We stayed here while touring in Sicily with Gate 1 Travel. We had a large bedroom and bath with tub/shower combination. While the bath had double sinks there was little shelf space. NO in room coffee maker but it did have a hair dryer. Free Wi-Fi. The hotel is close to shops/restaurants and pedestrian streets. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast selection was large and even offered cannolis and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Comperig to the price, comfort, localisation to B&B offer in Plermo Mercure is very good choise. There was no problem with parking Before we moved to the hotel we spent one night in B&B which was nice and highly evaluated but rooms was to small, cold and dark. Breakfast could be better. Recommend.

Very clean. Free WIFI, there are computers available in lobby. There is a lobby bar. Very nice breakfast area. This was also part of our Trafalgar Best of Italy and Sicily tour. We felt very safe walking around and found a café to sit and have a coffee at.

The only complaint and reason I would not stay at that hotel again is because the unbearable street noise you ear from the room. The hotel's website feature "soundproof rooms" was that a joke?! We heard noise all night from traffic, people yelling in the street and barking dogs from next building balconies. Too bad cause the hotel was very nice and so was the staff. better sealed windows would do it.

Spacious room and bathroom. I agree with other customers who mentioned the hotel being noisy. It's true. The workspace is not very effective with chairs that are more appealing to the eye but not functional nor comfortable. Air conditioning works offering comfort. All in all Ok 4 star hotel also because of curteous staff.

Basic Mercure fare. Modern buiding. Very clean, comfortable room. Centrally located but quiet. You aren't going to want to spend hours hanging out here (but that would be sad in a city so full of amazing sights - all withing walking distance - some 10 mins some 30). Ticks all the boxes for a place to lay your head at a decent price.

Day one of our Siciluan tour. At arrival booked Mercure for one night. The hotel is located in the centre of Palermo. Reception staff was very nice, attentive and polite. The room is a no thrill room yet confortable. Bathroom amenities were ok but shower power very low and air con was weak. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, good coffee and juice. Recommended for a stop over only.

Clearly this hotel is in need of a big time update. From start to finish of our 2 night stay there as part of a tour group it was clear this was not my father's hotel. Decor in the lobby is as new as it gets and appeared recently redone. And from there be prepared for tight quarters in your room, views limited to anything other than what may be appealing. The rooms we saw and stayed in were carpeted with a dark dingy industrial carpeting. Room to move around was at best limited as was the furni... Read more

Room, breakfast all fine, just the airco a bit weak, overall very pleasant stay in a good central location in Palermo, a wonderful city with amazing architecture, food en friendly people. The hotel had bad coffee for breakfast but otherwise it was fine and comfortable

We spent a few days at the Mercure Palermo Centro at the beginning of a Sicily vacation, and we found it to be terrific place from which to explore, with comfortable and clean rooms. The staff was knowledgeable and cheerful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is a few blocks from the Teatro Massimo. It was easy to walk to historical and cultural sites and just to explore the neighborhood.

On a 3 night visit during our Sicily trip. 20 minute walk from the main station and 30 minutes bus ride from Bondi beach / PMO airport. Ideal for a city trip or enjoying delicious food from surrounding restaurants. Our Superior room was large, clean & splendid. Tea/coffee kettle was missing in room but was supplied on request to reception. Air-con did a good job inspite of outside 40+ degrees keeping the room pleasantly cool. Certainly our choice of stay when visiting Palermo again.

We stayed at this hotel in mid-July which is very hot. One of the criteria we looked for in a hotel is air-conditioning. But our expectation was not met. The air-con didn't work properly. Only weak air blew out of the air-con (not cool air). We have adjusted the temp control even to 10 degree but nothing has changed. The air-con is located near the door which is at the opposite side of the beds. So it was impossible for us to feel that weak wind blow from the mulfunctioned air-con. We called the... Read more

Hotel has a good location in the center of the city. Rooms are comfortable, some with bacon. Breakfast is satisfactory, with the lack of local products. Staff is very helpful. The hotel can be recommended for the accommodation in Palermo.

Nice clean place for couples. The rooms and bathrooms are always cleaned and towels replaced... and it seems they change the sheets and pillow cases everyday too. However, the wall seem thin as I can hear the flushing and showering either next door or above! But no talking it possible that I have quiet sensible neighbors which is a good thing. The beds and pillows are on the hard side ( I normally get back ache on bad beds but I didn't here so I guess that's a plus). Nevertheless, breakfast come... Read more
