Stayed here one night after a cruise. Was perfect place to stay after a week on an average cruise line. Honeymoon stay and we were treated to a bottle of bubbly and chocolates and strawberry on arrival to room. Breakfast was amazing and we asked for a slightly late checkout and they told us to take our time. Highly recommend and very impressed with the service. Thank you

Second stay in this hotel in Genova. The hotel is a high end one, with very nice facilities and decoration. Superb room, with mirror-tv in the bathroom, very good bidet breakfast and very professional service. We haven't visited the restaurant though. All was amazing.

The Melia in Genoa is centrally located and extremely practical for those visiting this beautiful, historic city. Without being luxurious it is very comfortable and, most importantly, everything works! Bathrooms are well appointed, staff are friendly and will advise on restaurants and places to visit Don't miss the Unesco protected street of palaces. Try the Genovese pesto, a specialty in the area, and do try to get to Porto Fino, when you can have a spoiling cocktail at the Hotel Splendido,... Read more

The best hotel in Genova! Great facilities and high standard on rooms, food and personal service. The staff is great all over the hotel. I have stayed here for 10-12 times and will definitely chose Melia Genova for all future stays as long as it keeps up with todays standards. Highly recommended either for business or pleasure.

We returned to Genoa for a night on the way to the Ligurian coast to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. I think we were upgraded from the basic room we booked, but no one said, a front facing room, but better functioning air con that last time. Well equipped room, including kettle and mini bar. We weren't there very much, but the room was comfortable, luxury bathroom (although small bath). We stayed here for a couple of nights before our cruise. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the d├ęcor very chic and luxurious. It was extremely clean. The pool area was beautiful and perfect for a relax after a long day looking at the sights of Genoa. The breakfast was amazing; so much choice! The staff were so polite and friendly. After two nights we were asked to move room because of some work but we were moved to the suite next door which was even lovelier! Breakfast had a wide choice including cooked breakfast and we were very happy with it. The location was only ten minutes from the big shops and only a further five from the Palazzo Ferrari. We booked this hotel because of its high rating. On our arrival the concierge came and collected our luggage from the taxi and placed it at the reception desk and waited while we checked it. As you approach reception, NO ONE SMILED and greeted you with a welcome to the Melia hotel. It was basically, what is your check-in reservation name and here is your key. I don't expect that sort of customer service, but probably that is the italian charm. Then the concierge just stood there and we asked do ... Read more

Stayed at the Melia, Genoa at the beginning of June. We stayed in one of the suites and it was just lovely. The room was really big, with a separate wardrobe area and the bathroom was just amazing. The room was to a very high standard, as you would expect from a 5* hotel. We used the pool which we really enjoyed at the end of a long day out. Good size bedrooms and convenient for walking through the centre but beware, everywhere in Genoa has quite steep hills and steps. This hotel is a beautiful historic building with a modern flair interior. Comfortable, decadent, the finishing second are of good quality. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. They have a valet parking service. The location is excellent although there are several steps to the town centre. It's easy to find a taxi though if you need one to go back. The room was lovely with much attention to detail and a real feel of comfort and luxury. The breakfast was good and the location great but what stood out was the unerringly friendly and helpful staff at all levels.

My wife and I like to travel light, but stay in nicer hotels (no hostels anymore for us!) This hotel was fantastic. From the very nice and attentive staff, to the cleanliness and luxury of a basic room, we appreciated our time here. The breakfast was excellent, and they even had a plethora of options for my wife who has celiacs. We wish we could have stayed longer, but to Nice we go!

We stayed at this hotel for one night in September. We have stayed there before. Had a junior suite with terrace which is well worth the extra. We spent the afternoon sitting outside and then had lunch/dinner in the local restaurants following apperitivo at "one-eyed jacks" a popular bar down by the harbour a short walk away. The rooms in the hotel are well appointed - everything you could need; with spacious bathrooms and a good bed. We had a drink in the bar and there was plenty of choice at ... Read more

Quality hotel in a quiet but central location, only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping area and piazza. Rooms were of good quality with nice bathrooms and very comfortable bed. Inclusive breakfast was good quality and variety.

Great location and excellent service. Great overall atmosphere. Defienetly it is the best accommodation that I have had in Genova. I will defiantly make all efforts to return. Hopefully will have a chance to use the mini gym and spa.

Very nice smallish hotel with excellent staff. Junior suite was great value. It's a little walk to any of the attractions but nothing too far. If you want to be in the center, this might be a little too far. Nothing spectacular to say about it but nothing we could fault.

This facility is truly a 5-star facility based on U.S. criteria. It is in a great location and walking distance to shopping, nightlife, many upscale and reasonably priced restaurants, and close to Piazza de Ferrari

I believe that Melia is the nicest hotel in Genova. The staff is really friendly and customer focused. The location is a bit off side, but if you walk for like 10 minutes you can be in the city center, with a lot of restaurants and shops.

We were unexpectedly stuck in Genoa for an indefinite period. The hotel could not have been more helpful in extending our stay several times in spite of being pretty booked. Super friendly, flexible and accomodating staff including a gracious general manager. Very good location, short, pleasant walk to the ancient city center though not in it. Small but nice gym and pool. Clean, modern room, good wifi, excellent breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again.

I can't recommend this highly enough. Sure it's not cheap but has the wow factor. The rooms are large, quiet, clean and well decorated. The bathroom similarly. The gym was well equipped and open 24 hours a day. The breakfasts were delicious. I would happily come again soon.

We had a comfortable overnight stay and breakfast at the Melia Genova. The reception was warm and welcoming and the location of the hotel meant we could easily walk to the historic and port areas of the city as well as its commercial districts. We found the bar staff to be particularly helpful and our drinks turned into an early dinner, aided by the layout of bar and restaurant. The fitness and swimming facilities were however a touch too small for a 5 star hotel, though the pool helped us c... Read more

Quality hotel with very friendly staff, really nice hotel as a base for a visit to Genoa. Stayed before, but now they had a change around with the bar area and created a meeting room. The hotel and rooms are always clean and very well presented.

I love melia hotels. The best one I've ever stayed in was Barcelona. It's a spinach chain. Having said that this one was lovely. No complaints. Excited to find a tv in the bathroom mirror. Loved the little touches they put in the room.
