Why would you like to waste your time and Money on this hotel while there are a few better alternatives. The location is central but the attitude was not friendly. They tried to take the advantage of the situation and charge extra Money to give me the room 3 hours in advance. most hotels do it complementary if there is an availablity. In this particular case availability was just after the charge. Cheap tricks, not recomended. Not go there

I stayed at this hotel on 31/05/16. It is not usual for me to form an opinion of a hotel based on one nights stay. However this hotel was easy to review even after only one night because everything went perfectly. The checkin by the charming and efficient front desk staff went quickly and smoothly. My room and bed were very comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty and extensive enough to satisfy anyone. And the front bar although small had everything. One last thing. Can't really fault The Square, great rooms (we had connecting ones for the family), very good breakfast and excellent location for Il Duomo. We couldn't quite get to five stars mainly because we found the service a little impersonal at the Front Desk, however, the staff at breakfast were fantastic and very attentive, so it was a close call. No doubt we were also spoilt by what was impeccable service on our stay in Barcelona earlier this year. The WiFi was pretty patchy and we had a variety of d... Read more

Location was also pretty good, a 10-minute walk from the Duomo. The next time we find ourselves back in Italy, we will plan to have a longer stay in Milan, and book our stay in The Square. So it's called Milano Duomo, but it's about ten minutes away from the Duomo. You're also about 15 minutes away from the quadrilateral of shopping and the neighborhood immediately around the hotel seems to be a dead zone for good restaurants. The rooms are very modern and nice and the hotel seemed comfortable. The staff was a bit young and not always helpful, but we were just crashing in Milan for one night to see the Last Supper and before our flight out, so it was good enough for that.

We had a triple room, which was very clean and comfortable. There are 2 things that let me down - and these are the reasons why I didn't give a 5 rating - 1. WiFi was terrible, it kept dropping out. 2. My daughter requires certain medication to be kept refrigerated, which means we travel with freeze esky packs. I had asked th... Read more

The Boyfriend and I were completely wowed by this hotel. The design is sleek and elegant (as one would expect in a fashion capital) and our room was spacious and well appointed. The large marble bathroom should serve as a model for all hotel baths everywhere, with its' fabulous shower and great lighting (and lighted magnifying mirror), and it was spotlessly clean. We were on the 9th floor, and had a nice terrace with city views, but the great views are from the 10th floor restaurant and lounge... Read more

This lovely hotel is located a short walk from the Duomo but still in a very quiet area. The rooms were modern but with nice style and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was fairly quiet. The only down sound is that there is no carpeting in the rooms and I could hear my next door neighbor walking around if she was wearing her shoes. Fortunately, I knew her and asked her not to wear shoes while in the room. If you don't know your neighbor it could be a problem. Because of the stone flo... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends to celebrate a significant birthday. Upon check-in the birthday boy was upgraded to a top floor room with a balcony, which was a lovely touch - especially as it was fashion week in Milan. The hotel is close to the Duomo and within a 15m taxi ride to Milan Centrale train station. The staff were exceptional - at checkin, in the bar downstairs and at breakfast. We were sad to check out of this gorgeous hotel. Would love to come back and stay here again one d... Read more

Stayed for three nights. This hotel is in a very good location, a short walk to the Cathedral. The breakfast is plenty and the bed in our room was very comfortable. The roof top terrace is an added bonus. I did think the room wasn't very well designed, there is no shelving in the bathroom for your toiletries so you have to put them on the desk area. There is only one drawer in the open plan wardrobe and the air con is difficult to operate (we had to contact reception as it was too hot)... Read more

It was a fantastic experience staying at The Square Milano Duomo for 2 nights at a deluxe room. The room was clean, new, tidy with all the comforts expected by a 4 star hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly. The only thing i can mention is the quality of the bed mattress which was not at the same standards as the rest of room.

Stayed here for business, service is nice, the rooms are pretty new, large and spotless clean. If you prefer to sleep in complete silence, try to get a room not into the direction of the train, yet, the noise is very far away and quiet tolerable. As the hotel is right in the center of Milan, walks to the Duomo are 5 minutes.

The Duomo, Milan, magnificent! and nobody should ever visit Milan without seeing or visiting the Duomo and the Duomo square.Standing on the square you can also see the entrance to La Galleria not to miss either. However one thing to keep in mind there are doves, lots of them! Now nearly everyone likes feeding the doves, so there are very friendly people walking around with peanuts and offering you peanuts like for free. Do not accept, because once you accept a few peanuts they demand you buy the... Read more

Easily one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Excellent location. The staff were so helpful and the room we stayed in was fantastic, clean and spacious. We were kindly given a bottle of prosseco for our anniversary that we had celebrated earlier in the month. The breakfast was exceptional! Well worth staying here to see the sights of Milan.

This was a lovely ultra modern hotel. We reserved a larger room, and we kept bumping into each other, or getting hit on the furniture. The service was great, and the staff knowledgeable and their dining recommendations were wonderful. The breakfast buffet was bountiful. The proximity to the main sites is false on their site. It is a 15 minute walk to the Duomo, not the time they claimed. My husband and I walk at a brisk pace.

Lovely stylish hotel in a super central location: the Duomo is less than 10 minute away on foot. We were assigned a very large room, with a large and modern bathroom to mach. We also had a Nespresso coffee maker, certainly a nice touch for hotels of this level. The breakfast room is wide and bright - lots of options, we especially liked the large variety of croissants and pastries (including wholewheat croissants). Very friendly and helpful staff.

We landed in Milan and reached the hotel after a delayed flight. On entering the lobby we were apprehensive . It looked crowded and small with the front desk staff seeming extremely busy , but they were efficient and got us checked in smoothly. We then took the elevator up. The hotel has 3 elevators , 2 very small and one bigger which we always used as we were vary of using the small ones. We had booked 3 superior rooms . All were different. Stayed in The Square for my birthday visit to Milano. The hotel is fairly new, walking distance to all the action. The room is very spacious, bed very good! Bathroom very big and well equipped. The Nespresso machine was not working, but would not rate that as a big deal. Got free caffe after checking in and we received a bottle of prosecco in the room after we returned from shopping. Very nice gesture :-)) We will be back in February!!!

Really hard bed. Location ( 5 min walk to duomo) and breakfast was nice. Also ask for a room on higher floors or not on the streetside. There is a tramline next to the hotel. I've stayed in the center of European cities many times and have learned to expect that on my 4 star budget, I will be staying in a well kept yet older hotel with small rooms and smaller bathrooms -- this is to be expected in a very central location. Not so with The Square. It is extremely modern, well-lit, and just 5 minutes walk to the Duomo. Our room had two queen-size beds, high ceilings, a huge t.v... Views from the 10th floor were superb as are the rooms. The wine terrace bar is on the same floor and a great place to relax and watch the world go by in the evening (it opens at 18.30). Not cheap, but for a special occasion well worth it. I notice other contributors have complained of the beds being hard. From my point of view the harder the better. We were on the 9th floor which was removed a bit from the team noise, however I'd ask for a room that doesn't face onto the main road if you like it extra quiet.
