Someone else referred to the area around the hotel as apocalyptic and they were spot on! My husband and I walked around the block our first afternoon there and that was last time we went anywhere by foot. We couldn't seem to get a cab at the hotel and the front desk referred us to Osvaldo (old guy in the lobby) for tours. When my husband inquired at the front desk about getting some information for tours/tour companies, they insisted we use this guy to take us to Pompeii. We felt pressured into... Read more

The hotel is great - a calm oasis from the chaos outside the doors. Ok, so some of the décor needs to be tidied up, but it certainly didn't affect our stay. Our room was a good size, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom was great. The food is very good although portions are rather small, but well priced. The staff here are fabulous - particularly Luca and Alessia - all so friendly and welcoming with plenty of knowledge to share about places to visit and how to get there. ... Read more

Having been to Italy over 6 times previously as a solo traveller I recently stayed at the Ramada on a country wide trip I have just completed. I had only been once before and that was to Pompeii on a day trip. Sat in my Rome hotel reading negative reviews of the Ramada I began to seriously question the wisdom of staying there. I have been all over the world on my own but this sounded like a set from the book of Eli movie. How glad I am I didn't take notice and went regardless. The hotel is fanta... Read more

We stayed in three hotels during our time in the Bay of Naples. This one was not outstanding, but it was the best by far. Comfortable and clean. I would imagine it was designed to cater for business travellers, but it suited us (couple, late 20s) just fine. The decor was a little dated. Wifi was a little intermittent.

We had booked for three nights and when we landed , it was nearly 11 pm in the night , we were travelling for nearly 24 hours . Ramada did not have our details and since we already had a confirmation , they had to accommodate us . They gave us a very small room , a far cry from the original room which we had booked with a promise to upgrade in the next two days . They were very sweet of course and very apologetic . We did get a better room on day 2 and 3 . The hotel location is next to train ... Read more

I read reviews about the area being rough and it is a little but mostly the streets are just dirty. Lots of trash which is not the fault of Ramada but you feel uneasy walking around too much. Wi-Fi not good. Constantly had to struggle with connection on my Iphone6. Breakfast buffet is fairly good. Not a lot of restaurants in the area. Had a problem with our commode but I've had a problem at my house with a commode. It happens. I had to stay on them a little but the staff was very nice and fixed ... Read more

It is supposed te be a four-star (actually the price per room meets criteria) hotel and may have been at the beginning. Large, old-fashioned rooms; uncomfortable pillows. One bottle of water on arrival. Don't expect to have a drink in a bar after 11 pm even if they say: "...bar, which is open until late..."- it was closed on Friday evening at 11 pm. My husband had a room booked for 4 nights and I came with him- I paid 33 euro per night additionally- it' ok. But after I checked out in the mornin... Read more

We booked hotel Ramada last minute and were not sure about its location. But as it is a reputed chain we thought of trying it. We drove from Rome to Naples which was pretty good drive as people scared us about the bad drivers in region of Naples. But anyways hotel had a parking garage which was right next to the hotel. And also metro line connecting different cities was right opposite to the hotel.. We booked the family room as we were travelling with our kids, which was pretty big and beautiful... Read more

Firstly the location of the hotel was not good. you can only get train station nearby. they don't even put your luggage from the main door to the reception area . We have to take our luggage ourselves to the room with kids. Don't go to this hotel if you have kids.

Average room, clean, staff friendly and helpful, Valerie on reception extremely helpful, and Anton in resturant. Breakfast good. Near main railway station - on the wrong side. Parking in garage next door available.

Stayed for 2 nights due to visit Pompei and Capri. The hotel is centrally located near the train station, the staff doing a great job, very welcoming and helpful.But...... the noise from the main road is terrible, and you can sleep if you are very- very tired. So if you are planing to visit Pompei- the train is opposite, and the port for Capri is a few stops by metro.

staff were friendly and helpful at reception however breakfast staff seemed to be in a rush and made us feel we needed to eat and leave Asap. .. the room was very old fashioned in need of a revamp beds were not that comfy .. not sure why it would be a 4 star maybe more of a 3 but seeing other hotels in Naples this one seemed to be one of the better ones.

This hotel is absolutely a great choice its very close to termini and the staff is very friendly. They let me do early check in and this is a great asset after a long trip. They have very big rooms that they are very clean. It's very close to the metro station where you can go anywhere in the city. The breakfast is just amazing with a great variety. I would prefer having longer open the bar at night but it's ok. Free WiFi and fast. Clean towels and big bathroom with big bathtube

Stayed here for one night as a stop over for our flight to Dubrovnik. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. We had dinner in the hotel and it was nice. Slight limited choice but the food was tasty and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful. There is also room service with a variety of choices of different foods and drinks, again, at very reasonable prices.

My wife and I stopped at the Ramada, Naples for 3 nights in mid June. After being concerned about being in the train station area i shouldnt have bothered worrying as its a great location for transport to all the other 'nicer' areas of the city and to Vesuvius and Pompeii! The hotel itself is very close to both the Metro (underground) and also the Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. The room we stayed in was very modern and well decorated with plenty of space and a very comfy double bed. It had al... Read more

My group was billeted here by the nearby Star Terminus hotel (after it had given away our confirmed bookings to someone else). The Ramada is very pleasant though not luxurious. The breakfast, dining room and bar are very good. Service, value and cleanliness were all also very good (but for this review the TripAdvisor software wouldn't for some reason let me allocate them a star-rating). Although the surroundings look less than salubrious, the location is actually pretty convenient, being... Read more

The hotel is 4 minutes from Napoli Centrale train station. That's the good news. The views over the tracks and noises are strictly for train aficionado, however. The room is nice enough. Clean sheets with only one with holes in it over our week. The wallpaper is a bit tired, but the staff is quite nice. I wish the a/c was turned a bit lower. Sure it is cooler than outside, but it is not cool enough to sleep under the sheets. Close to all transport, it is a viable option, however.

We visited Italy to see David Gilmour playing in Pompeii & used Naples as a base for 2 nights before travelling to Pompeii. On arrival from the airport it's worth researching how you are going to get into the city as there is no specific train link. The best cost effective way is by bus. As you walk out of arrivals you have to look for signs with 3 symbols they show a plane a bus & a pedestrian in different colours. Follow them as they direct you to a bus stop that will take you into the city fo... Read more

If you're planning to stay near central station, this is it. Very convenient location ,neat and clean rooms with great buffet breakfast. It's right across the road from Naples Circumvesuviana Train. Which takes you to Pompeii and Sorrento .

I cannot praise this hotel and its staff high enough. I was travelling alone 22-25 july and stayed for 3 nights got a free upgrade to a superior room. I was on Half board. The breakfast are fantastic plenty of choice no matter what nationality you are. The evening meals are great as well, I am allergic to garlic so had a little problem at first but found that the staff in the restaurant were bending over backwards to help me eat something pleasant during my stay. I have to give a huge shout out ... Read more

The are around the hotel is very bad. There is a sense of relief after entering the hotel. Location is excellent as it's stone's throw away from the Naples central railway station. Room service is good although the options are limited. Breakfast has a lot of options.
