We recently went to Milan for our 10 year wedding anniversary to see Muse at the Mediolarum Forum, and stayed 4 nights at the Uptown Palace. Starting with the hotel team who were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. In the room, the bed was very comfortable, the shower excellent and the towels and bed linen perfect. I also very much liked the bar and guys who worked in it :) It's a great location with plenty of bars and restaurants ... Read more

Booked on a British Airways city break deal, little nervous about we were going to get but was very pleasantly surprised! Location-wise excellent as it was easy to get to all the best tourist spots. Tip, taxis were quick to arrive and cheap, also a good option if arriving from Linate airport. Design of the place is very Italian chic throughout and rooms of a good size, clean and very comfortable. All staff we met were very helpful, efficient when we needed anything. Good value hotel located within a 10-15 minute walk from Duomo. It's also a short cab ride from the main central station costing approx ?15,00. We have checked in for two nights and am staying in the "Deluxe Double" room. Pros: Nice welcoming hotel conveniently located near a metro station and one of the major attractions - Duomo. Reception staff were friendly and spoke English. Spacious room with a good layout and bathroom facilities. The bathroom was very big with a separate glass shower (g... Read more

Location - The location is the highlight of this hotel!!! The duomo "popular area" is 15 minutes from the hotel. Transportation - Taxi is 100 euro from the airport (MXP) to the hotel - one way, so YES it will cost 200 euro to get to and from the hotel. It's god awful to think you could hand over so much money for a 35 minute ride. Advice 1:Make sure you get the taxi driver to agree to 100 euro before you even get in the taxi. Our meter went up to 120 euro & he had the nerve to ask for that ri... Read more

Firstly, what you are about to read is the absolute truth about this hotel. I've travelled across 24 countries in the last 3 years and have just finished a travel of six cities in Italy. Uptown Palace is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in! Let me explain... Prior to our visit, we had read relatively good reviews about this hotel. We arrived at the hotel for one night. We were given a room on the second floor overlooking one of the busiest roads through Milan. I can safely say that it i... Read more

We stayed at Uptown Palace in Milan for 2 nights as a stopover on our way to Greve in Tuscany. Our room on the 9th floor was clean, nice and fairly quiet. We had forgotten breakfast was included and we were very impressed with the choices available. It seemed to cater for every nationality. Locally we were disappointed with the lack of bars and restaurants that were not open or closed early. Loved visiting the Duomo area and people watching

We stayed at this hotel for two nights but could have gladly stayed for more. The staff were very warm and welcoming and took our bags upstairs for us. The establishment is very modern, new and clean. We had room 309 not an extravagant room but large spacious and with a lovely bathroom. It was on the same floor as the breakfast which was convenient. Breakfast was buffet style, I was not particularly impressed but it was doable considering it was a quick trip. The other thing I found odd was the lack of an iron in the room....I can't remember the last time I didn't see one in a hotel room Staff were warm and always had a ready smile on their face. Can't complain about the location of this hotel, which is walking distance from the Duomo and a few metro and tram stops. A lot of good restaurants walking distance from the place, with a 24 hour supermarket (express) just 100 odd metres away. Room was a little small for my liking, but maybe that's what you get from a big city in Europe. Breakfast spread is adequate, nothing too fancy. Lovely hotel, very modern in a great location- 10 ,I mute walk to the duomo. We had a very comfortable 4 night stay here and I would definitely return. The beds were comfy, the shower was powerful and the wifi great. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We ate dinner here one evening and despite it being a little pricey, the food was to a good standard. The staff were all professional and very helpful. Would recommend.

We flew into Milan Malpensa airport to begin our driving trip around Italy. We needed a day to recover and catch up on some rest after the red eye so after doing some research we booked Uptown Palace and we were not disappointed in the slightest. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during the last leg of our Italy trip. The room was a bit tight for 3 but it was doable. The shower was amazing (huge shower head and great water pressure). Breakfast and wifi were included with our rate and they both were good. Plenty of things to see and places to eat within walking distance. We arranged a transfer to the airport on our last day and the driver was prompt and polite. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I was in Milan only for a night so I didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. I was mostly sightseeing the only day I was in Milan. The bed is one of the most comfortable I had ever slept. I just loved the bed. The room was very small but since I just slept there one night I didn't mind. But trust me after you get into the bed you don't want to seat anywhere else in the room. The hotel was about 15 minutes from the sight so take that in consideration if you don't like to walk a lot. Please do ... Read more

Very comfortable stay in this hotel for my wife and me. We got a deal booking so the price was very good. Easy walking distance of Duomo, with a good bufet breakfast (only slight gripe was I that I had to ask the staff for espresso instead of it being 'on tap'. But the staff were only to happy to help). The rooms won't win any prizes for the views, but that's not important when you get a decent hotel for a reasonable price.

Great location only 10 minutes walk from Duomo, crocetta metro station, restaurants and shops. Rooms are very well presented, if a little too small. Difficult to walk around and be comfortable with two people if staying more than a couple of nights. Staff are friendly and helpful. WiFi needs improvement - poor connection and constantly having to sign in.

Very nice hotel overall. Pretty good value considering we went in the peak season. Great location! Walking distance to the Duomo and Galleria. The breakfast buffet was fine but nothing impressive. Not much of a view but not sure what hotel in Milan does honestly. Also, the room itself is a little small but this is fairly common in Europe.

Great location in terms of accessing the Duomo etc, very helpful during check in, the rooms and bathroom were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was good and there is a small grocery store about 100m from the hotel if you want to buy a couple of things. Views varied - ours looked back towards Duomo but I know others did not.

We stayed at uptown palace for only one night. Despite its rather interesting name it was the most wonderful hotel. The location is great, only 15minutes walk from the duomo and very near to all the great shopping. The room was decent size, clean and modern. Our bathroom was exceptionally large and even had two sinks. The staff were very friendly and gave us lots of guidance as what to do in Milan and where to eat. Would highly recommended this hotel.

Disappointed with this hotel. We upgraded to a double room superior however the room was quite small with one desk chair and one corner chair which was quite uncomfortable. I cannot imagine what the basic room is like. The bathroom was modern and quite large but has not one shelf to put your toiletries on. I put ours around the 2inches at the side of the sinks whereupon the maid moved them everyday onto the sinks themselves. I dont find that hygienic. The breakfast is good with a good choice an... As with previous reviewers, I had mixed feelings about this hotel. This was the final hotel of 5 which we stayed in during our two week tour of Italy and wanted it to be a special one before we departed for the UK. I'll start with the positives by saying the team on the front desk were generally pleasant and made an effort to get us rooms despite us arriving several hours before check-in. The Palace hotel is better than the Canada in my view, with a more modern feel, The room was small, but OK to be fair, facing out the side and away from the noisier street. I had been given a room with disabled access, which is fine, although the bathroom was set up for a wheelchair user making using the toilet and shower slightly odd for an able-bodied person. The staff are all very nice and helpful. This hotel has a great location, but be warned that there is major road construction directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are Ok, small but tastefully done. The decor however seems to be cheap quality as the chairs in the restaurant buffet area are already peeling and certain things look a little tired.
