This villa is located in a residential area on top of a hill and is very charming. We traveled 2 adults and 2 kids and the place couldn't be more perfect. The villa is walking distance to downtown however the receptionist can call a taxi. It took literally 2 minutes every time to call taxi and cost was very reasonable. It was a very easy drive since we have kids. The hotel looked like a palace on the inside and outside. The lobby is very rich with marble floor. The main old stone staircase goe... Read more

We stopped at this hotel by chance, as we arrived late in Florence, and this one was on our way. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She showed us the different available rooms and we chose the standard one with the view on the pool. The room was clean, spacious and had a marble bathroom. At our arrival, there was a nice fire crackling in the fireplace of the main living room. In this hotel we felt as if we were on a visit at a friends place. The hotel is located on a hill in a q... We loved staying in the Park Palace - an elegant villa on the outskirts of Florence converted to a small hotel with a restaurant, gardens and pool. Some other reviews have called the decor 'dated', which is a bit perplexing, as its authenticity is part of its appeal and a deliberate style choice - the villa is packed with original features, vintage pieces and acres of artwork. Our room (Cedre) was beautiful - huge and well appointed with very comfortable beds, a sofa and two armchairs (and very ... Read more

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Room had nice walk in closet & great bathroom. Room size was nice & spacious. Only negative comment would be the air conditioning unit, sounded like water running thru pipes & it got loud at times. Spoke to front desk & they sent someone to check on it & the noise level did go down. Hotel has restaurant, we ate dinner there twice on the terrace overlooking the pool. Not a big selection but the food was outstanding. Breakfast was included & that was b... Read more

Loved it here. Stayed a week and went for an upgrade to a superior room with a balcony overlooking the pool - deffo worth the extra. The room was huge and authentically furnished. There's a mini bar (but no tea/coffee in the room). The pool was refreshing but c.o.l.d! Still, we removed our pacemakers and had a dip a couple of times. It'd be fine later in the year when the sun's warmed it I'm sure. Breakfast is fine - a plentiful array of continental options. Dinner (not on Sunday or Monday)... Read more

A very lovely villa, in a quite location, albeit a little way out of the centre of Florence but just a short bus ride down the hill from outside the hotel takes you to all the sites. Our superior room at the rear, on the first floor, with daily change of bed linen, overlooked the hillside and was spacious, exceptionally clean with a large bathroom but our balcony was somewhat shabby and in need of renovation and painting. Breakfast which could be taken on the terrace was superb with an excell... Read more

This awesome hotel palace is located in a very green neighborhood in Florence.its very quiet and spacious. Rooms are big and very chic. Lobby is romantic and lovely. The staff are super friendly and there is a lovely swimming pool and wonderful garden. The breaking is simply delicious and the dinner is gastronomic and unforgettable. It's 20 min walk to the downtown and we walked each time and enjoyed the amazing view of the city from up in the hill and we got drunk by smelling the flowers. I'll... Read more

Everything is OK in this hotel, a little bit outdated, but it has its charm, but the mosquitoes on the terrace, some spraying would be welcome there. We have been billed for the parking that we did not use.

We loved this hotel, a renovated palace, with huge rooms and high ceilings, Beautifully appointed, lovely furnishings, an old world charm. Our first hotel in Europe which came with an extensive buffet breakfast included, Also has a restaurant for dining which came in handy a couple of evenings when we had a long day in Florence and were looking for some quiet time. The hotel is about fifteen minutes away from the city centre, but easily accessible by bus which stops just outside. The staff ... Read more

This hidden gem, high on a hill just outside Florence makes you feel part of a bygone era. Our room did have a view and it was quaintly old fashioned. We took two rooms with our older children and loved the views, charming old villa environs and gorgeous gardens - on several steamy 38 degree days the lusciously tiled "Pucci" pool was a bonus ! All out a wonderful find .

