my wife and I were staying at the hotel for 5 nights in April 2016. Hospitality was perfect. Hotel in a great location in the hills above Sorrento, with quick and easy access to all the attractions and sites in the area. The level of cleanliness and maintenance at the hotel extremely high. Hotel shining cleanliness. Breakfast is excellent and has everything you need including freshly squeezed orange juice. I have recently returned from a week's break at the Grand Hotel Due Golfi. The location of this hotel provides the most panoramic of views and guests can look down on the last installation stages of a new stunning infinity pool. The selection of food at the breakfast buffet and evening meal surpassed expectations served by smart, attentive and courteous staff. We stayed for 10 days in May. We had a sea facing room on the third floor. Sea facing rooms enjoy the same view as the lounge and restaurant and also look down on the new pool. While we were there the sun did not get on to our balcony until the afternoon. When it is hotter, in the summer, this may be an advantage. The staff at this hotel cannot be faulted. When we arrived we are given aroom at the front of the hotel, which was very nice but if you stay at a hotel with a view like the du golfi has then a room that has a view is a must. A free shuttle bus goes from the hotel to the town just make sure you're there 5 mins before or it will go without you! Could do with a few more buses on the schedule as there's a big gap in the day with no bus but in high season they might be more frequent. From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be a favourable experience. The quiet professional gentleman on the reception explained clearly all we needed to know and then showed us to our room. We had a sea view which was wonderful. Our balcony was large overlooking the new infinity pool. The atmosphere was relaxing and only the sound of the occasional bark from the local dogs way in the background could be heard. We had tea and coffee in the room which was another bonus. Breakfast was ... Read more

The hotel is medium size with recent investment in the stunning infinity pool with a great but distant view across Sorrento town, the bay of Naples and to Vesuvius. Pool activates spa bubbles and cascade from time to time, big enough for some swimming but mostly to dip in and look to the Volcano. Overall hard to beat the pool area if you like roomy areas of seating in the shade and a sunbed when you want it. Usual selfish guests who reserve beds at 7am but turn up for 30 minutes after lunch... Read more

Visited on the 12th of September 2016 first impressions were lovely nice frontage and clean the girls on reception were very pleasant and very helpful with everything we asked about , we booked our holiday with Thomson I had read that Thomson holidays book rooms over the entrance of hotel and not the bay views I emailed the hotel and they confirmed this after a lot of debating I decided to upgrade to a bay view with mount Vesuvius in the background at the cost of 150 euros we were given the key... OK, three great things about Grand Hotel due Golfi: 1) Possibly the most fantastic view of any hotel room we've enjoyed around the world. From our balcony we looked down on the town of Sorrento, the Gulf of Naples, and Mt. Vesuvius in the background. Spectacular any time of the day. 2) Clean! Again, this may be the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. The floors gleamed, the chandeliers sparkled, the bathrooms spotless. The staff must work round the clock to maintain this level of cleanlin... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Pompeii. Got hotel pick up from Naples station so avoided the need to nervously avoid petty crime and enjoyed the transfer journey. We booked (to be fair) and got 2 small rooms on the ground floor. The twin was fine for our teenagers but the double was very pokey and on the first night smelt of fumes from the BBQ by the pool and the noise from the reception area in the morning was LOUD. That was the last low point as the s... Read more

Recently returned from a 10 day stay at the Grand Hotel Due Golfi in Massa Lubrense. As always, I like to break my reviews up into the categories making it easier to write and easier to read. It's also quite long and detailed, so only read if you've got spare time. Hotel: You know you‚??ve chosen well when you get off the transfer bus and your hotel looks as good as this one does. This hotel is perfect for a short, or long, stay, when visiting this beautiful peninsula of Italy. Although a littl... Read more

Don't hesitate to book this hotel for relaxing and unwinding break top notch..

