Bland from the outside, and not a particularly inviting lobby (staff friendly and efficient, though), but the room more than made up for that first impression. It was extemely spacious, tastefully furnished, and the bed was huge and soft. The balcony overlooking Naples was great, the bathroom underwhelming for an Italian 4* hotel ‚?? could do with some updating. Despite Napels not be that attractive as a city (comparing to Rome, Florence, Siena and others), this is a very good 4* star hotel : centrally located, short walking distance from Toledo metro stain ... less than 3 stops and you're at Napoli Central Station. Good refurbished rooms, quite area and fantastic bar at 9th floor. You can oversee the whole city. Staff very friendly. What could you expect more ?

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. Bedroom décor lovely, bathroom good but attention to workmanship a little shoddy however all very nice and clean. The roof top bar was our little place of heaven to escape the bustling crowds and noise of Naples. Excellently situated straight out of the hotel and you are amongst the shops. Hotel staff were always very friendly and polite. My only complaint was one morning for breakfast at around 9:00am there were no clean tables, very little on off... Read more

We went to Napoli at the end of April and the beginning of May in Naples (Italy, not California!) because the Italians say "vedi Napoli poi mori" (you must see Naples and then die!). Well, my husband and I considered that we better see Napoli before we die, although I could very well change the saying with "take care while you see Naples not to die: run over by a car, a motorcycle, the very bad road inside the town and others). But if you take the chance like we did, you can very well stay at Gr... Read more

This property has been very nicely remodeled and the location is about perfect, being only a half block from the nearest metro station and Via Toledo. We opted for a deluxe double and ended up getting a superb one bedroom suite overlooking the street. Believe it or not, the suite had 2 full bathrooms! The breakfast was only mediocre but at least it was better than just coffee and a pastry. Our biggest complaint would be the attitude of the staff. The front desk folks were a bit aloof and th... We stayed here for two nights in May, 2016. We had booked an Executive Double, and were pleased on arrival to find that the bed in the room was actually a gigantic king, and very comfortable. The hotel had two full size elevators, which made accessing our 7th floor room easy. The room had a small balcony, with no seating, that was accessed by opening an electrically operated metal shutter (the controls are mounted on the wall by the bed). We were attending a conference in Naples and were booked in at the Oriente for a couple of days. The first day, we had a few hours to kill and asked at the reception how we could get to Pompei to visit the ancient ruins. The answer was that it was almost impossible if we should go by public transport due to the long time it would take to get there. They recommended that we each pay 50 Euros and could get a tour bus to take us there. We decided to try getting there by public transport and getting... Read more

The Grand Hotel Oriente is a business type hotel located in the middle of where the action and tourist spots are in Naples.
