Easily the best decision we made in Florence. This has the service, view, amenities, and location for a luxurious stay in Florence. Every restaurant and site we wanted to see was within 15 minutes of normal walking. This is the PERFECT location. Service was 6-Star. From Julia up front down to the Bellmen.... You will not be disappointed. They have already addressed your need before you even knew you had one. Worth every Euro.

After our stay at the Portrait in Rome, we decided to try the sister hotel in Florence and it did not disappoint. Against all odds, they managed to book us a NYE dinner table extremely last minute as we made our way from the airport (on 31st December at 7pm!!!) in the newest and trendiest restaurant of the city, where we had an amazing dinner and partied all night with the finest florentine crowd! Situated next to Ponte Vecchio Portrait Firenze is an exclusive hotel in the very heart of Florence. Mixed contemporary and classic design, exclusive cleanliness, tranquility and privacy amid hustle and bustle of the city, attention to every detail, comfy beds and fine linens, delicious breakfast. Stunning place to relax, enjoy the beauty of Florence...majority of the landmarks are around the corner and shopping on Via de' Tornabuoni.

This is a five star hotel that completely lives up to all expectations. As a Ferragamo property it is, as expected, quite beautifully and stylishly decorated throughout. Every day I found a new chair or artwork or lamp to admire. The location is fantastic, almost on top of the Ponte Vechhio and within close walking distance to Piazza Signoria. The solid construction makes it so that no street noise interferes at all. Our river suite was large, lavish and beautiful. I was particularly thrilled ... Read more

Amazing hotel. The butler, Conceirage, and all staff are among the best in the world we've ever experienced. Welcome drinks in the lobby then an amazing lunch in the restaurant before we went to our room. Rooms are large. Highly recommend the river view. (See the pictures). Large living area. Full kitchenette. Large two sink bathrooms. Location is perfect. Walked to every gallery, museum, restaurant and bar. This will be our hotel of choice for future trips to Italy.

The Portrait Firenze had the highest level of service that I have ever witnessed and that includes a great many 5 star hotels worldwide of three decades. The Life Style Managers were amazing. No matter how difficult a request, they fulfilled everything and it was all seamless. The rooms are magnificent with incredible finishing. For a hotel that is in the heart of everything, you could simply not do better.... anywhere!

So much of Portrait Firenze is perfect! Perfect location, right on the Arno river and steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. Perfectly appointed, beautiful, spacious rooms! And a helpful and lovely staff that was quick to learn our names and ask us about the restaurants we tried. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This hotel is located in a prime locations in Florence. Upon check in we were greeted and offered drinks. The woman who checked us in was so enthusiastic but after a long trip traveling there I honestly didn't have the patience for the 20 minute check in process. I felt like such a horrible human being. We went to our room (standard room) and decided to take a quick nap. While napping we were awaken by a slamming door 10 times in a 30 minute window. The door was an employee access door right... What a beautiful hotel, with superb service, a good breakfast, and a large comfortable room. We were spoiled from the moment we registered for the hotel, to the minute we checked out. The suite was lovely, and my son was able to sleep in the living room area, which allowed for some privacy. The location right near the Ponte Vecchio is fantastic, in the middle of everything, but you walk inside and are in an oasis of calm.

The room was absolutely lovely. Clean, spacious and well appointed. The bed linens were crisp and the mattress perfect. The bathroom was finished in white marble and chrome and the shower was a perfect reprise after a day of walking and eating pasta and truffles. The heated towel warmer was a nice touch. The accommodations were part of the overall luxurious experience of our trip and we were happy to spend time in the room just lounging and enjoying the view and afternoon sunlight.

Perfection is the name of this hotel's game. The moment we entered reception, we were treated like celebrities. We sat to check in with a drink in hand. We then entered our room, which had floor to ceiling windows with straight on views of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. Many walls had floor to ceiling mirrors or white Carrara marble. This was done so well I never had to touch the climate control for my entire stay! The location of the hotel overlooking the Ponte Vecchio is superb and our suite had a great view of the Arno river. Check in was easy and the staff were very pleasant offering any welcome drink we cared for. A chilled bottle of Prosecco... Read more

Beautiful hotel with incredible views of the Ponte Vecchio - watching the sunsets from our bedroom window was amazing! The room was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in and very spacious. As stated by other reviewers we found the staff to be excellent, incredibly helpful and also always welcomed us by name when we passed through the 'lobby'. This is an outstanding hotel and in my opinion can be compared to the best in Europe. Overall a fantastic experience and so glad we chose to stay at the P... Read more

We stayed at the Portrait in a family suite (huge living room with pull-out sofa and cleverly hidden kitchenette, separate master suite, and two full baths) in August 2016. From the moment we stepped out of the cab we were treated with warmth, professionalism, and friendliness --- honestly one of the best hotel staff experiences I've ever had, including stays at many other more expensive luxury resorts. The concierge was incredibly responsive and each request treated with friendly enthusiasm. Th... Read more

My wife and I were extremely pleased at our visit to The Portrait. Our first room was on the first floor... but after requesting a change, they put us on the 3rd floor in a beautifully appointed and totally fabulous room. We were overlooking the Pointe Vechio...incredible location. Unique concierge team... no front desk per se, just the concierge team... all knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I recommend The Portrait without hesitation.

