I travelled with my 12 year old son for a three night break. I took the Barzi service from Trevisio airport, ‚?¨22 return and it took 35 minutes. Driving through Mestre at first I was not impressed and thought I had made a mistake. The Barzi bus dropped us at Plaza hotel and we took the number 2 bus for ‚?¨1.50 each and it only took 5 minutes to the hotel. The hotel has free wifi, the breakfast is excellent and there is plenty of choice. The staff were helpful in giving advice , Karim was very h... Read more

We were on a 12 day Europe trip and had worst experience at this hotel. Especially the old receptionist. He was so rude while talking to us. I didn't understood the room number he wrote on the key envelope and I asked him about it. To this he got infuriated and started shouting at me to take his place. It compelled me to scold him like anything. He must have forgotten that he earns his salary only because we, the tourist, come to his hotel and not the other way round. Even after 2 min of scoldin... In need of a jolly good deep clean, Needed bed split, mother an daughter. No problem, staff magnificent all spoke some English , breakfast brilliant. Lounge area excellent. This hotel is in Mestre and very well situated, a short walk to the center of Mestre and just 100 mtr to a bus station and only a 20 minutes ride to Venice. The rooms are OK and a very friendly and helpful staff. The shower in the room was a bit strange, plenty of hot water and nice, but not closed enough so the bathroom floor was very wet after a shower.

We stayed a week in this hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely and the breakfast was yummy! The hotel bar wasn't expensive, but didn't open until 7pm. The only issue was the free wifi, which was terrible due to a fault with their service provider. That said I would still recommend this hotel, as its 100m to the bus stop, which takes you straight into Venice. Piazza Ferretto in Mestre is also only a 10min walk away, with excellent bars & res... This hotel gets full marks from me iro situation, convenience, room, staff, cleanliness and food. The room is spacious with a comfy bed and white linen sheets and comfy pillows. The bathroom is spacious too - by European standards, large. It is stylishly furnished and equipped and everything worked. The breakfast is excellent. The bus stop into Venice is 100 m from hotel going and returning, costs Euro 3 return per person ((available from reception) and takes about 10-15 mins - they run eve... Read more

Nice hotel a 10 minute walk from piazza feretta which is CENTRE of mestre. The rooms as ok but the air conditioning is very very poor and it was extremely hot at night and it seems it's centrally regulated so each room Has only option to switch it off ... Breakfast was super and overall hotel was nice

We stayed here for one night after our cruise. It's located in Mestre and is close to a lovely square for activities and food (Piazza Feretta). Staff on check in were ok not the friendliest. It really is a budget hotel and the rooms were standard. Word of warning the beds are awful!! But if only a stop over the hotel will be perfect. Breakfast average to poor. Close to bus links to centre of Venice. Overall a decent hotel for the price.

The receptionist wasn't around when we first walked in. Then told us we have to wait for the room... 45 minutes later she asked us what room we are in. Just to say it's not ready. So we are still sitting on the couches .... Doesn't even ask if we want something to drink .... Just proceeds to go and eat her lunch

Great hotel, rich breakfast, very friendly. We got lots of help from the people at the reception. Pino especially, went really out of his way. Very close to the hotel there is bus no. 2 which goes to venice and tickets can be purchased at the hotel.

hotel is situated approximately 20 mins from Venice on a no2 bus so easy to catch and punctual every 10 mins ticket available from reception. Hotel staff all friendly and very welcoming most spoke good English puts us to shame really only knowing few words of Italian, breakfast continental but substantial to keep you going for the day, room comfy not huge but clean and well maintained. would definitely stay again if coming back to Venice.

What a great find and easily situated off the busy, expensive island of Venice. Just a short bus trip on a number 2 bus takes you straight to the Island. The bus costs ‚?¨3 return which can easily be bought from reception. Beatrice, the receptionist, provided fabulous service. She was attentive on our checkin and offered to book a taxi for our trip to the port to embark the cruise. Her service was exceptional. (Thanks Beatrice) The room was very clean and good size. If you're looking for a way to travel with car to Venice, the suburb Mestre is your best bet. Opposite the hotel is a public parking lot for 5EUR/day, or you can park in the designated hotel parking lot for 16/day. The restaurant is very good, both for the breakfast or dinner. There is also a bar with some lovely outside terrace where you meet a lot of friendly folks while sipping on Italian wine. Approx. 200 meters from hotel is a bus stop for public transport, which will drive you directly... Read more

Pro's - Friendly staff - On arrival we had a loud noise with the air-conditioning, next day we asked if they could look into this. They did and the noise was gone, very nice! - Nice rooms Contra's - Dirty refrigerator / shower (mold) - No water / snack on arrival - No curtain in the bathroom - Breakfast was Meh. (desserts were very good tho!) It was an okay experience, would give it 3 stars

Liked: Courteous and helpful reception staff. Easy transportation into Venice. Bus tickets can be purchased at the reception for ‚?¨3 return. The bus stop is very near the hotel and no 2 bus runs every 10 mins. The journey into Venice takes about 15 to 20 mins. It took us only10 minutes to walk to Mestre town center and there you can find many restaurants, supermart and a mall. Reception helped us to book a minivan to transfer 8 of us to the airport at a cost of ‚?¨50. Disliked The room was ra... Read more

This hotel is situated in Mestre and roughly 30 minuets by bus to the outskirts of Venice, from there you will need to take a waterbus to places like S. We stayed at the Apogia Sirio in Mestre which is a lot more affordable then staying in Venice. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Bus to go to Venice costs 1.5‚?¨ and ride is 10 minutes away from Venice. Breakfast is included and was plentiful (both hot and cold items). Mestre is also a nice little town to visit with a lovely huge open air market. I will definitely return to the Apogia Mestre on my next trip to Venice.

Rooms remind you of cruise ship size. Shower small and water all over the floor, be careful. Hotel is easy to get to from train station very direct. Venice is a short bus ride away and you can buy the tickets from reception, the bus takes you to Roma Plalazza, which is on one side of the island, to get to the Ralato bridge, St Mark Square and San Marco is a long walk. Stayed here as part of a bargain break package from the UK and was better than we expected. Bathrooms are nicely turned out and our room was very clean and comfy. Unfortunately the shower head was so calcified there was hardly any flow (they really need fixing!) but there was lots of water pressure in the hand held part of the shower. Transport to Venice was cheap and easy - buy the bus tickets from reception. Breakfast was OK but not good for gluten free options so be aware. Pizzeria Ae Oche n... Read more

Great little hotel, very modern, very clean, great and helpful staff, great breakfast included with lots of variety, just along the road is the bus stop to get into Venice and also just a small walk into the centre of Mestre.
