We loved our 4 night stay at the art hotel. It was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was also perfect. It was a short walk to the beach and shops however the walk was lovely to get there and you get to see what Positano has to offer. There are also lots of restaurants around the corner and down the hill. Would stay again. Thanks Tony and team

Lovely sea views, local bus stop at the door, very clean & airy, perfectly fine buffet breakfast, good local wine selection, wifi,TV very good selection of channels, firm bed.....A small drawback..because the floors are tiled & the furniture is iron,it makes a hell of a noise when dragged across the room above...laundry service during the week...a laundromat is about 300 metres up the hill..very good staff

Loved our 4 days here! Far enough away from the beach but an easy 15 minute walk down there. Beautiful views and big, big balconies in the spa suites especially. Room more like an apartment in size. Very clean and very pleasant to stay in. Shower a tad small but ok. All the staff speak English and were all very helpful and friendly, especially the gorgeous Alvera, the fantastic cook there! This was not my favorite hotel. The view was stunning and the front desk staff were helpful and knowledgable but the rest of the experience was lacking. The breakfast was not delicious. The breakfast staff were neither helpful or friendly, our room on the first floor was noisy, and two different days our room was not made up til after 3:30. The location was good but I would never choose this hotel a second time

The hotel is very close to all the shops and restaurants. Services are minimal but with all the beauty of Positano around you spending time in the room is not a priority. You will be very happy with the rooms.

We spent four nights at Hotel Pasitea and found the room to be pleasant, roomy and clean. The view was amazing, looking out over the sea. We had a first floor room right above the lobby. It was quiet despite being above the road. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff, who were very helpful and engaging. They pointed us in the right direction to find the best food in town and also helped arrange for transportation to the airport at the end of our trip. They were always friendly in greet... Read more

This hotel was perfect for our stay last December. We arrived late in the evening and was so hungry... your manager told us where to go ... just down the road, to a restaurant where we had a lovely meal. Our drive from Rome Airport on our rental car took us a while to get to Positano. Next morning we woke up to the amazing view from our balcony (see photo). Afterall, we did want to visit Positano to see the unique hillside landscape with all the houses built on the slopes! Guest-rooms were ... Read more

Great spot for couples, families and friends. We stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it. We had a room with a nice balcony that fit two beach chairs and a small table with two chairs. It was perfect! The staff was super helpful and made great dinner recommendations. The hotel also suggested a cooking class which was one of the best nights we experienced. Can't say enough great things!

the rooms are lovely if they are facing the sea. They have very large patios. The 4th floor has two flights to walk up to. Not our favorite room. we transferred to the 3rd floor. Enso, Jimmy & Tony are on the front desk and they were very helpful with suggestions of restaurants and sightseeing. we were in Positano 15 years ago. Enjoyed our stay this time just as much. We were in room 34. Although the room was fairly basic with very little drawer space and quite small, it was clean and the bathroom was a good size with a great shower. The balcony was superb, with 2 chairs and 2 sun loungers and a view so beautiful it almost took your breath away. Keeping in mind that Positano is built into the hillside, the hotel was in a good location with shops and a number of restaurants nearby, but it is more than 300 steps down to the centre of Positano and therefore more... Great hotel, excellent service from the front desk. Tony made some great recommendations for restaurants - Il Firnillo and La Tagliata. The hotel was beautiful and loved the art work. Breakfast was much better than other European hotels we have stayed in. Beautiful view from room 40, which is where we stayed. Spa bath was wonderful. Shower is a bit tight but manageable. The balcony area is small - room with terrace is a better option for ppl who don't care for a bathtub /jacuzzi in their room.

We had the suite because we were traveling with 2 children. Great space and an even better view. The staff is amazing and the bar cafe was great. The young lady that works there would make the food every night and it looked amazing... we were just never there for food. Not a five star hotel due to the overall age but definitely one of the best options with a view for the price. Would go back in a heart beat.

This hotel has a beautiful view. The only thing I have to say is that we just came from 6 nights in Sicily with an even better view, more space, a pool overlooking the water and a fitness center for the same price. I'm sure it's because of the different locations. I probably would not choose this hotel again, however the staff was very nice and had great recommendations for restaurants. You cannot get a better located hotel in positano with spacious rooms and balcony. Excellent place super staff and clean big rooms. It is located on the top of the cliff over looking the vast positano town and sea. The view is breathtaking. The breakfast was also good with a decent spread. The hotel does not have a swimming pool but why do you need one when there is a vast sea. Tip if you are self driving then car parking is an issue and the parking in positano is over the roof.