This hotel is located in an excellent place, facing the golf of Sorrento all the way to the Vezuvio mountain. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is rich, the swimming pool is very pleasant, but most of all- the staff, espacially at the reception desk are wonderful. They assiat you in every request and guide you where to go or to dine. The hotel manager assisted me in solving a problem with my car, and you feel like at home. I recommend this hotel as a base for travelling to the Sor... Read more

Have just returned from a week in this fabulous hotel.......what can I say? Set on a hilltop overlooking Sorrento and with a fantastic view of Mount Vesuvius, which stands majestically overlooking the bay. There is a panoramic view from the restaurant and also the bar area. There is an infinity pool which is amazing. All the staff were so helpful, going that extra mile to make sure that everything was OK. The reception staff were so knowledgeable offering advice on how to do trips on your own.... Read more

Stayed here for one week on half board basis and can not fault the service, staff, food or decor. Was wonderful with fantastic views. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and professional. Our room was adequate for two of us, the bathroom was very small but not a problem. The bed and pillows were a bit on the hard side but it is what you are used to. Maid service everyday. Plenty of choice of food and reception staff really helpful with trips etc. I would use the hotel to arrange the tri... Read more

Myself and my daughter stayed here for a couple of nights to explore Sorrento and the surrounding areas. We were not disappointed!! The hotel is in a perfect location with stunning views across Sorrento. The hotel is lovely with really great friendly staff, especially the girls behind the reception desk who couldn't do enough for us, especially when we got soaked walking into the little village. The manager of the restaurant was a charming gentleman. We stayed for the buffet night with a sing... Read more

I never stayed here but I have gone to this Hotel to chill in their beautiful air conditioned lounge. The cocktails are to die for and my speciality. The views are awesome. It is away from the maddening crowd and a haven of peace. It is on a bus route to Sorrento in one direction and Amalfi Coast in the other direction. It is rather informal. People mind their own business here.

This hotel was a great find! The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean and well-cared for. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including great wifi. The views from the hotel were spectacular and a great way to start the day. The food at breakfast was hearty, plentiful, fresh and varied. The hotel was able to accommodate a gluten sensitivity without any problems. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with our questions about the area, things to d... Read more

This has to be one of the best hotels we have been to....it measures alongside the Royal Livingstone by Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river and that is saying something! The staff are first class, they care so much about you as a person, they want everyone to have a first class experience. Before we set off on our journey they contacted us to ensure our transport was at the airport to meet & greet us. When we arrived, they were more concerned that we were fed and relaxed before full booking... Read more

This was our second holiday at this hotel and we were apprehensive in case it wasn't as good as we remembered. We needn't have worried it was as good if not better than on our original visit. The staff were very attentive, the food wonderful and the views to die for. If we go back to Sorrento we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

I have to admit in all my years travelling I think the customer service we got from Amelia and Ornella was the best we have ever had. They were so helpful and made our holiday so much easier. You are a credit to the company and thanks. Hotel is about 20mins on shuttle bus from Sorrento but we tended to eat in Sant Agata as the food was much nicer and better priced. The walk into the wee village was a bit unsafe as no footpath at the start but you just have to be careful. There is also a pub... Read more

I am not sure I wanted to share this review as I want the hotel all to myself however I have to say as someone who has been in the travel industry a long time I have never had service this good and food to match. Every member of staff gives 100% and all take an interest in your happiness. The food is great and I even asked if the pastry chef was single, his food is that good. The dining staff are the best I have encountered and I have been to many 5 star establishments. The head waiter/maitre d ... Read more

This is a great hotel which should really be 5 star. It is in a great location, just 20 minutes by shuttle bus to Sorento. There is a real mixture of ages among the staff and the guests, which really adds to the holiday experience. All of the staff from the girls on reception, to the cleaners, to the guys and girls in the restaurant are really helpful and no question is too difficult for them to answer, from timetables of buses to Sorrento, Amalfi coast or advice as to where to visit in Sant A... We searched many hotels around Sorrento and decided to book the hotel due golfi as it was relatively small and had good reviews. We stayed here for 7 days. The flight getting there was about over an hour late which meant by the time we got to the hotel the restaurant was closed. Takes about an hour to get there and we went to our room which was the top floor and they the staff had left plates of hams, bread sticks tomatoes and wine which was a nice touch. The room I would say is basic but when y... Read more
