Everyone loves Venice. The art, the opera and the history are unsurpassed. Unless you can afford a suite at the Danielli (see the film The Tourist) and a complementary transfer, getting your suitcase around Venice is a challenge, especially as you get a little older. The cobblestones and bridges are a challenge and on this visit the Vaporetto were on strike again!. We have opted to stay in this hotel just 20m from the Venice Mestre railway station several times. All trains travelling to and fr... Read more

The hotel is located opposite the train station and it is the subcontinent's main asset. Quick check-in. Room OK in size. In-room refrigerator and flat screen TV, comfortable bed. WiFi works well. Unfortunately, it was terribly hot, and off and control the air conditioning did not give anything. This resulted feelings that our sleep is poor. Poor breakfast too little heat, two kinds of sausage and cheese, sweet stuff. For the price (101E per room) definitely expected something better.

Three friends and I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Bologna for two nights in January and could not be happier with our choice, dominantly due to the location of the hotel. As most reviews state, it is right across the street from the train/bus station, so transportation to Venice is very convenient. As people who wanted to spend most of their time in Venice and did not want to pay the more expensive price of the hotels in Venice, this was the best choice for us. The train is 2.50 Euros for a r... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting Venice and found the staff and location great. its right across the road from the train station and it took us 10 minutes to get into Venice on the train. the food in the hotel restaurant was also really good, we didn't see in restaurants nearby that were worth eating at so would either recommend going into Venice for food or eating at the restaurant. The breakfast was great value for money so overall had a pleasant experience here. ... Read more

everything are good.. up to standard. the room is clean. Best place to stay if you dont want to pay overcharged price in Venice. Hotel just 1 min walk from Mestre Station. just few minutes walk from Chinese restaurant, super market, italian food, and Mc.Donald. 5mins walk from bus station to Airport. mestre station is just 1 station before venice island..take train only 1.25euro per way... i would stay here again if i come to venice again.

Absolutely one of my favorite hotels. I would recommend it to anyone. Very modern. directly across the street from the train station. Very easy access to Venice. Nice restaurant in the hotel. We were given a bottle of proseco for our honeymoon. If we go back to Venice we will be staying here again.

Recent trip to Venice, but frankly hate staying on Venice and lugging baggage through the streets so always stay in Mestre. This location can't be beat. Right across the street from the train station. 8 minute, 1.25 Euro trip gets you to Venice. Trains leave for Venice every 10 minutes or so. Better yet take the early morning high speed train and spend the day in Florence. So convenient. From the airport, take the bus to the Mestre Venito train station for 8 Euro and you're across the street fr... Read more

When you visit Venice the best place to set your 'base camp' is on the mainland district of Mestre. So you can choose this hotel. It is extremely convenient placed, just across the street from railway station Mestre FS and 100 meters from bus stop of no. 2 and 1 lines which will take straight to Venice following a 15 minutes trip. Hotel is rather new and offers excellent service. Rooms have new furniture and the bathrooms show why Italians are best in interior design. Very friendly staff at rece... Read more

The room was big, modern and very close to the train station to get to the main island. I had a great experience with the front desk staff, especially Barbara. She was very helpful. I paid about 90 euros for the night and 1.50 euros one way to get to the Santa Lucia train station in the heart of Venice Island. It was definitely worth staying here rather than paying 2 to 3 times the cost to stay on the island. A lot easier as well if you have luggage. The bridges on Venice island have lots of sta... We informed the hotel that we will be checking in late, that was fine apart from the entrance was locked up from the car park area, had to ring a bell and they let us in. After that waited half an hour at reception due to somebody trying to get directions for their trip the next day. Not very nice after a long day of travelling... the room itself was ok, found a big bunch of hair. In the toilet and a strange stain on the laminated flooring. Bfast was ok, again. I glasses for juice etc. Locatio... Read more