Important to note we visited the hotel in 2010 (had to click on 2015 by default). The hotel is quite the boutique hotel, sitting high up the hill above the town. Parking is a problem in that they park the cars half way down the hill. Getting into town to shop is easier done by getting a taxi. The rooms are nice and clean. We had a shared patio which gave us incredible views of the bay. The restaurant there is amazing and worthwhile eating in.

Pros: great location with a bus stop right at the door, sea views with nice terraces. Cons: inadequate WIFI - it was confusingly structured and infuriating to use; our towels and cups didn't get refreshed when the room was made-up - so that was a little bit of a let-down too. Things started off well - we parked our car in front of the hotel and reception informed us it would be collected and taken to parking down the street. Downhill from there: 1) The chairs in the lobby are stiff and uncomfortable so you can only perch on them when waiting for the rain to stop. 2) Our room's white walls had black marks all over and looked like a battered dorm room. The shower had lots of mould. 3) Wifi problems in our room all 3 days of our stay. The wifi in the lobby went on th... Read more

Very friendly helpful staff. The rooms are adequate. Though the hot breakfast offerings were marginal the cakes and breads made by Elvy were delicious! Hotel location is close to the bus stop and the stunning balcony views incredible. We had 3 in a room and our 1st room had a tiny balcony so the next day they offered a smaller room but larger balcony sitting area.

We are staying at the Art Hotel, we have a room overlooking the sea and it is a small boutique hotel with balconies and wonderful views. The hotel is located next to the bus stop, so you can easily get to any where in the village of Positano. But taking all the windy little stairs and paths to the center and beach are the most fun. The breakfast at Art Hotel is very adequate and the pastries are made fresh and daily by Elvy. Her banana cake, lemon cake were to die for. They also have the fresh f... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. We have a lovely room that had an amazing view from the balcony. Rooms are pretty simple but clean and comfortable, We loved the quirky look and feel of the hotel, with art and mozaics decorating some of the walls and areas inside the hotel. The breakfast probably wasn't anything spectacular given the cost of it. The front desk and hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We parked our car in the nearby car park which was very easy and we had door t... Read more

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Positano Art Hotel. I am still smiling. This hotel has a fantastic staff. Friendly and helpful. The location was amazing. A walk down the hill or steps down to the beach. Wonderful restaurants nearby. Bus stop in front. We had a room with a balcony and the views were to die for! The room was modern, clean and the bed was comfortable. Only downer was that the room was a bit warn and could have use a painting. Breakfast was marvelous. It was a... Read more

Last week we spent 4 nights at this hotel. I have never visited Italy before and my trip began in Positano and I could not have been more delighted. From Enzo and Tony at the front desk to Elvy in the restaurant area, the staff was great!!! Special note, Elvy was a delightful treat with her attitude toward service, the way she made you feel at home and the fact that she is just one of those cute special people that you want to meet when in a foreign country. The entire staff was great. The m... Read more

Excellent experience. Offered a free upgrade because it was our honeymoon. Room was very clean and large. Front desk was extremely kind and helpfully. Tony at the front desk made the experience that much better. He set us up with 4 amazing restaurants. A great driver that took us on a wine tour. Extremely nice. Would stay here again if we return to positano.

this hotel is very clean. the lobby and breakfast area is gorgeous. the room I was in was a little small, however ,I understand most rooms are. I had a lovely view of the ocean and a little terrace. room was air-conditioned and beds were comfortable. be prepared to walk 20 minutes down to the main beach area. however, when you are travelling, walking is the least issue, you're there to explore anyway. friendly staff loved it

We had a wonderful stay with an amazing view and the sound of the sea. The staff was friendly and helpful; they recommended the restaurant Fornillo for dinner, which was perfect. The breakfast had fresh pastries, delicious coffee, and the typical Italian complimentary fare. We would love to come back.

A stunning view from the balcony, nice room, friendly staff. Excellent cakes and pastries on breakfast. Positano was quite closed at the time, but two good open restaurants close to the hotel. Car parking was organized, with extra payment, but there are no free parking places anywhere in Positano.
