Pros: A historic building near the Capodimonte museum (a short walk) and just next to Catacombe di San Gennaro ?? a very nice attraction in Napoli. Nice staff and great view from the lunch room. A charming atmosphere of the old hotel. We received a free upgrade of our room with enormous bathroom. Cons: Everything is outdated and clumsy. A really strange designer solution for the huge bathroom ?? a tiny shower cabin in the corner of nearly 10 sq.m. room.

We booked two nights but spent only one, the minute we entered our room started searching for a new hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful and do their best, the hotel is decadent and depressing, not operational half of it (lift, bar, lights), breakfast is crap. The room was clean but the communal areas are filthy and worn out, cannot express well enough how depressing this place is. Does not deserve 4*, two the most. And they charge ?90/night! Won't mention about bad taste because taste is... Read more

The room was very noisy from traffic .poor lighting .There was just a basic shower .There was an old hearth rug to stand on whilst using the wash basin . We were charged 2 euro for one extra pillow. There wasn't any where to sit comfortably and relax. there was a bar but it was closed .The breakfast was extremely basic, not even any toast . Completely spoilt our 3 days break . It might have been grand in 1908 when it was built ,but it hasn't moved on

I read all the feedbacks about this hotel and I got convinced that it improved since when I stayed a few years ago. On the contrary: rooms are still dusty, wifi is absent (except in the hallway), the road is very noisy, even in the morning. Amex is not accepted. I will not go again.

We really like the location of this hotel. It was on the edge of the walking path so you could still walk to all the restaurants and the city center but it was on the hill and had amazing views of the ocean and the city. The pool area is awesome but the water was freezing. The hotel needs to heat the pool. No one even wanted to go in the pool on a hot day. I think the views from a lot of the rooms were nice but we were put in the corner. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked and we kept... Read more

By far one of the worst places we've stayed at anywhere. The entrance is in a bad location, once you walk out the door your in the middle of the road. The hotel looks like it's trying to be antique-y but everything was dusty. The room keys are all interchangeable with other rooms, the same skeleton key for all rooms. The only reason this hotel got a 2 was because of the friendly staff.

My husband and I have just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel. I can't praise the entire experience highly enough. The hotel is in a stunning posit on the cliff side and just a short walk from Sorrento's shops bars and restaurants. Its is a traditional hotel, bright, clean and very well maintained. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. We took the half board option. which proved to be a wise choice as the breakfast choice was delicious and plentiful. Dinn... Read more
