Stayed for 5 nights. Unfortunately, several of our original plans had changed due to unforeseen medical issues- instead of 6 of us divided into 3 suites, we were down to 4 of us. No time to cancel and rearrange booking, so we were just keeping the reservations as planned. Difficult to get that across when checking in, but staff managed to get everything straight and without delay. Not even one block from Roma termini station. Great for day train trips. This hotel carries a lot of history. There is lovely marble and authentic Italian style for decor. The room was smaller, and dusty. The bathroom european style with bidet, but be prepared they are not large rooms or bathrooms. That is American standards. The dining area was clean and well suited to the hotel. The service was excellent and they were very helpful. There are little shops and pizzerias within walking distance. Most tv channels are in Italian, but are you in Italy to watch tv?

Close to termini roma. The hotel s an old style but with steal. I recommend the roof top bar where you have a fantastic view on the vaticano and room city center. Especially in the night is fantastic. Bar open till 1.00 am Breakfast is ok, but very strange that starts at 6.30am before no chance to get a coffee. So at 6.15 ca 20 foreigners + 20 chinese are waiting for the breakfast..... This can not be in a hotel like that.

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in late May 2016 at this hotel. The front desk service was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. We loved the outdoor bar on the rooftop in the early evenings but never found the indoor bar down in the main part of the lobby floor to be attended. The breakfast buffet was quite good and there are lots of restaurants in the immediate area. We were happy to be so close to the Rome termini train station so we could hop right... Read more

This hotel is very central, close to Termini and Maria Maggiore. It is clean and neat. Roomservice is very polite and helpful. However the staff at the front desk spoils the good impression. To me they were unpolite and rude at check-in and check-out. Same when I had a question to ask. This is certainly a big minus in a hotel which is fine apart from this.

I loved this hotel. The rooms are not bad at all, the service is warm and they have amazing Wifi. The rooftop bar is pretty awesome as well. It's centrally located to so many great restaurants and the train stations. I have stayed in the worst of the worst and also the best of the best and this one is above the middle area. I would recommend this place for sure.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the beginning of our two week tour of Italy. The hotel was located in a great area, the staff were all very helpful, and the lobby was beautiful. Our room, however, was disappointing. The carpeting was old and stained, it was small, and the furnishings were old. All in all, considering the price, we expected better. The breakfast was a bit of a let down as well...the "hot" food was invariably cold, every morning. We didn't let it spoil our stay in Rome, wh... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Mediterraneo as part of a group tour for two nights of lodging in the heart of Rome. I was not sad to depart this hotel as the experience was a far cry from what one might hope to find. Most notably breakfast daily and dinner on one evening left a lot to be desired. The range of items on the breakfast buffet lacked appeal or interest and were clearly not appetizing. For example while other hotels visited provided generous trays of freshly cut fruit, pasties and breads ou... Read more