We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and were referred to the Portrait by our private tour guide. He was spot on and this was an unbelievable experience!!! Not only is the location perfect, on the Arno river with the best views of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, but the service here is extraordinary!!! We do have to mention a few employees who went way above the call of service and made us feel like celebrities and may the stay over the top. They are Leonardo, Baja, Rapheal, and Mario (both of the... Read more

My girlfriend and I decided to spend one night in Florence and decided to stay here. It's a relatively new property and we lived everything about it! The staff was excellent and the location is great. After we spent sometime in our room I heard my girlfriend say "they've thought of everything here"! We will definitely be back!

This is the best hotel we've ever stayed in, bar none. Everything, from the service to the room to the VIEW! to the toiletries to the hotel restaurant, were fabulous and flawless in every way. We stayed for our honeymoon and hope to return as soon as we can and as often as we can. Grazie, Portrait Firenze!

Stayed in Portrait Firenze for 1 night as we would leave the day after for a wedding 40 minutes from Florence. Unlike most hotels, Portrait does not have a traditional reception as they want to make service more personal (as they mentioned to us). As we arrived around noon, upon check in we were told our room was not yet ready. We left our luggage at the hotel and went round the block to do some shopping. At 14:00 we returned to the hotel and asked whether our room was ready, we were asked to ta... Read more

The bedroom and living room were spacious, the bathroom tight, the closet nearly non existent. The furniture is very modern and we found it uncomfortable to sit on. The breakfast at their sister property was good. The hotel is pricey and very modern. The staff amazing, the housekeeping immaculate.

We had a faultless stay at Portrait Firenze. Every aspect of our experience at the hotel was outstanding. We were very kindly upgraded on arrival and the suite was immaculate. The service delivered by the hotel's team throughout our stay exceeded our expectations and probably represents the highest calibre of service we have encountered during our journeys around the world. To start, we bought two nights to be used at one of the hotels in the collection at a charity auction for a foundation we care a great deal about that addresses the protection of children. So, we were already pleased before we arrived. Unfortunately, we had to delay our trip by one night, but our adult children benefitted and spent a night in our suite. The suite overlooked the Arno with the Ponte Vecchio so close you almost felt you could walk out the window to it. It was stunning at all times ... Read more

Spent 3 days - 2 nights in Florence and should have stayed longer. We've been to Italy before but first time in Florence. We stayed at Portrait Firenze for the whole stay. I cannot say enough about the incredible staff at the Portrait Firenze. I would like to give special mention to Baha. He went above and beyond to make our trip special. He recommended fabulous restaurants and made sure we had great tables. He would always check back with us the next morning to make sure we had a good experience. Additionally, on very short notice he planned a day trip for us to Siena which was very memorable. On our last day in Italy, we took the train from Florence to Ro... Read more

Besides the fact that the hotel is luxurious and classy, the staff is super attentive, from the turn down service to providing us with a free data package, this hotel was a dream come true. This chic Italian boutique hotel is tremendous, in every way possible. The attention to detail was something I gaped at, continually. The staff will ask very particular details such as ‚??what temperature exactly would you like the room?‚?? and ‚??do you have a preference of this selection of face products?‚?? I mean, how many hotels ask these questions. For these reasons amongst many others, Portrait Firenze is one step ahead of the other hotels in Florence.

We stayed at Portrait Firenze for 3 nights in early October. Our room was a very nice small suite with a balcony that overlooked the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. Obviously, the hotel is in a great location. The staff was very professional and helpful, particularly with restaurant recommendations and reservations. We had our best meal on our 2 week trip at Bottega del Buon Caffe, which was recommended by the hotel.

So much hype about Florence. In our view it is a mass illusion based on the comments of too many tourists who like Florence because it is "easy". Oh well. So we went to the Portrait with great expectations for the newest of the Ferragamo hotel group. The lobby is nice enough and the rooms are just okay. There is already a lot of wear and tear on the rooms and the overall experience is way below what should be delivered by what holds itself out as a luxury boutique. Staff should go to the JK Pl... Ideal location but otherwise Portrait is overpriced for what you get. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. The bathroom was overdue for renovation: grout was mildewed and missing in places, wall panels were uneven, and there were places in the ceiling where the drywall was obviously cut out and re-patched poorly. Breakfast and minibar were extras, even though the nightly room price was extravagant. Most staff were obsequious; I'm not sure they liked working at Portrait Firenze.

To ensure our needs were met, after we booked, the hotel sent us a survey to fill out.