A palace in the park with great hospitality was our best choice for Florens and true value for money. The spacious room, wonderful pool as well as the short distance to walk down to Ponte Vecchio made our stay magic. Dont miss to walk the ancient road via Leonardo that starts close to the hotel and takes you down through the old city down to Ponte Vecchio

What a gem of an hotel, staffed by the loveliest people! We wanted to stay just outside the city and this was the perfect choice. A gracious and elegant building, filled with antiques and boasting a cool garden with pool. When the heat got too much to return to the city centre to dine, dinner on the terrace was an excellent option; in fact, we ate at the hotel 4 nights out of 7. The hotel is on the bus stop into town and even better is on the sightseeing bus route - so if you buy a 72-hour bus... Read more

A charming old fashioned hotel on the outskirts of Florence was a lovely was to see the city but without being in the noisy bustle of the centre. It's a 20 mins walk downhill to the centre but beautiful quiet - a real escape from the city. It has a faded grandeur feel to it. Our room was beautifully decorated and the whole hotel exudes an old world charm. Downsides was the slight lack of attention to detail outside and the whole pool area needed a thorough clean and sweep. Their light supper for... Read more

This was a beautiful hotel -- an oasis in a busy city! It is located not far from Piazza Michaelangelo -- the lookout over the city of Florence. I highly recommend it; the staff was very helpful, the pool was FANTASTIC, and the rooms are clean and spacious (relative to European standards). The breakfast was extensive -- a nice inclusion! You can walk into the centre of the city from the hotel. It's about a 20 minute walk, downhill, under shaded trees. I wouldn't walk back -- it's uphill. In... Read more

We stayed there with my wife while visiting Florence. It is very well located, in a quiet part of the city, but still very beautiful. With a bus stop in front of the hotel or a beautiful 20 minutes walk taking you straight to Ponte Vecchio, we really enjoyed going to Florence's main attractions. I have to admit that the bus service is very surprising for a touristic city (I would say that service is not existing in the drivers' vocabulary), but this has nothing to do with the hotel. I think this hotel was well worth the money. The pool was lovely and the area well maintained. We didn't stay in the main hotel but in a separate little building in the gardens which was lovely. The room was clean and welcoming and I loved the blue and white tiles in the bathroom! The only thing I would have liked would be a folder of information in the room about the hotel, timings for breakfast, info on when food was available etc. All the staff we spoke to couldn't have been more helpful. We loved the building, setting and design of this beautiful mansion hotel. The pool was refreshing and relaxing on the loungers under the trees you had no idea you were within 20min walk of central Florence (via an ancient cobbled street dotted with villas and trees). We had two garden view rooms in the main house (what views, over olive and villa clad hills, straight out of Romeo & Juliet). Both were very comfortable, well appointed and spacious. The hotel is nestled away from the busy downtown area in a lovely area with umbrella pines and large palatial homes. It is a nice little island of quiet and relaxation compared to the overpacked downtown area. Yet it is conveniently located on the 12 and 13 bus lines to/from the train station which makes it easily accessible. The pool is placed amidst a nicely lawned area and while it is not heated it provides a nice relief from the hot Tuscan sun. Some of the rooms have a patio are overlooking ... Read more

The gardens are beautiful and the location pretty good- it took us a 20 minute walk to get to the Duomo. VERY nice staff, helpful. The room that we had was on the top floor and very large with a beautiful view over the countryside. Our friend stayed in the Alcove room which was awful-small and smelly. They could do with a paint job. Breakfast was very good compared to other places in Italy. I loved the grand feeling of the place and its surroundings.

We found this hotel through reviews on Trip Advisor and it was just perfect. We were late arriving but the staff were superb, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a wonderful day of sightseeing using the bus and in the evening the hotel receptionist recommended a great restaurant within walking distance. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with good coffee! Really recommend this hotel, couldn't fault any aspect and hope to return. Special memories made to look back on..

Stayed at this historic picturesque 26 room palace back in Oct 2011 with my daughter. Set upon a hill and within walking distance to Florence.(I had a foot problem at the time and I managed.) Or take the bus which stops right out front. The room was lovely and spacious, the largest we stayed in during our Italy trip. They had every amenity, including heated towel racks, a bidet and docking station (didn't have to use a convertor) for our phones, etc. Our room the il Pino was on the second floor ... Read more
