Read more

Only spent two nights here and that was enough. The Rooms were very small and stuffy. I had to wait at the desk whilst one of the reception staff finished with his phone call for about 20 minutes...not impressed. The breakfast was ordinary. You pay for what you get. Price-wise if you want to see Rome and you are on a budget...then go for it.
