City centre hotel that does rooms and breakfasts. Room comfortable and everything worked once we'd sussed the heating. Breakfast better than OK but not memorable - our tour group gave a sense of comparison with Sicilian hotels and it did well. Excellent position and very easy to get out and about for evening meals. Staff friendly and helpful, though the huge keys meant that you were forever handing them over at reception and then asking for them back.

Room was ok and bathroom adequate. No public areas. Breakfast room cramped. Bar never open except for when we arrived and we were offered half a glass of the cheapest white wine possible as a welcome drink.. We were part of a Saga tour.

The people were so nice, friendly! Centrally located in the centro of Palermo, a walk from many world heritage sites. They offered directions, maps, friendly faces! I felt so comfortable and safe! I lost my tablet, the police found it, and Hotel Garibaldi went out of their way to connect me to the police station to recover my tablet. I can't say enough for their guidance, concern and grace! And the breakfast! Eggs, bacon vienna sausage, pastries, cereal yogurt juices any type of coffee. Eve... Read more

Four of us stayed here for 5 nights in November 2016. I can only repeat the positives: great value, centrally located hotel. We had adjacent rooms on the 4th floor and whilst there was no view, the rooms were spacious as were the bathrooms. Have stayed in some hotels where the main bedroom was smaller area wise than the bathroom, so it obviously depends on what room you get allocated. The main room was spacious and clean and well kept by the service staff (thank you). I thought the breakfast w... Read more

Hotel Garibaldi is a good hotel in the middle of Palermo! Its near all the tourist attractions and you can do everything bt foot. Its near a pretty busy road so also during night there will be some noise of cars etc. I think this is normal for hotels in big cities. Breakfast was good and also the staff very helpfull.

We stayed for three nights in this charming city centre hotel as part of a SAGA tour of Sicily. The hotel is ideally located for exploring the many sights of Palermo. Our room was rather dated but clean and quiet, overlooking a side street with little traffic. Although the bathroom was a bit cramped it was very clean with all the usual accessories. Our bedroom incorporated a Juliet balcony which was south facing; ideal for relaxing after a long day sightseeing. Rather unusually for Italian hotel... Read more

Normally I would only rate this hotel with 3 stars but being located in the very heart of Palermo it would be very difficult to find better accommodation for sight seeing in this city. The bedroom was of an adequate size for a three night stay whilst the en suite shower room was a generous size. Our bedroom was located at the side of the hotel and therefore somewhat dull although quite considering its location. Although the hotel does provide a limited breakfast selection there is no restaura... Read more

We stayed here for three nights a perfect length of time for our visit and a perfect location for exploring this baroque city capital of Sicily. Our room was OK and was clean and quiet but with no view. The bathroom was a bit cramped though. To our joy there was a kettle and having taken our Yorkshire teabags were able to savour a real cup of tea for the first time on our tour of Sicily. Breakfast was proved to be the best of our trip we had plenty of choice that even included fried eggs and gri... Read more

OK for the money if you get it cheap. Positioned well, just OK only in any other way Slack management allows for things which put one off. Reception staff can't do all when desk gets busy...young man multitasks with two phones, one enquiry and still manages to touch his man parts as Italian men often do. A good manager would notice: Breakfast Kiwi fruit going bad, day after day same yucky kiwifruit in the bowl. No fresh fruit cut up.....peaches are cheap in the market..but nothing but oranges a... We stayed in this hotel as part of a tour group, maybe I'm being cynical but due to the hotel having a contract with the tour company they know there will be rooms occupied and maybe the assumption is that touring groups really only need a bed (definitely not true if our experience is anything to go by) the rooms allocated lack views, are in a noisy part of the building and are just basic, these boxes all ticked of in this case. The location is good, the rooms are clean, wifi works, breakfast ju... Read more
