Very nice room with carpet floors, more comfortable than usual Italian bed, and a grand marble bathroom with a heated mirror to stop condensation from showering. Elegant and classic design overall, but the shower design was strange with a fixed divider that only reaches a third of the way down the combined shower/tub, so water splashes all over the place. Not the first hotel I've stayed at with such a shower design, but I am equally perplexed each time. Very simple but nice lobby bar and lounge ... Read more

The room was large and well appointed with work space, a small table and two chairs for sitting next to the windows that overlooked the garden below. Opening the windows was a challenge due to the drapes hanging low that keep the windows from swinging open. The bed was low and hard and the pillows were terrible - hard. The bathroom is nicely equipped and bath amenities are available. The wardrobe had a safe and real hangers which is nice. The walls were a bit beat up from luggage and chairs. The... Read more

We were a bit unsure whether we would feel out in the sticks with this hotel. As it happens it is quite central and very easy to get to the rest of Milan with metro and busses. The hotel is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are very professional and helpful. We got a fab price on a classic room on the first floor, and even though we had one of the rooms awaiting redecoration, it was perfectly fine and great value. I would have no hesitation about booking again but might go for the... Read more

Firstly I will talk about the good things about this hotel. We had a very spacious room, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom with a great shower. It was clean and the location, whilst further away, had very easy transport links into town and some really lovely restaurants nearby. Unfortunately what let this hotel down was the service we received. When we initially got to the hotel we were informed we were too early to check in. Not a problem but we were told we would be fast tracked through, ... Read more

When we arrived we were very impressed with the lobby and room situation. The front desk concierge was very kind and recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. However, the rest of the staff is extremely rude and did not want to help at all. While the breakfast is pretty good, the staff seemed like it was the last place they wanted to be. The A/C in the room is adjustable but it doesn't ever change so there is no AC.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were not sure how close we were to the Duomo etc...but there is a subway stop right near the hotel and 3 short stops away we were in the heart of things. Without even getting on the subway there were great restaurants very close by. The concierge, Bernie Gallotta was one of the most special people ever and gave us many good ideas. All staff were so helpful, the room was very nice and the bathroom gorgeous with robes and slippers provided. The brunch was very e... Read more

Situated very close to Metro stations and also trams and buses. Could reach almost anywhere from here easily. Buffet breakfast had a good spread with fresh mozzarella, parma ham as well as the usual. Steam room and sauna are nice but Jacuzzi was quite grimy. Rooms reasonable size, spotlessly clean with some lovely amenities too.

A beautiful building & lovely room but I shared some poor experiences of some other reviewers during my 3 day stay. These were mostly service related and very disappointing; breakfast was the poorest on all fronts with staff chatting (loudly) to one another, totally ignoring customers, 3 orders before tea finally arrived, bread not replaced when it ran out (but plenty of sweet breads) and, on the last morning, a yogurt machine sputtering out its last spoon at 7.15am in a very quiet breakfast roo... This was the last stop on our trip to Italy, so we came here with bittersweet feelings, arriving late afternoon from Sardinia with an early flight out the next morning. I bumped our room up one notch when I booked, then the hotel bumped us up another one (thank you!) to a junior suite on our arrival, so the room was quite spacious, especially for the price. The room was well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, nice linens and toiletries. Staff was helpful, although we were given some incorrect... Read more

Overall this is a lovely hotel with nice clean spacious rooms and having a room facing the gardens it was very quiet. However, the air conditioning automatically turns off at 11 pm and does not turn back on until 7 am. We were not aware of this when we booked or we would have chosen a different hotel. The room would get quite warm and stuffy at night and we couldn't sleep comfortably. I called down to the front desk several times in the middle of the night and again later in the day. They told ... Plenty of comforts such as robe, extra pillows, slippers and generous amount of complementary and a decent TV... but we paid extra for spa access which was not worth it. We are a family of 5 who had an unexpected stay in Milan and used Trip Advisor to find the Grand Visconti Palace. They didn't have a family suite, so we had to rent two rooms, but with the online deal available, it worked out to the same exact price (330 Euro/night) as nice family suites we had in Rome and Venice. Milan has a very bad graffiti problem, and driving up to the hotel was a little bit unnerving, because there's even grafitti on the side of the building. However, the hotel itself, an... Read more
